Poco

I’m Poco, a black and tan male schnauzer mix about 1 1/2 years old and about 16 lbs with natural ears and a docked tail. I’m a friendly boy who gets along with others. I like people and will go up to anyone. I was found with a nice harness but unfortunately I can’t explain how I got lost from my former owners. I didn’t have any tags on or a microchip. The nice people who found me weren’t able to keep me, but I stayed with them and was able to show off my house training skills. Life with my foster family is awesome. I have a 4-legged friend to play with and share the bed. I also have a 2-legged toddler who I just adore. I give her lots of kisses. I don’t jump on furniture unless asked. Really what more could anyone want? Click the  ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Poco, as a dog of interest! My adoption fee is $400.

Patty

I’m Patty a female black miniature schnauzer  about 9 years old and about 14 lbs, with cropped ears and a docked tail. I arrived in horrible shape and the silly shelter workers thought I was a boy. Now that I’m nice and clean, I’m ready for my forever home. One who will take better care of me that’s for sure. I’m very good being groomed and bathed. I’m fine meeting new little doggies too. I’m a quiet car rider and like hanging out with my humans. My foster mom calls me a sweetheart and says I’m easy to love. Click the  ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Patty, as a dog of interest! My adoption fee is $200.

Justin

I’m Justin a male black and brown schnauzer mix about 2 1/2 years old and about 31 lbs with natural ears and tail. I was at a shelter for almost 4 months before they reached out to SRT to help find my forever home. My foster mom says I’m a doll. I am house and crate trained and my new best friend is a giant schnauzer. My favorite place is in your lap or beside you.  If you want an active pup who loves all people and other animals, I’m your man.  Even though I’m not a purebred, I don’t shed. I’m ready for my forever home so,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Justin, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Caroline (fostered in Dallas area)

srt-Caroline         srt-Caroline-3

“Shyness is nice; And shyness can keep you from doing all the things in life you’d like to. So if there’s something you’d like to try, ask me! I won’t say ‘no’. How could I?”  It’s a little scary being me and hanging out at a shelter with a bunch of pit bulls! Yikes. Makes me nervous! But I’m slowly making progress and realizing that this is going to be A-OK moving forward! I’d love to be on your lap now! I’m Caroline and I’m a female, black & silver Schnauzer with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about three years old and I weigh less than ten pounds. I’m crate trained and I’m house trained…and everyone likes that!  I’m also leash trained! I’m doing great with my foster mom. I trust her now and I’ve been super sweet. I teased her a bit by running off with the contents of her sandwich one day! Oh…slightly sneaky! But it was fun. I’d like a family that is quiet and patient and able to help me come out of my shell a bit.  Does that sound like you? Then click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Caroline, as a dog of interest! My adoption fee is $400.

Bob

I’m Bob a male grey and white schnauzer/poodle mix about 4 years and weigh about 14 lbs. I’m the sweetest guy and think I would be good around children as I’m very gentle. I’m a good car rider and have no problems being picked up and petted! I get along fine with other dogs and am ready for my new home. Since I’m in a kennel, I can’t show off my house training skills yet, but I am crate trained. If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Bob, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Maks

I’m Maks a male, white/apricot Miniature Schnauzer/poodle mix, 2 years old, 13 pounds with natural ears and tail. I was just rescued from a local shelter. The first thing SRT volunteers did was to give me a haircut. You see, I hadn’t had one in my entire life. I was a bundle of mats all stuck together and was lucky I could even walk. I have to admit that I’m a handsome fellow.  I was so patient with the grooming and pedicure, they gave me an A+ for my behavior. I’ve been quiet in my crate at the kennel, easy to walk on a leash and I loved posing for my pictures even though I was so excited that I was clean. If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Maks, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Dakota

I’m Dakota a female salt and pepper miniature schnauzer mix about 4 years old and weigh about 18 lbs. I’m a very timid girl and need someone who will have lots of patience with me. I don’t have much confidence that I’ll be safe and need time to overcome my fears. I’m not aggressive at all and would do best with a companion animal who can help show me the way. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Dakota, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

