Keaton

I’m Keaton, a male black with white miniature schnauzer mix, about 3 years old and weighing about 22 lbs with natural ears and tail. I had a few things that had to be taken care of when I came into rescue, but I’m feeling so so much better now. I love people and am so happy when someone comes by to say hello. I’m also good with other dogs and a good car rider. I’m crate and leash trained and good being bathed and groomed. I’m in boarding now so once I am in a foster home, you’ll learn more about all of my great qualities. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Keaton, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400

Silvester

I’m Silvester, a male black miniature schnauzer mix, about 3 years old and weigh about 18 lbs with natural ears and a docked tail. Being at the shelter didn’t scare me a bit. I loved everyone I met. I’m now ready to find that perfect home. I’m an active boy and although not tested with children should do fine. Some of the smaller toddlers may get knocked over in my happiness as seeing them though. I get along fine with other dogs and am not a barker. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Silvester, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400

Perry

I’m Perry, a male black and white miniature schnauzer mix (maybe some shihtzu) about 3 years old and about 10 lbs with natural ears and tail. The shelter was a terrifying place and I was so glad to get out of there alive. I’m a timid boy, so would do best in an all adult home as the little ones would probably scare me. I do fine with other dogs and I’m a quiet boy. It takes me a little time to warm up to new people, but once I do, I’m friends with you for life. I really need to be in a home environment so that I can relax. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Perry, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400

Katie Anne – Adoption Pending

I’m Katie Anne, a female, salt & pepper miniature schnauzer, about 11 years old, 10 pounds. I was an emaciated mess when SRT rescued me. But now I’m having so much fun playing with my foster sisters. I’m a total cuddle bug and would love a home where you are there a lot to hold me. I’d also like a friend to play with, but that’s not essential. I am blind so do need some help navigating, but once I learn the home, I do quite well. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Katie Anne, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $100.

Dougie

I’m Dougie, a male, salt and pepper miniature schnauzer, about 7 years old and weigh 15 lbs., with natural ears and a docked tail. I had my spa day and was excellent being bathed and groomed. I do get along just fine with other dogs and am house, crate and leash trained. I’m a good car rider and love being with my human. I just went to a foster home, so I’m sure they will update my bio soon.  Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Dougie, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $300.

Wesley

I’m Wesley, a black male, miniature schnauzer mix about 5 years old and 18 lbs., with natural ears and tail. When I was rescued from the shelter, I was so badly matted, that my front paw was torn down to the bone and ligaments. It took lots of care at the vet, but I’m happy to say that I still have that leg and it works just fine. My foster family thinks I’m the sweetest guy ever. I get along fine with other dogs, am not alpha at all and rarely bark. I’m house and crate trained. I would never even think of marking inside the house, I’m too well-mannered for that. My favorite place is to curl up on your lap while you watch tv. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Wesley, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $300.

Baby Girl – Adoption Pending

I’m Baby Girl, a black female miniature schnauzer, 3 years old and 15 lbs, with cropped ears and a docked tail. My owner fell and broke her hip and is no longer able to care for me. I’m a social girl who loves all people and do well with other dogs. I even ignore the cat. I’ve been around children as young as 4 years old and do fine with them. My other skills are that I’m house, crate and leash trained. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Baby Girl, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Cubbie

I’m Cubbie, a white male miniature schnauzer, about 3 years old, and weighing about 22 lbs with natural ears and a docked tail. I was recently rescued from a shelter covered in fleas and mats. I’m now nice and clean and waiting on my forever home. I wasn’t really a fan of the grooming, but now that all of those mats are off, I think I’ll do better the next time. I do well with other dogs and like to ride in the car. I’m a little nervous about some things, so it is best I go to an all adult home. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Cubbie, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

