Shy

“He started something good and I’m gonna believe it; He started something good and he’s gonna complete it. So I’ll celebrate the truth; His work in me ain’t through. I’m just unfinished!” I’m getting my self put back together. Just you wait! Soon, I’m going to be finished! I’m Shy and I’m a female, black Miniature Schnauzer with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about ten years old and I weigh about nine pounds. Wet. I had a home once…but the problem wasn’t me. It was them! I’m a very sweet girl and I love my human friends. I’d be great with kids! I also like my four-legged friends. Treat a girl nice and you have my attention! I’m crate trained and I’m house trained too! I don’t have much use for that leash thing…but you can teach me that. I have a special diet that I’m on due to a renal insufficiency. But that’s nothing. I’m almost finished! You can make it happen! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Shy, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $100.

Daisy Mae (being fostered in San Antonio)

“Here and now; You can be honest. I won’t try to promise that someday it all works out. But there will be beauty where beauty was ash and stone. This much I know, oh, my soul, you are not alone.” I never want to be alone. I’m Daisy Mae and I’m a female, cream and apricot Schnauzer mix (maybe with a little poodle) with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about five years old and weigh about twelve pounds. I lost my family due to some human issues…but at least they brought me to SRT, where I’ll be safe. I’m a little skittish, so think I would do best in an all adult home (or at least a home with older children). I’m fine around other dogs, but really don’t need a pal to hang around with. I’m submissive around my four-legged friends. I’d just like a place to call my own. A place where I’m not alone. Your place! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Daisy Mae, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $300.

Anna

“It’s easy to sing when there’s nothing to bring me down. But what will I say when I’m held to the flame like I am right now? I know you’re able and I know you can; Save through the fire with your mighty hand!” A mighty hand. A safe and happy home. Yes please – I’ll take both! I’m Ana and I’m a female, salt & pepper Schnauzer mix with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about four years old and I weigh about fourteen pounds. My pup is Naveen and he can be seen on a separate post. I’m a shy girl and I wasn’t made for life on the streets. I was made for laps. And kisses. And love! I’m super sweet and very quiet. I think I’ll love being around kids…well, the nice and gentle kids. Those that are like me! SRT is working on my coat to bring me back to my gorgeous self. More will be known about my skills and personality when I find a foster. But why wait for that? Just look at this face! Take your mighty hand and click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Anna, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Smiley

I’m Smiley a black male schnauzer mix about 2  years old and weigh about 10 lbs with natural ears and tail.  I’m a little shy, but I warm up quickly. Within 5 minutes of meeting my foster, I’m sleeping on her lap. I get along just fine with other dogs and would probably do fine with a cat too. I would be good with children who are gentle with me as they may scare me. I’m house and crate trained and a good car rider too.  Now that I feel safe, I am a total lap dog and love to be held and to get belly rubs.  Click the  ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Smiley, as a dog of interest! My adoption fee is $400.

Manny – Adoption Pending

I’m Manny, a white male miniature schnauzer who is about one year old and weighs 12 lbs with natural ears and a docked tail. I was just rescued from a local kill shelter and I’ve had a nice bath and a haircut. Fleas gone! I was excellent with both and enjoyed being combed and petted. I’ve met some other 4-legged buddies and got along just fine. I need a foster home so my other great qualities will be revealed. I should be good around children as I’m very sweet. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Manny, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Princess D – fostered in Dallas

I’m Princess D, a female black miniature schnauzer who is about 4 years old and weighs about 22 lbs with natural ears and a docked tail. I was amazed that my family moved out of the apartment and forgot to take me with them. How could that happen? Some nice people got me before I died of thirst and now I’m with SRT and I know they will find me a great home. I’m good with other dogs and enjoy a fun romp and I’m house trained too. Someone shaved all of my mats off and unfortunately my beard hit the floor too. Don’t worry it will grow back and I’ll be beautiful again soon. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Princes D., as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Cora