El Chavo (fostered in Austin area)

I’m El Chavo a male black and tan miniature schnauzer mix about 4 years old and weigh about 26 lbs with natural ears and tail. I was found on a back road and taken in by some nice people. They took care of me while trying to find my owners. They never did and now I’m in need of a home. I’m a bit shy meeting new people. I have been tested around a baby and I was just fine. I like other dogs and am house trained. If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, El Chavo, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Frazier

I’m Frazier a male salt and pepper schnauzer, about 7 years old and weighing 35 lbs, with natural ears and tail. I’m house and crate trained and love my humans, both big and small. I love them so much, I want to protect them from any danger and become protective. I’m a good watch dog and will alert to any visitors. If interested in adopting me, click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Frazier, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $300.

Tobe

I’m Tobe, a black male schnauzer (maybe) mix about 2 years old and weighing about 25 lbs, with natural ears and tail. My foster mom thinks I’m the easiest foster ever. I know why. I’m house and crate trained, I get along with the other pups and even the cat! I am friendly, quiet and super sweet. I’m good meeting strangers and  love children. I don’t jump on people, just greet them calmly. Who could ask for more than that? If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Tobe, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Raven (adoption pending)

I’m Raven a female black and white schnauzer mix who is 10 weeks old and weighs about 8 lbs. I’m a little love and enjoy being held, playing with other dogs and just being adorable. My foster mom said I’m doing really good on my house training. I’m ready for adoption and looking for a home with another playmate or someone who is home a lot so I can have fun. Remember I’m a puppy! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Raven, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Harold

I’m Harold a male black schnauzer mix who is about 3 years old and weighs about 8 lbs. I’m very timid meeting new people, but once I have a leash on and go for a walk with you, I’m your best friend.  My foster family think I’m a “love bug” because I always want to snuggle.  I’m completely house trained and like my 4-legged sister, Dixie. I was very brave with my grooming and bath. Once I’m your friend, I will remember you always. Since I’m so timid, I would prefer a home with older children as the little ones may scare me. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Harold, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Joe Joe – a puppy

I’m Joe Joe an 8-month old, about 18 pound male tri-color schnauzer mix. I’m an active puppy and love to play play play. Since I’m still so young and active, a home with older children would probably be best. In my excitement, I may knock down a little one. I am house trained but I don’t like that crate. Not needed, remember that I’m housetrained? I’m an outgoing pup and haven’t met a stranger yet.  If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Joe Joe, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Lainey (fostered in San Antonio)

I’m Lainey, a salt and pepper female miniature schnauzer, with natural ears and a docked tail. I’m about 8 years young and weigh about 16 lbs. I’m house, crate and leash trained. I’m also quiet which some think is rare for a schnauzer! I’m good around other dogs, but my favorite activity is to cuddle with my human. My foster mom hasn’t seen me around children but she thinks I would be fine as long as the children are gentle as I’m a bit timid. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Lainey, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $200.

Symphony (fostered in San Antonio)

I’m Symphony, a black and silver female miniature schnauzer, with natural ears and a docked tail. I’m about 6 years old and weigh about 27 lbs. Yes, I know I need to lose some weight and my foster mom is keeping those treats to a bare minimum. I’m house, crate and leash trained. I’m also quiet which some think is rare for a schnauzer! I’m good around other dogs and enjoy playing with another dog.  My foster mom hasn’t seen me around children but she thinks I would be fine as long as the children are gentle as I’m a bit timid. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Symphony, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $300.