BlueBell – Adoption Pending

I’m BlueBell a female, salt and pepper miniature schnauzer, about 2 years old and weigh about 24 lbs, with natural ears and a docked tail. I was just rescued but so far I’ve shown what a good car rider I am, that I get along with others, am good being groomed and walking on a leash. I’m a friendly girl and just want a home of my very own. We’ll update BlueBell’s bio once she is in a foster home and we know more about her. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, BlueBell, as a dog of interest. I’m now with a foster family and have a new best friend Sabrina to play with and boy do we have fun. I’m a little on the thin side, but am eating good now.  I’m house and crate trained. I haven’t been tested around children, but I hear that’s next on the list. I did see a cat and didn’t bother it. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Stella Estelle, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Joanie

I’m Joanie, a female salt and pepper miniature schnauzer, about 8 years old and weigh about 14 lbs with natural ears and a docked tail. I’m a very sweet, friendly calm girl who doesn’t have any drama in her life. I get along fine with others, am a good car rider and very quiet. I like to cuddle and lay next to people. I’m a little shy with new people, but am not at all aggressive. Since I am a little shy, young toddlers may scare me, so probably best to go with a family with children who are 10 years or older. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me,  Joanie, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $200.

Magnolia (fostered in San Antonio)

I’m Magnolia, a female brown schnauzer/yorkie mix, about 18 months old and weigh about 15 lbs. For some unknown reason to me, my owners dropped me off at a shelter. I’m no longer scared after getting out of the shelter. I’m a total lap dog and give kisses to thank my foster family. I love playing with toys and can keep myself entertained with them. My foster mom says I’m so sweet and just goes with the flow. Click the  ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Mister, as a dog of interest! My adoption fee is $100.

Hardy Boy

I’m Hardy Boy, a male black and white miniature schnauzer mix about 12 years old and I weigh about 27 lbs with natural ears and tail. My family surrendered me to a local kill shelter because they were moving to a place that didn’t allow pets. Wow, I thought they would have checked that out first before signing a lease. I was with them for 10 years and they told the folks at the shelter that I was house and crate trained and a highly social boy who loves everyone he meets–even cats. I’m good with children and love to play with another dog. With all of these good qualities, wouldn’t you love to adopt me. Click the  ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Hardy Boy, as a dog of interest! My adoption fee is $100.

Misty

I’m Misty a female schnauzer mix about 4 years old and weigh about 24 lbs with natural ears and tail. I was shaved down since the matting so was bad, but you can see my shaggy self. I did fine with grooming and didn’t mind at all getting all spruced up! My foster mom thinks I’m very loving, gentle with a sweet nature.  I’m house and crate trained and very comfortable around other dogs. I’m not food aggressive and have been around a toddler and do just fine. I’m also good with cats.  Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Misty, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400

Cindy (fostered in Riverside, CA)

I’m Cindy, a female white with black schnauzer mix about 10 years old and weigh about 12 lbs, with natural ears and tail. I’m good with my bath, being picked up and handled, house, crate and leash trained. My foster mom said I’m a joy and someone will be lucky to have me in their life. I’m Smiley a black male schnauzer mix about 2 1/2 years old and weigh about 10 lbs with natural ears and tail. I was found with my friend Blanco and am in boarding right now until my foster or forever home is found. I can tell  you that even though I’m very scared right now, I was extremely brave getting groomed and bathed and I never once growled or anything. I have to admit that I feel so much better without all of those nasty fleas on me. Now that I feel safe, I am a total lap dog and love to be held and to get belly rubs.  Click the  ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Smiley, as a dog of interest! I like other dogs and am house trained. If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, El Chavo, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

I don’t jump on people, just greet them calmly. Who could ask for more than that? If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Tobe, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Harold

I’m Harold a male black schnauzer mix who is about 3 years old and weighs about 8 lbs. I’m very timid meeting new people, but once I have a leash on and go for a walk with you, I’m your best friend.  My foster family think I’m a “love bug” because I always want to snuggle.  I’m completely house trained and like my 4-legged sister, Dixie. I was very brave with my grooming and bath. Once I’m your friend, I will remember you always. Since I’m so timid, I would prefer a home with older children as the little ones may scare me. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Harold, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Joe Joe – a puppy (fostered in Austin)