I’m Cora, a female black and brown mixed breed who is 6 months old and weighs 13 lbs. Yes, I know I’m not a schnauzer, but a few people fell in love with me and decided I was too cute to be euthanized at the shelter. I love my foster mom and am having a blast playing with the foster 4-legged friends. I am an energetic girl who loves to investigate things and explore the outdoors. I do like to keep my foster mom in sight though to be sure she is safe. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Cora, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Miles

I’m Miles, a male,  parti-color miniature schnauzer mix who is about 2 years old and weighs about 10 lbs with natural ears and tail. I was recently rescued from a kill shelter and I’ve been very scared. I’ve been warming up to my SRT friends and had a nice bath and haircut. Fleas and mats are now gone. I really need a foster home as I’m even a bit scared of other dogs. I think I would prefer an all adult home as I am so timid and not sure of things just yet. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Miles, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Lincoln

I’m Lincoln, a male black miniature schnauzer mix about 2 years old and 22 lbs with natural ears and tail. I was recently rescued from a shelter in the Houston area. I’ve been in boarding since rescued, but my SRT friends can testify that I am a friendly guy who gets along well with others. I did excellent with my bath and being groomed too. I’d really like to be in a foster home so I can share my other talents with everyone. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Lincoln, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Cutie

I’m Cutie, a female salt and pepper miniature schnauzer mix, about 2 years old and weigh 10 lbs with natural ears and tail. I had a nasty burn on my back and am unable to tell SRT what happened. But the good news is they took me to the vet right away and I was treated for it. Maybe hair won’t grow back but that’s OK, I’m still a lovable girl.  I love people and give everyone I meet a kiss. I am playful and would love a home where I have another pal to play with and to steal the toys. I’m house, crate and leash trained.  Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Cutie, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Brandon – fostered in Austin

I’m Brandon, a  male, salt & pepper Miniature Schnauzer, 13 years old, 22 pounds with natural ears and tail. I may be nearly blind and a senior,  but it doesn’t slow me down. I quickly memorized my foster home and I can outwalk the hardiest walker. I love playing tug-of-war, going on long walks to be petted and loved on. I’m a great watchdog and have a good sense of hearing. I really don’t like young puppies who are annoying and always jumping around on me. I don’t mind dogs who are calm like me. I’m also fine with cats — they don’t bother me at all!  If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Brandon, as a dog of interest. Contact SRT for my adoption fee.

Bruiser

I’m Bruiser, a male, black and brown schnauzer mix, about 4 years old and 30 lbs with natural ears and tail. I’m feeling much better after recovering from that nasty ear infection. I’m a friendly boy who gets along with others, is good being bathed and groomed. My friends at SRT think I would be good with children as I’m so friendly. Toddlers may get knocked down, so a little older children would probably be best though.   Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Bruiser, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Elle Rose

I’m Elle Rose, a female black miniature schnauzer mix about 6 months old and weigh about 14 lbs with natural ears and tail. I was rescued off the streets by a good samaritan and am now in a loving foster home. I’m getting good food and water and soon my coat will be shiny and bright. I’m a super loving girl and am so happy to be in a home. I love other dogs and should do fine with children who are kind to me. I’m a happy, affectionate and playful girl and love everyone I meet – human or canine. My foster mom says I’m unusually docile for a sweet youngster and she is so close to awarding me my house training certificate. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Elle Rose, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Astrid – fostered in San Antonio area

I’m Astrid, a white female miniature schnauzer mix/terrier about 5 months old and weigh about 8 lbs with natural ears and tail. I’m a little timid of people, but once I know you, I’m a snuggling monster and love being held on your lap. My 4-legged foster siblings are a lot bigger than me and I’m just a bit intimidated by them, but we are best friends now and we’re having fun playing together.  I was pee pad trained, but I’m learning about grass and the great outdoors. I’ve conquered the house training now! My foster mom thinks I’m adorable and very sweet. I’m ready for my forever home, so be sure to Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Astrid, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Stevie