Brentwood

I’m Brentwood a one year old, 13 lb black and gold pup. Yes I’m a Steelers fan! I like playing with my friends at the kennel, but would love to be in a home. Since I still have puppy tendencies, it would be best if I have an active family with another dog to play with. Otherwise I entertain myself by doing puppy things–some people think they are destructive, but I like to think they needed modification. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Brentwood, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Justine

I’m Justine, a female with white with black coloring about  1 year old and weighing 38 lbs. The shelter where I was rescued said I was a 4 month old standard schnauzer. I’m glad they had no idea I wasn’t a schnauzer, otherwise I wouldn’t have been saved by SRT. So I’m now one of the schnauzer friends. I’m a friendly girl, a little submissive but very sweet. I’m good with my other 4-legged friends and gentle around humans. I haven’t been tested around children, but should be fine as I’m very sweet, remember? You won’t have to spend a lot of money on grooming for me, just a bath and I’m good to go. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Justine, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Baylor

I’m Baylor, a salt and pepper male miniature schnauzer, about 4 years old and weighing a solid 22 lbs. I was rescued from a local shelter and have had a nice spa day to clean up all of the dreadlocks! I was good with my grooming and bath, but one thing I definitely do not like is to be picked up. Hey, I just like to keep my 4 paws on the ground. I would do best in an all adult home. I like to play with other pups and Ella is my best friend–we hang out together all the time. I’d love to be in a home so I could show off my skills, but right now I’m in boarding. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Baylor, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Boy Bear

IMG_1786 (1)     IMG_1780 (1)     IMG_1773 (1)

“Oh, it doesn’t matter what they say in the papers, ’cause it’s always been the same old scene.  There’s a new band in town but you can’t get the sound from a story in a magazine;  Aimed at your average teen.  Everybody’s talkin’ ’bout the new sound, funny, but it’s still rock and roll to me!”  Times are a changing.  These young kids have a new word for just about everything…like it’s something really new.  But most things just stay the same. Kind of like a man and his dog.  That never goes out of style.  Companionship.  There’s just not other words that describe it!  I’m Boy Bear…if you say it fast, it sounds like Boyds Bear!  I’m a kidder.  I’m a male Miniature Schnauzer mix with natural ears and a docked tail.  I’m about eight years old and I weigh about fourteen pounds.  My previous owner died and, well, keeping up with a dog and his needs wasn’t easy in the end.  I like the human friends I’ve met but I would do better around older children. I’m generally fine with other dogs.  I am crate trained and I’m house trained too. I’ve got a lot of love I can share!  I just completed cataract surgery. One bad eye had to be removed but I’m like a new man with my other eye! I can see again. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Boy Bear, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $200.

Keyko (fostered in San Antonio)

I’m Keyko, a tan and silver male schnauzer/terrier mix. I’m about 1 year old  and weigh about 16 pounds. I’m great meeting new pups and very friendly towards everyone I meet. I’m house and crate trained and also good on a leash. I have lots of talents!  Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Keyko, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Truman

img_8637     img_8641     img_8631

“O Christmas tree! Not only in the summertime, but even in winter is they prime! O Christmas tree! How are they leaves so verdant!” It doesn’t matter to me if it’s summertime or wintertime – I’m always there as your affectionate, loyal friend. O Truman! My name is Truman and I’m a male, liver-parti Miniature Schnauzer with natural ears and a docked tail. I’m about eight years old and I weigh about ten pounds. I have a friendly, outgoing personality and I’ll just walk right up and greet anyone I see. I’ve got a great temperment and I think I’d be great with older kids.  I’m easy to handle and I do great on a leash! I’m crate trained and I’m house trained too! I’ve interacted with other four-legged friends and I do well playing with others. I’d love a home where we hang out and spend time together. I’ve missed that in a relationship! O forever home! I’ve just completed cataract surgery and I’m doing well. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Truman, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $200.

