Atlas

I’m Atlas, a male, white Miniature Schnauzer Mix (maybe with some Westie) who is about a year old and weighs about sixteen pounds with natural ears and tail. I was just rescued from a shelter and my new SRT friends spent some time today giving me a great spa day. Although I can’t tell what happened to me, my friends suspect I was bitten by a dog and have an injury on my neck. Not to worry though, am having surgery to repair it and will be as good as new soon. I’m a quiet car rider and really do like people. I’m not leash trained yet, so will need someone willing to spend a little time helping me conquer that leash. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Atlas, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Dude – fostered in the Dallas area

I’m Dude, a male, black and silver Miniature Schnauzer who is about four years old and weighs about sixteen pounds with natural ears and a docked tail. I’m house, crate and leash trained and also good at jumping up on chairs. I’m great with children, both younger and older ones and am very friendly with other dogs. I was very brave at the groomers and had no issues at all at the vet–even when they stuck me with those needles. I’m a little timid when meeting new people, but warm up quickly and love to cuddle. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Athena, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Ty

I’m Ty, a male black Miniature Schnauzer who is about a year old and weighs about eighteen pounds with natural ears and tail. My foster mom thinks I’m a happy, confident, playful guy who should do well with children, though I haven’t been tested yet. I’m crate trained and sleep quietly in it at night. I walk well on a leash too. I’m house trained, although not 100% perfect, but I know I will have my certificate very soon.  As my foster discovers my other great qualities, my bio will be updated. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Baker, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is 400.

** Adoption Pending ** Athena

I’m Athena, a female white Miniature Schnauzer mix who is about a year old and weighs about twenty pounds with natural ears and tail. I was just rescued from a shelter and the nice lady who gave me a ride thought I was super sweet. I need a foster home so they can tell you all about me. I’m friendly meeting new people and a good car rider. I’m afraid of walking on a leash, but I’m sure I will master it quickly. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Athena, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

I’m Simba, a male apricot mix of possibly cairn terrier and schnauzer who is about two years old and weighs sixteen pounds. I was just rescued from the shelter and my foster is learning about me. So far she knows that I am playful and well behaved. I’ve been playing with my foster’s dog and I’m not food aggressive. I like car rides and being next to my human. My foster will update my bio once she knows more about me. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Simba, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Josie

I’m Josie, a female, black Miniature Schnauzer who is about two years old and weighs about thirteen pounds with natural ears and tail. I’m not looking my best just yet, but my SRT friends tell me I’ll be a beauty again when my coat comes in shiny and healthy. I’m also being treated for an eye infection, but that will be cleared up soon. I’m a quiet girl  who gets along just fine with other dogs. I sleep in my crate at night without a sound. Obviously I didn’t need to be groomed, but when I was bathed, I got high marks for being so good. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Josie, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Sadie

I’m Sadie, a female, salt and pepper Miniature Schnauzer who is about three years old and weighs about twelve pounds with natural ears and a docked tail. SRT rescued me in the nick of time as I needed to have emergency surgery. I’m feeling so much better now and soon will be good as new. I’ve loved everyone I’ve met. The vet’s office said I was their best patient ever. I’m fine around other dogs, a good car rider and even fine being groomed. My foster will update my bio very soon on more of my good qualities. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Sadie, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is 400.

Yogi

I’m Yogi, a male black Miniature Schnauzer mix who is about a year old and weighs about nineteen pounds with natural ears and tail. I was found running the streets with a pal. We were having a good time exploring the world, but I’m now with a foster family. Life really is better in the safety of a home and with food on a regular basis. I’m very friendly and playful and enjoy romping with another dog and love toys. I’m a good car rider and received good marks at the vet. Although I haven’t been around children, my foster thinks I would do great. I’m house and crate trained and ready for my forever home. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Yogi, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is 400.

I’m Domino, a female, black Miniature Schnauzer mix who is about six years old and weighs about eighteen pounds with natural ears and tail. I’m a friendly girl who gets along fine with other dogs. I like people and will go to anyone. I’m also good being bathed and groomed, riding in a car and walking on a leash. I an house and crate trained. While I haven’t been tested with children, I think I would like them too. What more could you want?  Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Domino, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is 300.