I’m Stevie, a male black and white schnauzer mix about 1 year old and weigh about 14 lbs with natural ears and tail. Even though I’m 14 lbs., I really need to gain about 5 lbs so am loving all of the additional treats. I’m a super friendly boy and like everyone I meet–both 2-legged and 4-legged. I really didn’t care for my bath, but I was good about it. I was fine getting my pedicure and didn’t fuss at all. I’m crate trained, although I would prefer to be near you. SRT will update you more on my great qualities after I’ve been placed into a foster home. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Stevie, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

I’m Wicker, a male salt and pepper miniature schnauzer about 1 year old and 12 lbs with natural ears and tail. I’m a very sweet and patient boy with small children and good around other dogs. I’m Boo, a female, black and tan schnauzer/terrier mix less than a year old and weighing 30 lbs with natural ears and tail. I was rescued from a shelter in Corpus Christi and am now in Houston. I’m house and crate trained and believe I’ll be good around children as I am young, playful and sweet. I get along fine with other dogs and have been good with everyone I’ve met so far. I am quite the jumper, so will need a home with a secure fence. I’m also a little afraid of men–I’m sure I’ll get over it when I know I’ll be safe in their care. SRT will update my bio once they know more about me. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Boo, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Lilly Sue – Adoption Pending

I’m Lilly Sue, a female white miniature schnauzer who is about 12 years old and weighs about 12 lbs with natural ears and a docked tail. My mom moved and said she couldn’t take me with her. I don’t understand why, but at least I’m safe with SRT who is looking for someone who wants a sweet girl. I’m house, crate and leash trained. I’ve been around little children and do fine with them, but really a senior girl doesn’t want to be bothered by toddlers, so older children please. I’m also good with other dogs and even cats. I’m ready to cuddle with you. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Lilly Sue, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $100.

Silvester

I’m Silvester, a male black miniature schnauzer mix, about 3 years old and weigh about 18 lbs with natural ears and a docked tail. Being at the shelter didn’t scare me a bit. I loved everyone I met. I’m now ready to find that perfect home. I’m an active boy and although not tested with children should do fine. Some of the smaller toddlers may get knocked over in my happiness as seeing them though. I get along fine with other dogs and am not a barker. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Silvester, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400

Perry – fostered in Austin

I’m Perry, a male black and white miniature schnauzer mix (maybe some shihtzu) about 3 years old and about 8 lbs with natural ears and tail. The shelter was a terrifying place and I was so glad to get out of there alive. I’m a timid boy, so would do best in an all adult home as the little ones would probably scare me. I do fine with other dogs and cats too. I’m a quiet boy but I like to make ferocious noises when I’m playing tug-o-war. It takes me a little time to warm up to new people, but once I do, I’m friends with you for life. My favorite place is curled up in your lap and my tail never stops wagging. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Perry, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400

I’m Katie Anne, a female, salt & pepper miniature schnauzer, about 11 years old, 10 pounds. I was an emaciated mess when SRT rescued me. But now I’m having so much fun playing with my foster sisters. I’m a total cuddle bug and would love a home where you are there a lot to hold me. I’d also like a friend to play with, but that’s not essential. I am blind so do need some help navigating, but once I learn the home, I do quite well. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Katie Anne, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $100.

I’m a little shy with new people, but am not at all aggressive. Since I am a little shy, young toddlers may scare me, so probably best to go with a family with children who are 10 years or older. Magnolia – Adoption Pending

I’m Magnolia, a female brown schnauzer/yorkie mix, about 18 months old and weigh about 15 lbs. For some unknown reason to me, my owners dropped me off at a shelter. I’m no longer scared after getting out of the shelter. I’m a total lap dog and give kisses to thank my foster family. I love playing with toys and can keep myself entertained with them. I get along fine with other non-aggressive dogs and even like the cat. I like car rides and am house trained.  If interested in adopting, click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Magnolia, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Hardy Boy