Ella

I’m ELLA a female, black Schnauzer mix, 1 year old and 24 lbs. with  natural ears and tail. I was found wandering around a construction site and animal control took me to a local shelter. Luckily lots of people were watching out for me and I was pulled pretty quickly. I am a submissive girl but my tail never stops wagging. I would love to be in a home where I can show off my other talents.   If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Ella, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Shady

I’m Shady a female black schnauzer mix, 1 year old, 31 pounds with natural ears and tail. I’m a little shy meeting new people, but I warm up pretty quickly. I didn’t really like the crate at first, but it’s OK now. I’d prefer going on walks though. I’m very good on a leash. When I meet new dogs, I don’t bark or make a fuss.  If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Shady, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Tango (adoption pending)

I’m Tango a male, salt and pepper miniature schnauzer, 2 years old and 16 lbs, with natural ears and docked tail.  I’m currently in boarding and would love to be in a home so I can show off all of my talents. I do know that I am crate trained and a good car rider. Getting groomed and bathed are things I enjoy — I went too long without and love being clean now. Since I’m a little stressed with all of the changes, I would prefer an all adult home. If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Tango, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

I’m Sasha  a female, black and brown (maybe there is some schnauzer in me) 1 years old and 45 lbs. with  natural ears and tail.  I was recently rescued from a local shelter and am enjoying playing with my new friends at the kennel. I’m a friendly girl and get along with everyone. I know I’m not a schnauzer, but am glad I am safe. I know SRT will find me a great home.   If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Sasha, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Prince Charming

I’m Prince Charming a male, chocolate and tan Miniature Schnauzer, 1 year old, 14 pounds with natural ears and tail. I’m super friendly with everyone I meet and enjoy ear and belly rubs and watching TV with you. I also like playing with another 4-legged friend. If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Prince Charles, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Abe

I’m Abe, a male, brown beagle, something else mix,  3 years old and 25 pounds. I’m timid, but playful and my foster mom says I’m a quick learner. I’m completely housetrained, crate trained and walk wonderfully on a leash (mom says so). I love other dogs, both big small and sunbathing outside when it is cool is fun. It has been wonderful at my foster home, I’m learning to trust humans again and even go thru doorways now on my own. If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Abe, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Sabrina Rose

I’m Sabrina Rose, a female, strawberry-blonde, 2 years old, 12 pounds furry friend with SRT. I get along fine with other dogs although I do try to be the alpha sometimes. Unfortunately no one is buying my alpha role.  My foster mom thinks I’ll be good with children, but I haven’t been around any yet. I love attention and like to play and toys are great fun. I’m house and crate trained, but who needs a crate? Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Sabrina Rose, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Parker (fostered in the Abilene area)

I’m Parker a male, black & brown Schnauzer mix, 3 years old, 13 pounds with natural ears and tail. I’m a happy guy who enjoys playing with other dogs, but I sometimes like to bully the smaller ones–in a nice way. I’m a little exuberant when meeting new people, so my foster mom thinks children who are 10 years and older would be best for me. I only have one eye, but that doesn’t slow me down at all. Most of all, I love being in your lap and getting that wonderful ear rub. If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Parker, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400

Diamond (fostered in Abilene area)

I’m Diamond a female, brown (with silver highlights) Schnauzer Mix, 2 years old, 22 pounds with natural ears and tail. I would prefer a home with children who are over 10 years old as the younger ones make me a bit nervous. I enjoy playing with other dogs and having  a companion dog who likes to play too would be awesome. Grooming and vet visits are scary for me, but I try to be brave and not move at all.  I’m learning from my foster home, that humans can be kind. It will take me a little more time to be convinced, but I’m getting there. If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Diamond, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400

Kutter (fostered in Abilene area)

I’m Kutter, a male, black & silver Miniature Schnauzer, 2 years old, 16 pounds with natural ears and tail. I love everyone I meet and my tail never stops wagging. I used to live outdoors all the time and love being inside with my foster family. I would do fine with children, but since I’m so happy to see them, it would best they are over 5 years old so I don’t knock them down with my happy greeting. I was scared at the groomer, but was very brave and they said I was excellent. If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Kutter, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400

Timmy (fostered in the Abilene area)