Natalia

I’m Natalia, a female salt and pepper Miniature Schnauzer/Poodle mix who is about eight years old and weighs about twelve pounds with natural ears and tail. I was just rescued from a shelter and am in need of a foster home. So far, my new SRT friends know that I am good being groomed and bathed. I am also a good car rider, nice and quiet. ** Adoption Pending ** Marina Eve

I’m Marina Eve, a female, blonde Standard Schnauzer mix who is about a year old and weighs about forty-four pounds. I was found on a marina and that’s how I got my name. I’m a super friendly, calm, patient girl and enjoy being near my human. I sleep quietly at night in my crate. When I meet other dogs, I’m curious but don’t bark at them or act aggressive. While I was getting my bath, I was busy giving kisses to my SRT new friends. I haven’t been tested around children, but everyone thinks I would do fine. I walk well on a leash and don’t pull. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Marina Eve, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is 400.

Baker

I’m Baker a male, black Miniature Schnauzer mix who is about a year old and weighs about twenty-one pounds with natural ears and tail. I was recently rescued from a shelter and am a bit skittish about all the changes in my life. SRT is just learning about me so they can’t tell you yet if I’m house or crate trained. I do warm up and gave the SRT volunteer little kisses. I have been around some other dogs and behaved very well. I was afraid of the clippers and getting my nails trimmed, so I’m still a bit fluffy, which is fine because it is so cold now. I need a home where I can learn that I’ll be safe. No children at this time, until SRT knows more about me. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Baker, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is 400.

Tobby

I’m Tobby, a male salt and pepper Miniature Schnauzer who is about six years old and weighs about eighteen pounds. My owner could no longer take care of me, so she asked SRT to find me a new home. I’m a very friendly boy and get along with other dogs and even cats. My former home had kids living there and I did great with them too. My SRT volunteer gave me a nice bath and haircut and I got an A+ rating. I went to the vet as I have a condition called “dry eye” and got some medicine. Already I’m feeling better. I’m good getting the drops in my eyes, so it’s really no big deal. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Tobby, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is 300.

** Adoption Pending ** Cocoa – a puppy!

I’m Cocoa, a female black Miniature Schnauzer mix who is about four months old and weighs about seven pounds with natural ears and tail. I have been tested with children and did very well. I was with the other pups in my temporary foster home and got along with all four-legged friends. I even got good marks while a the vet. I’m playful and love to cuddle with you–that’s the schnauzer in me for sure.  I am house and crate trained and ready for my new furever home. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Cocoa, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Fred – a puppy!

I’m Fred, a male black and tan, Yorkie mix who is about six months old and weighs about twelve pounds with natural ears and tail. I absolutely love to play with other dogs and running around the yard is a total blast. Hey, I’m a puppy and we have lots of energy. I’m not a fan of the crate, but am learning that sometimes I need to be in it. I’m also learning about house training and know I’ll have that certificate soon. I love people and cuddling is such fun. I’m a good car rider, especially if I have a treat to chew on. I should be good around children, as long as they are kind to me. Yes I know that I’m not a schnauzer, but that’s OK, the SRT folks said they can find me a home. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Fred, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Princeton – fostered in San Antonio

I’m Princeton, a male, white Miniature Schnauzer mix who is about two years old and weighs about seven pounds with natural ears and tail. My owners turned me into a kill shelter because they said they have no time to care for me. Wow, I didn’t think I took that much time. Oh, well I know SRT will find me a wonderful home. I had my spa day and did well with the bath, nail trim, blow dryer and even the clippers. I wasn’t really used to any of that, but was very brave. I am a little nervous meeting new people, but I warm up very fast–just need a little patience on the human’s part. My SRT friends think I will do fine with children, as long as they are kind and gentle with me. I really don’t like when my human leaves me alone and I tend to get a bit vocal, so apartment living is out for me. I am an excellent car rider and do very well on a leash. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Princeton, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is 400.