I’m Hardy Boy, a male black and white miniature schnauzer mix about 12 years old and I weigh about 27 lbs with natural ears and tail. My family surrendered me to a local kill shelter because they were moving to a place that didn’t allow pets. Wow, I thought they would have checked that out first before signing a lease. I was with them for 10 years and they told the folks at the shelter that I was house and crate trained and a highly social boy who loves everyone he meets–even cats. I’m good with children and love to play with another dog. With all of these good qualities, wouldn’t you love to adopt me. Click the  ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Hardy Boy, as a dog of interest! My adoption fee is $100.

El Chavo (fostered in Austin area)

I’m El Chavo a male black and tan miniature schnauzer mix about 4 years old and weigh about 26 lbs with natural ears and tail. I was found on a back road and taken in by some nice people. I like other dogs and am house trained. If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, El Chavo, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Tobe – adoption pending

I’m Tobe, a black male schnauzer (maybe) mix about 2 years old and weighing about 25 lbs, with natural ears and tail. My foster mom thinks I’m the easiest foster ever. I know why. I’m house and crate trained, I get along with the other pups and even the cat! I am friendly, quiet and super sweet. I’m good meeting strangers and  love children. I don’t jump on people, just greet them calmly. Who could ask for more than that? If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Tobe, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Harold

I’m Harold a male black schnauzer mix who is about 3 years old and weighs about 8 lbs. I’m very timid meeting new people, but once I have a leash on and go for a walk with you, I’m your best friend.  My foster family think I’m a “love bug” because I always want to snuggle.  I’m completely house trained and like my 4-legged sister, Dixie. I was very brave with my grooming and bath. Once I’m your friend, I will remember you always. Since I’m so timid, I would prefer a home with older children as the little ones may scare me. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Harold, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Joe Joe – a puppy (fostered in Austin) – Adoption Pending

I’m Joe Joe an 8-month old, about 18 pound male tri-color schnauzer mix. I’m an active puppy and love to play play play. Since I’m still so young and active, a home with older children would probably be best. In my excitement, I may knock down a little one. I am house trained but I don’t like that crate. Not needed, remember that I’m housetrained? I’m an outgoing pup and haven’t met a stranger yet.  If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Joe Joe, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Shelby Rue

I’m Shelby Rue, a female, black Schnauzer mix, 3 years old and 10 lbs. with  natural ears and tail. I’m a very sweet girl who loves people. I’ve heard about therapy dogs and I think I would be great at it because I love to be held and to stay right with my human.  I’ve been working very hard on my house training skills. I really don’t need a companion animal , but I’m OK with another 4-legged friend. I was good with my bath and haircut too. If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Shelby Rue, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

“Oh, it doesn’t matter what they say in the papers, ’cause it’s always been the same old scene.  There’s a new band in town but you can’t get the sound from a story in a magazine;  Aimed at your average teen.  Everybody’s talkin’ ’bout the new sound, funny, but it’s still rock and roll to me!”  Times are a changing.  These young kids have a new word for just about everything…like it’s something really new.  But most things just stay the same. Kind of like a man and his dog.  That never goes out of style.  Companionship.  There’s just not other words that describe it!  I’m Boy Bear…if you say it fast, it sounds like Boyds Bear!  I’m a kidder.  I’m a male Miniature Schnauzer mix with natural ears and a docked tail.  I’m about eight years old and I weigh about fourteen pounds.  My previous owner died and, well, keeping up with a dog and his needs wasn’t easy in the end.  I like the human friends I’ve met but I would do better around older children. I’m generally fine with other dogs.  I am crate trained and I’m house trained too. I’ve got a lot of love I can share!  I just completed cataract surgery. One bad eye had to be removed but I’m like a new man with my other eye! I can see again. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Boy Bear, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $200.