I’m Timmy a male, tan (with reddish highlights), 3 years old, 10 pound terrier mix. I would do best in a home with children who are 12 years or older.  I enjoy playing with 4-legged pals and do well with both boys and girls. I don’t need to be groomed often, but when I do, I’m fine getting spruced up. My favorite thing in the world is cuddling with you and the second thing is sleeping under the covers.  If that’s not your thing, I’m OK with sleeping in my crate too.  If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Timmy, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400

Mila

img_0066

I’m Mila a female, black Schnauzer mix, a year old , 45 pounds with natural ears and tail. I’m house trained and good around children–even toddlers. I would prefer to be an only dog as I don’t like to share my toys or food! I’m good with grooming and bathing. Since I’m a mix, I don’t need to be groomed as often so less expense. That’s a good thing, right? If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Mila, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400

Kurt (fostered in Dallas area)

Jake….From State Farm!

“What are you wearing, Jake from State Farm?”  “Uh…khakis.”  Ha ha! I love that commercial. I wear black khakis! I’m Jake and I’m a male, black Schnauzer Mix with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about four years old and I weigh just ten pounds. I’m totally blind. I’m just going to get that one out there from the start. But, you might be surprised what all I can do! I’m a good and friendly boy. I play well with others but I like my space when it’s feeding time. When you can’t see who might be trying to sneak a bite of your food, you get a little protective of it! I like a few toys and sometimes I try to play with the other dogs with toys. I can’t say that I’m house trained but I’ve had very few accidents at my foster mom’s home. I do well once I navigate where the door is and when I’m taken out at regular intervals. Team approach! I’m not really big on the whole crate thing. I love being outside and enjoy the wind in my face. I do like walks but I’m going to need some help with that leash. Every walk is a new experience. Close your eyes when you walk…and you’ll see what I mean! If you have some patience and love, that’s all I need to be happy! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Jake – From State Farm, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Corbin (fostered in Dallas area)

I’m Corbin a male, tri-color schnauzer mix, 18 months old, 16 pounds with a natural tail and ears. I’m a little shy when meeting new people and will dance around wanting to meet you, but still a little hesitant. My tail never stops wagging though. I like other dogs and would do best with older children as I think the younger ones would scare me. I’m house and crate trained and I’m working on my leash training now. I love sitting on the couch next to my foster mom and give her kisses. I also like to gather toys. Mom says I’m a love! If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Corbin, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Champ

I’m Champ, a male, salt & pepper Miniature Schnauzer, 10 years old, 14 pounds, with cropped ears and a docked tail. I love staying with my foster mom who has been taking such good care of me. I now get good food, baths and lots of cuddle time. My last owners said they didn’t have the money to feed me or care for me. I was sad to lose my home, but now know that things are much better. SRT has made sure I had the medicine I need for my skin infections from those nasty fleas (who are all gone now) and I’ve even had a nice dental so my teeth are pearly white. If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Champ, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $100.

Ruffles

I’m Ruffles, a female, black Schnauzer Mix, 6 years old, 21 pounds with natural ears and a docked tail. My foster mom said I’m the best foster ever. She’s selling her house and said no more fosters, except for me. I can stay. I’m quiet and enjoy playing with my foster brother. I so enjoy hanging out with my foster family and they  let me curl up on the coach with them and even on their tempurpedic! I’m completely housetrained, good around children. Since I’m not a purebred, I do shed a little, but the trade off is less expense on grooming! If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Ruffles, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $300.

Thumper

I’m Thumper, a male, white Schnauzer/Poodle Mix, 10 years old, 21 pounds, with natural ears and docked tail. I’m great with other dogs, but I don’t really need a playmate. At my age, a ride in the car or laying in the sun on a nice day works just fine. I’m house trained and enjoy sitting next to you while you watch tv or just hang out. If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Thumper, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $100.

Hazel

I’m Hazel a female, chocolate & tan Schnauzer Mix, 2 years old, 20 pounds with natural ears and tail. I adore my foster mom and love cuddling with her as much as I can. Sometimes she has to go to work even though I would prefer she stay with me 24/7. I’m leash trained, crate trained and house trained. I also love to play fetch and even sometimes bring it back. Since I’m still a young girl, I like to chew on things so my foster mom gives me kongs to keep me busy while she is away. I would prefer an all adult home as children make me very nervous with the squeals and fast movements.  If interested, click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Hazel, as a dog of interest. My adoption Fee $400.