I’m Joe Joe an 8-month old, about 18 pound male tri-color schnauzer mix. I’m an active puppy and love to play play play. Since I’m still so young and active, a home with older children would probably be best. In my excitement, I may knock down a little one. I am house trained but I don’t like that crate. Not needed, remember that I’m housetrained? I’m an outgoing pup and haven’t met a stranger yet.  If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Joe Joe, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Shelby Rue

I’m Shelby Rue, a female, black Schnauzer mix, 3 years old and 10 lbs. with  natural ears and tail. I’m a very sweet girl who loves people. I’ve heard about therapy dogs and I think I would be great at it because I love to be held and to stay right with my human.  I’ve been working very hard on my house training skills. I really don’t need a companion animal , but I’m OK with another 4-legged friend. I was good with my bath and haircut too. If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Shelby Rue, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Baylor

I’m Baylor, a salt and pepper male miniature schnauzer, about 4 years old and weighing a solid 22 lbs. I was rescued from a local shelter and have had a nice spa day to clean up all of the dreadlocks! I was good with my grooming and bath, but one thing I definitely do not like is to be picked up. Hey, I just like to keep my 4 paws on the ground. I would do best in an all adult home. I like to play with other pups and Ella is my best friend–we hang out together all the time. I’d love to be in a home so I could show off my skills, but right now I’m in boarding. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Baylor, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

“Oh, it doesn’t matter what they say in the papers, ’cause it’s always been the same old scene.  There’s a new band in town but you can’t get the sound from a story in a magazine;  Aimed at your average teen.  Everybody’s talkin’ ’bout the new sound, funny, but it’s still rock and roll to me!”  Times are a changing.  These young kids have a new word for just about everything…like it’s something really new.  But most things just stay the same. Kind of like a man and his dog.  That never goes out of style.  Companionship.  There’s just not other words that describe it!  I’m Boy Bear…if you say it fast, it sounds like Boyds Bear!  I’m a kidder.  I’m a male Miniature Schnauzer mix with natural ears and a docked tail.  I’m about eight years old and I weigh about fourteen pounds.  My previous owner died and, well, keeping up with a dog and his needs wasn’t easy in the end.  I like the human friends I’ve met but I would do better around older children. I’m generally fine with other dogs.  I am crate trained and I’m house trained too. I’ve got a lot of love I can share!  I just completed cataract surgery. One bad eye had to be removed but I’m like a new man with my other eye! I can see again. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Boy Bear, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $200.

My name is Truman and I’m a male, liver-parti Miniature Schnauzer with natural ears and a docked tail. I’m about eight years old and I weigh about ten pounds. I’ve got a great temperment and I think I’d be great with older kids.  I’m easy to handle and I do great on a leash! I’m crate trained and I’m house trained too! I’ve interacted with other four-legged friends and I do well playing with others. I’d love a home where we hang out and spend time together. I’ve missed that in a relationship! O forever home! I’m a happy guy who enjoys playing with other dogs, but I sometimes like to bully the smaller ones–in a nice way. I’m a little exuberant when meeting new people, so my foster mom thinks children who are 10 years and older would be best for me. I only have one eye, but that doesn’t slow me down at all. Most of all, I love being in your lap and getting that wonderful ear rub. If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Parker, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400

Diamond (fostered in Abilene area)

I’m Diamond a female, brown (with silver highlights) Schnauzer Mix, 2 years old, 22 pounds with natural ears and tail. I would prefer a home with children who are over 10 years old as the younger ones make me a bit nervous. I enjoy playing with other dogs and having  a companion dog who likes to play too would be awesome. Grooming and vet visits are scary for me, but I try to be brave and not move at all.  I’m learning from my foster home, that humans can be kind. It will take me a little more time to be convinced, but I’m getting there. If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Diamond, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400

I’m Kutter, a male, black & silver Miniature Schnauzer, 2 years old, 16 pounds with natural ears and tail. I love everyone I meet and my tail never stops wagging. I used to live outdoors all the time and love being inside with my foster family. I would do fine with children, but since I’m so happy to see them, it would best they are over 5 years old so I don’t knock them down with my happy greeting. I was scared at the groomer, but was very brave and they said I was excellent. If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Kutter, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400