My name is Truman and I’m a male, liver-parti Miniature Schnauzer with natural ears and a docked tail. I’m about eight years old and I weigh about ten pounds. I’ve got a great temperment and I think I’d be great with older kids.  I’m easy to handle and I do great on a leash! I’m crate trained and I’m house trained too! I’ve interacted with other four-legged friends and I do well playing with others. I’d love a home where we hang out and spend time together. I’ve missed that in a relationship! O forever home! I’ve just completed cataract surgery and I’m doing well. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Truman, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $200.

Parker (fostered in the Abilene area)

I’m Parker a male, black & brown Schnauzer mix, 3 years old, 13 pounds with natural ears and tail. I’m a happy guy who enjoys playing with other dogs, but I sometimes like to bully the smaller ones–in a nice way. I’m a little exuberant when meeting new people, so my foster mom thinks children who are 10 years and older would be best for me. I only have one eye, but that doesn’t slow me down at all. Most of all, I love being in your lap and getting that wonderful ear rub. If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Parker, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400

Diamond (fostered in Abilene area)

I’m Diamond a female, brown (with silver highlights) Schnauzer Mix, 2 years old, 22 pounds with natural ears and tail. I would prefer a home with children who are over 10 years old as the younger ones make me a bit nervous. I enjoy playing with other dogs and having  a companion dog who likes to play too would be awesome. Grooming and vet visits are scary for me, but I try to be brave and not move at all.  I’m learning from my foster home, that humans can be kind. It will take me a little more time to be convinced, but I’m getting there. If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Diamond, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400

Kutter (fostered in Abilene area)

I’m Kutter, a male, black & silver Miniature Schnauzer, 2 years old, 16 pounds with natural ears and tail. I love everyone I meet and my tail never stops wagging. I used to live outdoors all the time and love being inside with my foster family. I would do fine with children, but since I’m so happy to see them, it would best they are over 5 years old so I don’t knock them down with my happy greeting. I was scared at the groomer, but was very brave and they said I was excellent. If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Kutter, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400

Timmy (fostered in the Abilene area)

I’m Timmy a male, tan (with reddish highlights), 3 years old, 10 pound terrier mix. I would do best in a home with children who are 12 years or older.  I enjoy playing with 4-legged pals and do well with both boys and girls. I don’t need to be groomed often, but when I do, I’m fine getting spruced up. My favorite thing in the world is cuddling with you and the second thing is sleeping under the covers.  If that’s not your thing, I’m OK with sleeping in my crate too.  If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Timmy, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400

img_0066

I’m Mila a female, black Schnauzer mix, a year old , 45 pounds with natural ears and tail. I’m house trained and good around children–even toddlers. I would prefer to be an only dog as I don’t like to share my toys or food! I’m good with grooming and bathing. Since I’m a mix, I don’t need to be groomed as often so less expense. I’m Kurt a male, chocolate Schnauzer Mix, 18 months old, 13 pounds with a natural tail and ears. My foster mom thinks I’m the best foster she’s ever had. She said I have a wonderful temperament, and good playing with her other dogs. I should be fine around the little kids too, but haven’t been tested. I’m housetrained and a quiet car rider. My foster mom says I will be gorgeous once my coat comes back in nice and shiny. If interested, click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Kurt, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Muppet Baby

I’m Muppet Baby, a female black & white Miniature Schnauzer, 10 months old, 15 pounds with natural ears and tail.  I am great with kids and other dogs.  I love giving kisses, and receiving cuddles.  I would be the perfect dog for any family!  In the past, people have sometimes scared me, but after being with my foster family for a few months, I have learned that people can be very nice and now I know that I can trust them.  I still sometimes get a little nervous in new situations but once I feel comfortable and safe, I will be your best friend.  I love to be close to my people and I am always content to lay down and snuggle next to you.  I do still have a lot of puppy energy though and I love to run!  I would be so happy to have you throw me a ball and let me chase it.  I would also love to have a four-legged friend to play with.  I’m super sweet and I’m never aggressive.  I prefer not to be left alone by myself for a long time, but if it happens I promise I will not throw a fit.  I will just be very excited and happy when you come back!  All I want most is to feel safe and secure, be loved a lot, and to have the opportunity to give that love back.  I will be a fun, loyal, and trustworthy companion. If interested in adopting, click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Muppet Baby, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Ryder