Homer

I’m Homer, a male, black Miniature Schnauzer, 9 years old, 29 pounds with natural ears and a docked tail. My life hasn’t been that easy and so I’m glad I was rescued by SRT. I’ve put on 7 lbs since I was pulled from that shelter and still need a few more pounds so I can look my very best. My coat was also in bad shape, but with the medicated baths and medication, it is coming back and I know it will be shiny again. I prefer an all adult home where I can spend my senior years relaxing. I’m good with grooming and my bath and enjoy feeling clean!  If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Homer, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $200.

Travis (fostered in the Dallas area)

I’m Travis,  white and tan male, 1 year old, 13 pounds with natural ears and tail. Yeah, I know I’m not a schnauzer, but I am cute. I like other dogs and enjoy play time. My BFFs are a heeler and a Great Pryenees and their bigger size doesn’t faze me at all.  I also enjoy kids and will curl up with them while they are doing their homework. I’m good riding in the car and quiet while at home. I sleep in my crate at night so I don’t hog the bed. Since I’m not a schnauzer, you don’t need to spend a lot of money on grooming. I’m a wash and go kind of guy. If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Travis, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Ludwig

I’m Ludwig, a male, salt & pepper Miniature Schnauzer, 10 years old, 13 pounds with natural ears and a docked tail. When I was pulled from the shelter, the good folks at SRT didn’t think I was going to make it. But I’m a tough dude. The vet stitched me up and there were A LOT of stitches. I’ve fully recovered and am doing great. Unfortunately my vision is gone, but that doesn’t stop me from following one of my pals around. I so enjoy cuddle time with my foster and look forward to the day I have my forever home. If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Ludwig, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $100.

Dalton – A Puppy! (fostered in Austin)

I’m Dalton, a male, black, 5 month old, 11 lbs. short haired breed. OK, so the shelter folks told SRT I was a schnauzer. Saved my life so I don’t mind their little white lie.  As you can imagine, I love to play and run around and have fun. I’ve learned that house training and crate training are important and I always want to please. My foster dad takes me on walks so I can get the hang of that too. I would so love a friend to play with or if you are home a lot, we can play together. If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Dalton, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Chloe Marie (adoption pending)

I’m Chloe Marie, a white female, 2 years old, 7 pound, maltese with natural ears and tail. Hey I could be a schnauzer–check out my beard. Things have been a little rough for me since my owner had to go into the nursing home. I used to just sit on her lap and it was just the 2 of us. I REALLY prefer to the your only one. I’m now with a professional trainer who is helping me to understand that it is OK to have other dogs in the house. My new best friend is a 5 year old who I follow around. I am even ignoring the other dogs and am focusing on her. I so want to please, but it is hard. If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Chloe Marie, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Huey

“Grandma got run over by a reindeer, walking home from our house Christmas eve.” I didn’t get run over by a reindeer, I just had a little respiratory infection. But that’s behind me so let’s get on that sleigh together! I’m Huey and I’m a male, salt & pepper Schnauzer mix (likely a Schnoodle – part Poodle / part Schnauzer) with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about eight years old and I weigh about nineteen pounds. I’m leash trained and I’m also crate trained (but not a big fan of it to be honest). But I’m house trained too…so what’s the point?! I’m a good boy, pretty quiet, and I’m sweet and friendly…though a little timid at first. Once I see how you treat dogs and that I won’t be hurt, I’ll be your best pal! I’m not a real big fan of baths. Maybe I hadn’t had one in a while….I thought I was being attacked by aliens! I’ll keep you updated on my skills and personality. Don’t need to know more? Then click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Huey, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $200

Brandon

I’m Brandon, a  male, salt & pepper Miniature Schnauzer, 13 years old, 22 pounds with natural ears and tail. I may be nearly blind and a senior,  but it doesn’t slow me down. I quickly memorized my foster home and I can outwalk the hardiest walker. I love playing tug-of-war, going on long walks to be petted and loved on. I’m a great watchdog and have a good sense of hearing. I really don’t like young puppies who are annoying and always jumping around on me. I don’t mind dogs who are calm like me. I’m also fine with cats — they don’t bother me at all!  If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Brandon, as a dog of interest. Contact SRT for my adoption fee.