** Adoption Pending ** Banjo

I’m Banjo, a male black Schnauzer mix who is about a year old and weighs about twenty-seven pounds with natural ears and tail. I was recently rescued from a gas station where I was hanging out. I’m with a great foster mom who is teaching me some basic skills. I never walked on a leash before so I’m learning what that’s all about. I think my perfect home would be another four-legged friend who is about my size and either an all adult home or one with older children. I did have a spa day and did very well with bathing and grooming. I haven’t had that done much, but it was nice. My foster mom will update more about my personality when she knows more to share. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Banjo, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is 400.

** Adoption Pending ** Caramel

I’m Caramel, a female, black and silver Miniature Schnauzer who is about six years old and weighs nineteen pounds. I have natural ears and a docked tail. I’ve settled in nicely with my foster family and have been hitting the treats pretty good so I’m now on a diet.  I like to get up on the couch and bed and snuggle. I have a few four-legged friends and I like playing with them and love my toys. I love playing chase, chewing on elk antlers, getting my tummy rubbed, chin and ears scratched. I had cataract surgery so now I can see everything and it is awesome. I’m house, lease and crate trained. I would prefer an all adult home, but older children would be fine. My back legs shake sometimes, but the vet checked everything out and said I’m fine. Probably just need to build up my muscles some. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Caramel, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $300.

Liam – fostered in Kempner, TX

I’m Liam a male salt and pepper Miniature Schnauzer who is about ten years old and weighs about twelve pounds with cropped ears and a docked tail. I’ve been around children and love being petted by them. I’ve also been around dogs and do great but when I see a cat, I want to play. Sometimes they don’t want to play though, so my foster mom thinks I would do better in a home without cats so they are not annoyed. I did well at the groomer and no problems at the vet. I’m a little shy when meeting new people, but I warm up quickly. Loud noises and voices do scare me and I will cower. Toys are another favorite of mine. I do have cataracts so don’t see very well, but it doesn’t slow me down at all. If you are looking for a friendly well-behaved senior boy, I’m it. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Liam, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $100.

** Adoption Pending ** Mrs Chispa

I’m Mrs Chispa, I’m a female, salt and pepper Miniature Schnauzer who is about ten years old and weighs about sixteen pounds. I have natural ears and a docked tail. Unfortunately my home was flooded in Harvey and me and my mom have been staying with family. What’s even sadder, my mom is moving into a senior living center and I’m not allowed to go with her. I don’t understand because I’m a senior too. I’m house, crate and leash trained. I’m fine meeting other dogs and cats, but don’t care if I have a four-legged friend. I prefer being with my human and enjoy taking walks and playing with my toys. I’m a little shy meeting new people, but warm up quickly.  If you are interested in a well behaved, sweet girl, I’m it. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Mrs. Chispa, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $100.

Soldier

I’m Soldier, I’m a male salt and pepper Miniature Schnauzer who is about five years old and weighs about fifteen pounds. I have natural ears and tail. I’m a bit of an alpha male and do much better with female four-legged friends. As you can see, I like my toys and keep myself entertained with them. I’m house, crate and leash trained.  I was great being groomed. My foster mom also doesn’t think I should go to a family with small children.  I’m a little shy meeting new people, but I warm up quickly. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application an put me, Soldier, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $300.

Shatzi – fostered in Austin

I’m Shatzi, I’m a female salt and pepper Miniature Schnauzer who is about twelve years old and weighs fourteen pounds. I have cropped ears and a docked tail. My family turned me into a shelter because of some “domestic issues”. That’s all I know is that I wasn’t being taken care of anyway, so I’m better off now. I do have some neck pain and am getting some crate rest to allow that to heal. I would do best in an all adult home or with older children because of the issue with my neck. I’m usually friendly with other dogs, unless they are aggressive toward me and then my schnauzerness comes out. Getting groomed right now is difficult because of my pain and I’m very anxious about being hurt. I know I’ll do better when I am feeling better. My foster mom says I’m really sweet and spunky. She says I want to be the Queen Bee. That’s a good thing, right? I’m a low key girl, well behaved, house and crate trained and love going on walks. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Shatzi, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $100.