I’m Ryder, a male brindle Miniature Schnauzer mix, 2 years old, 15 pounds, with a natural tail and ears. I’m a friendly guy who enjoys romping with my friends. I am good being bathed and groomed and am starting to look quite handsome now. I’m housetrained and good living in an apartment. I don’t disturb the neighbors! If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Ryder, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Jake….From State Farm!

“What are you wearing, Jake from State Farm?”  “Uh…khakis.”  Ha ha! I love that commercial. I wear black khakis! I’m Jake and I’m a male, black Schnauzer Mix with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about four years old and I weigh just ten pounds. I’m totally blind. I’m just going to get that one out there from the start. But, you might be surprised what all I can do! I’m a good and friendly boy. I play well with others but I like my space when it’s feeding time. When you can’t see who might be trying to sneak a bite of your food, you get a little protective of it! I like a few toys and sometimes I try to play with the other dogs with toys. I can’t say that I’m house trained but I’ve had very few accidents at my foster mom’s home. I do well once I navigate where the door is and when I’m taken out at regular intervals. Team approach! I’m not really big on the whole crate thing. I love being outside and enjoy the wind in my face. I do like walks but I’m going to need some help with that leash. Every walk is a new experience. Close your eyes when you walk…and you’ll see what I mean! If you have some patience and love, that’s all I need to be happy! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Jake – From State Farm, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Corbin (fostered in Dallas area)

I’m Corbin a male, tri-color schnauzer mix, 18 months old, 16 pounds with a natural tail and ears. I’m a little shy when meeting new people and will dance around wanting to meet you, but still a little hesitant. My tail never stops wagging though. I like other dogs and would do best with older children as I think the younger ones would scare me. I’m house and crate trained and I’m working on my leash training now. I love sitting on the couch next to my foster mom and giving her kisses. I also like to gather toys. Mom says I’m a love! If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Corbin, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Ruffles (fostered in San Antonio)

I’m Ruffles, a female, black Schnauzer Mix, 6 years old, 21 pounds with natural ears and a docked tail. My foster mom said I’m the best foster ever. She’s selling her house and said no more fosters, except for me. I can stay. I’m quiet and enjoy playing with my foster brother. I so enjoy hanging out with my foster family and they  let me curl up on the couch with them and even on their tempurpedic! I’m completely housetrained, good around children. Since I’m not a purebred, I do shed a little, but the trade off is less expense on grooming! I do have to admit that I’m not a fan of cats. They are so much fun to chase, but they don’t seem to like it. If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Ruffles, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $300.

Thumper

I’m Thumper, a male, white Schnauzer/Poodle Mix, 10 years old, 21 pounds, with natural ears and docked tail. I’m great with other dogs, but I don’t really need a playmate. At my age, a ride in the car or laying in the sun on a nice day works just fine. I’m house trained and enjoy sitting next to you while you watch tv or just hang out. If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Thumper, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $100.

Homer – fostered in Loft, TX

I’m Homer, a male, black Miniature Schnauzer, 9 years old, 35 pounds with natural ears and a docked tail. My life hasn’t been that easy and so I’m glad I was rescued by SRT. I’ve put on 12 lbs since I was pulled from that shelter and am just right now. My coat was also in bad shape, but with the medicated baths and medication, it is coming back and I know it will be shiny again. I prefer an all adult home where I can spend my senior years relaxing. I’m good with grooming and my bath and enjoy feeling clean!  If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Homer, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $200.

