Clover

I’m Clover, I’m a female, black Miniature Schnauzer mix who is about eight months old and weighs about sixteen pounds. I have natural ears and tail. I’ve had my bath and trim and am ready for my home. I’m a little nervous with all of the changes in my life and so my SRT friends think I should go to a home with older children. I do get along fine with other dogs. I’m a good car rider and am a quiet little girl. Once I’m in a foster home, SRT will update my bio. If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Clover, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Hayden

I’m Hayden, I’m a male chocolate Miniature Schnauzer who is about one year old and weighs about twenty-one pounds. I have natural ears and a natural tail. I was just rescued from a shelter and have impressed all of my new SRT friends. I’m friendly to everyone I meet, good with other dogs. I am house and crate trained. I’m a good traveler and a quiet one too. I got high marks for my behavior when I had my bath and was groomed. I’m looking for my forever home now. If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Hayden, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Shadow, Sr. – fostered in San Antonio

I’m Shadow, Sr., I’m a male salt and pepper Miniature Schnauzer/Yorkie mix. I’m about thirteen years old and weigh seven pounds with natural ears and a docked tail. My family decided they couldn’t take care of me any more. In truth, they weren’t doing such a good job lately. I was covered in fleas and had a skin infection, which the vet said was chronic. I’m on medication and have had a medicated bath and am starting to feel better already. I enjoyed my bath and little trim. I also love being held and cuddled. I would do best as an only dog because the bigger ones scare me. If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Shadow Sr, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $50.

Maverick

I’m Maverick, I’m a salt and pepper Miniature Schnauzer mix who is about two years old and weighs about seventeen pounds. I have natural ears and tail. I was recently rescued from a shelter and SRT is just getting to know more about me. I’m very people oriented and love being where ever you are. I’m a good car rider as long as I’m not in that crate in the back. Again, I want to be where you are. I did get a medicated bath and a little trim and I was very well behaved. As soon as SRT knows more about me, they will update my bio. In the meantime, I need a foster home so I won’t have to be in a kennel. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Maverick, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is 400.

** Adoption Pending ** Asha

I’m Asha, I’m a salt and pepper female Miniature Schnauzer mix, probably with poodle. I’m about two years old and weigh about twelve pounds. I have natural ears and tail. I was busy taking care of my little puppies who are now six weeks old and will be ready for adoption soon. I can now focus on me! I’m a quiet little girl who is good around other dogs. I’m house, crate and leash trained. I’m also a good car rider. I love to snuggle and just hang out with you. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Asha, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Cozette

I’m Cozette, I’m a black and tan female Miniature Schnauzer mix who is about eight months old and weighs about twenty-four pounds. I have natural ears and tail. I was just rescued from the shelter and they said I was a giant. How funny! I’m doing well at my foster home and have gotten great marks for housetraining and riding in the car. I do cry a little when I’m put into a crate, but if someone comes in the room, I’m fine. Guess I’m just a little worried, I’ll be forgotten. My foster mom says I’m a total sweetheart and just an angel. I have an eleven year old human sister and we are getting along great. I think little toddlers would make me nervous so I’d prefer older gentle children. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Cozette, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

** Adoption Pending ** Hanna – fostered in Austin

I’m Hanna, I’m a female salt and pepper Miniature Schnauzer mix, possibly with poodle who is about ten months old and weighs about eighteen pounds. I have natural ears and tail. I was just rescued from a shelter and my foster mom said that I’m very friendly, sweet and playful. I enjoy playing with other dogs too. I do play bite since I’m still a puppy, but I’m learning not to do that anymore. Mom said she can’t give me my house training certificate just yet, but I know that will be very soon. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Hanna, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Sebastian – fostered in Bossier City, LA

“If I told you the mess that I can be, when there’s no one there to see.” “Could you look the other way?” “Would you love me anyway?” I’m Sebastian, I’m a black with some white Miniature Schnauzer who is about two years old and weighs about twenty pounds. I have natural ears and tail. My early life wasn’t great and because of that I’m fearful of strangers. I tend to bark at all new people. I do enjoy playing with other dogs though. My foster mom has a six year old granddaughter and we get along great. I tend to be protective of her and my foster mom who gives me belly rubs and lets me sleep in the big bed. I’m much less fearful than when first rescued out of that shelter and I’m learning to trust people again.  Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Sebastian, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