Homer – fostered in Loft, TX

I’m Homer, a male, black Miniature Schnauzer, 9 years old, 35 pounds with natural ears and a docked tail. My life hasn’t been that easy and so I’m glad I was rescued by SRT. I’ve put on 12 lbs since I was pulled from that shelter and am just right now. My coat was also in bad shape, but with the medicated baths and medication, it is coming back and I know it will be shiny again. I prefer an all adult home where I can spend my senior years relaxing. I’m good with grooming and my bath and enjoy feeling clean!  If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Homer, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $200.

Huey

“Grandma got run over by a reindeer, walking home from our house Christmas eve.” I didn’t get run over by a reindeer, I just had a little respiratory infection. But that’s behind me so let’s get on that sleigh together! I’m Huey and I’m a male, salt & pepper Schnauzer mix (likely a Schnoodle – part Poodle / part Schnauzer) with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about eight years old and I weigh about nineteen pounds. I’m leash trained and I’m also crate trained (but not a big fan of it to be honest). But I’m house trained too…so what’s the point?! I’m a good boy, pretty quiet, and I’m sweet and friendly…though a little timid at first. Once I see how you treat dogs and that I won’t be hurt, I’ll be your best pal! I’m not a real big fan of baths. Maybe I hadn’t had one in a while….I thought I was being attacked by aliens! I’ll keep you updated on my skills and personality. Don’t need to know more? Then click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Huey, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $200

Sabre – fostered in Kempner

srt-sabre-m     srt-sabre-j     srt-sabre-l

“Sing choirs of angels, sing in exultation! Glory in the highest! Oh come let us adore him!” I’ve dreamed of being in a home where someone adores me. It’s the way a dog is supposed to live! I adore you and you adore me! I’m Sabre and I’m a male, white Miniature Schnauzer with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about ten years old and I weigh about twenty-two pounds. I’m a very sweet boy and friendly with my owners. I’m also a bit typical of an older gentleman…a little set in my ways! I don’t really like to be picked up. I don’t like people messing with my face. I do like being outside when it’s nice and I’ll bark to let you know that it’s time for me to come in. Not the other way around you see! The ideal family for me would be a senior couple that just wants a good boy who lets you know that he adores you! I’m leash trained and I do enjoy going for walks. I’m also crate trained and I’m house trained too. I have good manners you know! I’ve played with other dogs and I do fine with them. I can have a friend or not have a friend. Older gents can be a bit indifferent in that way! Look at this face. Look at the adoration! Pick me! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Sabre, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $100.

Lucky Lou

“Now I wait for a break in the silence ’cause it’s all that you left. Just me and these four walls again.” On my own. Hit by a car. Multiple broken bones and fractures and an internal injury too. You might think that it’s just too tall of an order. But SRT, like they always do, came to save the day! I’ve had my surgery and am looking for a forever home. I’m Lucky Lou – and I am lucky! I’m a male, black Shihtzu/poodle mix with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m just one year old and I weigh about eleven pounds. I have a wonderful, loving temperament and I’m really good at giving kisses! I love kids and I have experience. They get kisses too! I’m good with other dogs and I’m partial to small dogs or those just slightly bigger than me. I don’t do as well around big dogs. I bark at them like I’m the one in charge! I sleep in my crate all night! Unfortunately, the injuries from my meeting with the car have left me with permanent damage to some nerve endings and I’m a little incontinent.  I’m OK with a belly band and I sleep on a pad in my crate. I have such a sweet personality and I’m such a good boy. I just need that one home where my one issue isn’t a deal breaker. Maybe it’s you! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application an put me, Lucky Lou, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Wayne – fostered in Conroe

I’m Wayne, a male, tri-color Jack Russell Terrier mix who is about three years old and weighs about ten pounds. I really snuck one over on the nice folks at SRT. So I’m not a schnauzer, big deal. I’m a very friendly, very happy little dude. I am a great car rider, don’t make a sound in my crate. I love other dogs and enjoy playtime. I was excellent at the vet and walk well on a leash. I was recently rescued from a shelter and my foster family will be updating you on my great qualities. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Wayne, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is 400.