Timmy (fostered in the Abilene area)

I’m Timmy a male, tan (with reddish highlights), 3 years old, 10 pound terrier mix. I would do best in a home with children who are 12 years or older.  I enjoy playing with 4-legged pals and do well with both boys and girls. I don’t need to be groomed often, but when I do, I’m fine getting spruced up. My favorite thing in the world is cuddling with you and the second thing is sleeping under the covers.  If that’s not your thing, I’m OK with sleeping in my crate too.  If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Timmy, as a dog of interest. Jake….From State Farm!

“What are you wearing, Jake from State Farm?”  “Uh…khakis.”  Ha ha! I love that commercial. I wear black khakis! I’m Jake and I’m a male, black Schnauzer Mix with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about four years old and I weigh just ten pounds. I’m totally blind. I’m just going to get that one out there from the start. But, you might be surprised what all I can do! I’m a good and friendly boy. I play well with others but I like my space when it’s feeding time. When you can’t see who might be trying to sneak a bite of your food, you get a little protective of it! I like a few toys and sometimes I try to play with the other dogs with toys. I can’t say that I’m house trained but I’ve had very few accidents at my foster mom’s home. I do well once I navigate where the door is and when I’m taken out at regular intervals. Team approach! I’m not really big on the whole crate thing. I love being outside and enjoy the wind in my face. I do like walks but I’m going to need some help with that leash. Every walk is a new experience. Close your eyes when you walk…and you’ll see what I mean! If you have some patience and love, that’s all I need to be happy! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Jake – From State Farm, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

I’m Corbin a male, tri-color schnauzer mix, 18 months old, 16 pounds with a natural tail and ears. I’m a little shy when meeting new people and will dance around wanting to meet you, but still a little hesitant. My tail never stops wagging though. I’m Champ, a male, salt & pepper Miniature Schnauzer, 10 years old, 14 pounds, with cropped ears and a docked tail. I love staying with my foster mom who has been taking such good care of me. I now get good food, baths and lots of cuddle time. My last owners said they didn’t have the money to feed me or care for me. I was sad to lose my home, but now know that things are much better. SRT has made sure I had the medicine I need for my skin infections from those nasty fleas (who are all gone now) and I’ve even had a nice dental so my teeth are pearly white. If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Champ, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $100.

Ruffles (fostered in San Antonio)

I’m Ruffles, a female, black Schnauzer Mix, 6 years old, 21 pounds with natural ears and a docked tail. My foster mom said I’m the best foster ever. She’s selling her house and said no more fosters, except for me. I can stay. I’m quiet and enjoy playing with my foster brother. I so enjoy hanging out with my foster family and they  let me curl up on the coach with them and even on their tempurpedic! I’m completely housetrained, good around children. Since I’m not a purebred, I do shed a little, but the trade off is less expense on grooming! I do have to admit that I’m not a fan of cats. They are so much fun to chase, but they don’t seem to like it. If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Ruffles, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $300.

Thumper

I’m Thumper, a male, white Schnauzer/Poodle Mix, 10 years old, 21 pounds, with natural ears and docked tail. I’m great with other dogs, but I don’t really need a playmate. At my age, a ride in the car or laying in the sun on a nice day works just fine. I’m house trained and enjoy sitting next to you while you watch tv or just hang out. If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Thumper, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $100.

Homer

I’m Homer, a male, black Miniature Schnauzer, 9 years old, 35 pounds with natural ears and a docked tail. My life hasn’t been that easy and so I’m glad I was rescued by SRT. I’ve put on 12 lbs since I was pulled from that shelter and am just right now. My coat was also in bad shape, but with the medicated baths and medication, it is coming back and I know it will be shiny again. I prefer an all adult home where I can spend my senior years relaxing. I’m good with grooming and my bath and enjoy feeling clean!  If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Homer, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $200.