** Adoption Pending ** Willow

“A dazzling place I never knew. But when I’m way up here, it’s crystal clear that now I’m in a whole new world with you!” I’m Willow and I’m a female, salt & pepper Miniature Schnauzer with natural ears and a docked tail. I’m about twelve years old and I weigh about eleven pounds. My former owners moved out and left me behind. I guess they grew tired of me. Probably wanted something ‘new’. Fortunately, a neighbor took me in. Good thing…they didn’t leave me any groceries at my last house! SRT is caring for me now and they’ll have my coat back into shape in no time. I’m going to regain my beauty! I’m happy to report that I’m crate trained and house trained too. I also do well on a leash. I know…it makes you wonder why I’d be the one left behind. I get along fine with other dogs and cats as well. I should be fine with children too because I’m a very easy going, sweet girl. Nothing seems to faze me. I’m looking for my retirement home where we can spend time snuggling and just chilling out. I want this whole new world! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Willow, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $100.

Hansel

“Tell me you love me, come back and haunt me! Running in circles, chasing our tails. Coming back as we are.” I’m Hansel and I’m a male, black Schnauzer mix with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about five years old and I weigh about thirty-two pounds. My owner got sick and had to go into a nursing home. Since no one in the family could take me in, I ended up in a shelter. Luckily, SRT came and picked me up as the shelter was full. I’m crate trained and I’m house trained too! I love to go on walks and I do well on a leash. I’ve been around toddlers and did very well if I say so myself. One of my favorite activities is to play with toys. My tail doesn’t stop wagging when I have a toy. I’m ready-made for a forever home. So click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Hansel, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $300.

** Adoption Pending ** Stella Louise

“Heart beats fast. Colors and promises – how to be brave? How can I love when I’m afraid to fall?” I’m Stella Louise and I’m a female,  black Schnauzer mix with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about eight years old and I weigh about sixty pounds. I was recently rescued from a shelter and am relaxing at my foster home. I’ve been around children without any problems. I’m good with other dogs both at the home and in public. I was very well behaved at the groomer and the vet. My foster mom is proud of me!. I’m a laid back kind of girl who is very easy going with a pleasant personality. Again, mom said so! I’m also house trained! I may be bigger than the typical Schnauzer…but I’ve got the skills to make you go wow! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Stella Louise, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $200.

** Adoption Pending ** Maxxy

“In case you didn’t know, baby I’m crazy ’bout you! And I would be lying if I said that I could live this life without you.” I’m Maxy, and I’m a male, parti-black & white Miniature Schnauzer with natural ears and a docked tail. I’m about two years old and I weigh about seventeen pounds. My owners were moving and for some reason, I couldn’t go with them. Not sure they were telling me the entire story….but I’m not sure I wanted to go anyway. I like SRT better. And I’m going to like you even more! I already can’t live without you! I’m a bit shy and a little nervous meeting new people at first…probably understandable. But it only takes me about ten seconds to become your best friend. I am excellent being groomed and even was fine getting my long nails trimmed. A little man-surgery soon and then I’m ready to be yours! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Maxy, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Cooper Cass

“The sun comes up, it’s a new day dawning! Whatever may pass and whatever lies before me, let me be singing when the evening comes!” I’m Cooper Cass and I’m a male, salt & pepper Schnauzer mix with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about two years old and I weigh about fourteen pounds. I love to sing  your praises (no, I’m not a barker) but at the moment, I’m a little timid meeting new people. But I warm up quickly and then I’ll sing you a tune…while I give you a little dog lick! I’m crate trained and, yep, I’m house trained too. I’m leash trained as well…so I’m ready to go on some nice walks. I enjoy a nice swim in the pool, so if you have a pool, you’ll need to watch me as I’ll be headed there to cool off.  I have the skills. I’m good with other dogs and love a romp around the yard. I love my toys and enjoy a good game of fetch. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Cooper Cass, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