Randy

I’m Randy, a male, salt & pepper Miniature Schnauzer, 1 year old, 16 pounds, with natural ears and tail. I can be a little nervous around small children who move quickly and makes lots of noise, so I would prefer a home with older children. I don’t mind being groomed or bathed and enjoy riding in a car. I’m house and crate trained, though I don’t always like to go in the crate.  If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Randy, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Sabre

“Sing choirs of angels, sing in exultation! Glory in the highest! Oh come let us adore him!” I’ve dreamed of being in a home where someone adores me. It’s the way a dog is supposed to live! I adore you and you adore me! I’m Sabre and I’m a male, white Miniature Schnauzer with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about ten years old and I weigh about twenty-two pounds. I’m a very sweet boy and friendly with my owners. I’m also a bit typical of an older gentleman…a little set in my ways! I don’t really like to be picked up. I don’t like people messing with my face. I do like being outside when it’s nice and I’ll bark to let you know that it’s time for me to come in. Not the other way around you see! The ideal family for me would be a senior couple that just wants a good boy who lets you know that he adores you! I’m leash trained and I do enjoy going for walks. I’m also crate trained and I’m house trained too. I have good manners you know! I’ve played with other dogs and I do fine with them. I can have a friend or not have a friend. Older gents can be a bit indifferent in that way! Look at this face. Look at the adoration! Pick me! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Sabre, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $100.

Tay (adoption pending)

image1-1     img_8173

“There’s hunger everywhere, we’ve got to take a stand; Reach out for someone’s hand. Love makes the world go round!” My world has been going ’round and ’round…and love didn’t have anything to do with it. The lack of love, maybe! I want to see how my world spins when I’m in your loving forever home! I’m Tay and I’m a male, black Schnauzer mix with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about three years old and I weigh about thirteen pounds. I’m somewhat of a shy and timid boy but, once I warm up, I just can’t get enough of my human friends. I would probably be OK around gentle children. I like other dogs and I’m fine with them. I’m one of the quiet ones…you’ll like that about me! I like to go on walks and I’m going to say that I’m an expert on a leash. Almost an expert. I’m crate trained and I’m house trained too! I’ve got a certificate with my name on it! Do you have a frame? You can hang it above my dog bed! I’ve got it all planned out. Let’s get started! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Tay, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Lucky Lou

“Now I wait for a break in the silence ’cause it’s all that you left. Just me and these four walls again.” On my own. Hit by a car. Multiple broken bones and fractures and an internal injury too. You might think that it’s just too tall of an order. But SRT, like they always do, came to save the day! I’ve had my surgery and though I’m still recovering, I can now begin looking for a forever home. I’m Lucky Lou – and I am lucky! I’m a male, black Schnauzer mix with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m just one year old and I weigh about nine pounds. I have a wonderful, loving temperament and I’m really good at giving kisses! I love kids and I have experience. They get kisses too! I’m good with other dogs and I’m partial to small dogs or those just slightly bigger than me. I don’t do as well around big dogs. I bark at them like I’m the one in charge! I sleep in my crate all night! Unfortunately, I’m not house trained and it’s possible, due to my injuries, the surgery and potential damage to some nerve endings, that I might never be. I’m OK with a belly band and I sleep on a pad in my crate. I have such a sweet personality and I’m such a good boy. I just need that one home where my one issue isn’t a deal breaker. Maybe it’s you! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application an put me, Lucky Lou, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.