Ludwig

I’m Ludwig, a male, salt & pepper Miniature Schnauzer, 10 years old, 13 pounds with natural ears and a docked tail. When I was pulled from the shelter, the good folks at SRT didn’t think I was going to make it. But I’m a tough dude. The vet stitched me up and there were A LOT of stitches. I’ve fully recovered and am doing great. Unfortunately my vision is gone, but that doesn’t stop me from following one of my pals around. I so enjoy cuddle time with my foster and look forward to the day I have my forever home. If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Ludwig, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $100.

Huey

“Grandma got run over by a reindeer, walking home from our house Christmas eve.” I didn’t get run over by a reindeer, I just had a little respiratory infection. But that’s behind me so let’s get on that sleigh together! I’m Huey and I’m a male, salt & pepper Schnauzer mix (likely a Schnoodle – part Poodle / part Schnauzer) with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about eight years old and I weigh about nineteen pounds. I’m leash trained and I’m also crate trained (but not a big fan of it to be honest). But I’m house trained too…so what’s the point?! I’m a good boy, pretty quiet, and I’m sweet and friendly…though a little timid at first. Once I see how you treat dogs and that I won’t be hurt, I’ll be your best pal! I’m not a real big fan of baths. Maybe I hadn’t had one in a while….I thought I was being attacked by aliens! I’ll keep you updated on my skills and personality. Don’t need to know more? Then click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Huey, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $200

Brandon

I’m Brandon, a  male, salt & pepper Miniature Schnauzer, 13 years old, 22 pounds with natural ears and tail. I may be nearly blind and a senior,  but it doesn’t slow me down. I quickly memorized my foster home and I can outwalk the hardiest walker. I love playing tug-of-war, going on long walks to be petted and loved on. I’m a great watchdog and have a good sense of hearing. I really don’t like young puppies who are annoying and always jumping around on me. I don’t mind dogs who are calm like me. I’m also fine with cats — they don’t bother me at all!  If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Brandon, as a dog of interest. Contact SRT for my adoption fee.

Sabre

“Sing choirs of angels, sing in exultation! Glory in the highest! Oh come let us adore him!” I’ve dreamed of being in a home where someone adores me. It’s the way a dog is supposed to live! I adore you and you adore me! I’m Sabre and I’m a male, white Miniature Schnauzer with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about ten years old and I weigh about twenty-two pounds. I’m a very sweet boy and friendly with my owners. I’m also a bit typical of an older gentleman…a little set in my ways! I don’t really like to be picked up. I don’t like people messing with my face. I do like being outside when it’s nice and I’ll bark to let you know that it’s time for me to come in. Not the other way around you see! The ideal family for me would be a senior couple that just wants a good boy who lets you know that he adores you! I’m leash trained and I do enjoy going for walks. I’m also crate trained and I’m house trained too. I have good manners you know! I’ve played with other dogs and I do fine with them. I can have a friend or not have a friend. Older gents can be a bit indifferent in that way! Look at this face. Look at the adoration! Pick me! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Sabre, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $100.

Lucky Lou

“Now I wait for a break in the silence ’cause it’s all that you left. Just me and these four walls again.” On my own. Hit by a car. Multiple broken bones and fractures and an internal injury too. You might think that it’s just too tall of an order. But SRT, like they always do, came to save the day! I’ve had my surgery and though I’m still recovering, I can now begin looking for a forever home. I’m Lucky Lou – and I am lucky! I’m a male, black Shihtzu/poodle mix with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m just one year old and I weigh about nine pounds. I have a wonderful, loving temperament and I’m really good at giving kisses! I love kids and I have experience. They get kisses too! I’m good with other dogs and I’m partial to small dogs or those just slightly bigger than me. I don’t do as well around big dogs. I bark at them like I’m the one in charge! I sleep in my crate all night! Unfortunately, the injuries from my meeting with the car have left me with permanent damage to some nerve endings and I’m a little incontinent.  I’m OK with a belly band and I sleep on a pad in my crate. I have such a sweet personality and I’m such a good boy. I just need that one home where my one issue isn’t a deal breaker. Maybe it’s you! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application an put me, Lucky Lou, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.