Huey

“Grandma got run over by a reindeer, walking home from our house Christmas eve.” I didn’t get run over by a reindeer, I just had a little respiratory infection. But that’s behind me so let’s get on that sleigh together! I’m Huey and I’m a male, salt & pepper Schnauzer mix (likely a Schnoodle – part Poodle / part Schnauzer) with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about eight years old and I weigh about nineteen pounds. I’m leash trained and I’m also crate trained (but not a big fan of it to be honest). But I’m house trained too…so what’s the point?! I’m a good boy, pretty quiet, and I’m sweet and friendly…though a little timid at first. Once I see how you treat dogs and that I won’t be hurt, I’ll be your best pal! I’m not a real big fan of baths. Maybe I hadn’t had one in a while….I thought I was being attacked by aliens! I’ll keep you updated on my skills and personality. Don’t need to know more? Then click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Huey, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $200

Sabre

srt-sabre-m     srt-sabre-j     srt-sabre-l

“Sing choirs of angels, sing in exultation! Glory in the highest! Oh come let us adore him!” I’ve dreamed of being in a home where someone adores me. It’s the way a dog is supposed to live! I adore you and you adore me! I’m Sabre and I’m a male, white Miniature Schnauzer with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about ten years old and I weigh about twenty-two pounds. I’m a very sweet boy and friendly with my owners. I’m also a bit typical of an older gentleman…a little set in my ways! I don’t really like to be picked up. I don’t like people messing with my face. I do like being outside when it’s nice and I’ll bark to let you know that it’s time for me to come in. Not the other way around you see! The ideal family for me would be a senior couple that just wants a good boy who lets you know that he adores you! I’m leash trained and I do enjoy going for walks. I’m also crate trained and I’m house trained too. I have good manners you know! I’ve played with other dogs and I do fine with them. I can have a friend or not have a friend. Older gents can be a bit indifferent in that way! Look at this face. Look at the adoration! Pick me! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Sabre, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $100.

Lucky Lou

“Now I wait for a break in the silence ’cause it’s all that you left. Just me and these four walls again.” On my own. Hit by a car. Multiple broken bones and fractures and an internal injury too. You might think that it’s just too tall of an order. But SRT, like they always do, came to save the day! I’ve had my surgery and am looking for a forever home. I’m Lucky Lou – and I am lucky! I’m a male, black Shihtzu/poodle mix with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m just one year old and I weigh about nine pounds. I have a wonderful, loving temperament and I’m really good at giving kisses! I love kids and I have experience. They get kisses too! I’m good with other dogs and I’m partial to small dogs or those just slightly bigger than me. I don’t do as well around big dogs. I bark at them like I’m the one in charge! I sleep in my crate all night! Unfortunately, the injuries from my meeting with the car have left me with permanent damage to some nerve endings and I’m a little incontinent.  I’m OK with a belly band and I sleep on a pad in my crate. I have such a sweet personality and I’m such a good boy. I just need that one home where my one issue isn’t a deal breaker. Maybe it’s you! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application an put me, Lucky Lou, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Jackson Joe

“You can do the impossible, because you have been through the unimaginable.” Christina Rasmussen. A guy my age, still trying to find that perfect home. I always had my son with me, but he’s recently passed. No one should outlive their children…it’s just not right. And it’s heartbreaking. But maybe I can find a home and live out my life in peace, knowing that I was loved. That’s why I’m looking to you! I’m Jackson Joe, people call me J J, and I’m a male, black & silver Schnauzer with natural ears and a docked tail. I’m 14 years old and I weigh about 17 pounds. Given my age, I’d probably be best in an all-adult home. I’d love it if someone were around during the day. I’d sure like some company…and not just at night. I get along with other dogs at playtime but inside my home, I’m an only dog kind of guy. I need to be your only four-legged friend. I’ve got good house skills…I’m crate trained and I’m house trained too! I still like walks and I’m good on a leash. There are many pluses to being mature! I’m just a sweet guy whose friendly and needs a little love in his life. That’s where you come in! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Jackson Joe, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $100.