** Adoption Pending ** Foxxy – A Puppy! (being fostered in San Antonio)

“Time is a valuable thing; Watch it fly by as the pendulum swings. Watch it count down to the end of the day”. Time IS valuable. And we’re wasting it while I’m here and you’re there! Let’s fix that! I’m Foxxy and I’m a female, tri-color Schnauzer mix with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about ten months old and I weigh about fourteen pounds. I am loving life in my foster home. What a difference compared to the shelter! I’m a very sweet girl and just a little bit timid. My foster family said they will update my bio very soon…but I’m a puppy…so it’s not too hard to figure out. I love to play, I love other dogs and I probably have some room for improvement on my basic skills. I’m a fast learner. A foxy learner! You don’t need to wait! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Foxxy, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

** Adoption Pending ** Lily Lulu

“Fill my heart with song and let me sing for ever more! You are all I long for, all I worship and adore!” Oh, I’d sure like that kind of forever home. I know how to worship an owner! I’m Lily Lulu, I’m a female, tri-color Schnauzer mix with natural ears and a docked tail. I’m about one year old and I weigh about seventeen pounds. I was rescued off the streets by a nice family who tried without success to find my owners. I guess I lost my collar, tags and microchip. What? You can’t lose a microchip? Well, that explains everything – I don’t think I want to go back! So let’s just focus on your forever home instead. I’m beautiful. I’m also crate trained and house trained too! I love walks and I’ve been doing really well with that whole leash thing.  I was also very good being groomed. I get along with other dogs too. I’m a calm girl for being so young and just love snuggling with my human. I’ve got the total package. Let me worship you! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Lily Lulu, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Peach

“But now the rains weep o’er his hall with no one there to hear. Yes, not the rains weep o’er his hall and not a soul to hear.” Yea, they’re going to miss me. They didn’t know it but I was a peach! SRT knew it. I’m Peach and I’m a black & white female schnauzer mix with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about four years old and I weigh about twenty-two pounds. I was rescued – just in the nick of time – from a local shelter. I am friendly to everyone I meet…both two-legged and four-legged friends alike! I had a haircut, could have been my first, and I was very good. My groomer gave me an A+. I do need a foster home so that they can verify that I am house trained. I am a good car rider and I walk nicely on a leash. I’m ready for my forever home. You don’t want to miss this peach! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Peach, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Bumper

“Something has changed within me; Something is not the same. It’s time to trust my instincts! It’s time to try defying gravity!” I’m Bumper and I’m a female, black Miniature Schnauzer with cropped ears and a docked tail. I’m about nine years old and weighs about fourteen pounds. I got the name Bumper because I have cataracts and have a little trouble getting around. It’s my version of defying gravity! Once I learn my way in a new place though, I’m pretty much good to go! My foster mom thinks I’m very sweet and adorable. I get along with other dogs and it is nice to have someone to show me the way. I’m good being bathed & groomed and I got an A+ from the vet on my behavior. I rarely bark unless you have a barker in the home. Then I’ll bark to support them. Yea, it’s what we do. Defying gravity is interesting but my perfect home would be one where I can cuddle on your lap! Your lap, no bumps! Perfect! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Bumper, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $200.

Linus

“When you’re lost where do you begin? Looking for the love that never came my way.” I’m thinking that, with your help, there could be two less lonely people (and a dog) in the world! I’m Linus and I’m a male, black Miniature Schnauzer with natural ears and a docked tail. I’m about six years old and I weigh about seventeen pounds. I’m a very friendly boy with everyone I meet. No sense being lonely if you can help it! I’m sweet with my human friends and I get along great with four-legged friends too! I haven’t been tested around children, but my SRT friends think I would be great with kids. I’m quiet – hardly say a word – and I’m crate trained and house trained too! Things weren’t always easy for me and I guess by now you’ve noticed my picture. Yes, I only have three legs. When I was rescued, I had a broken leg and because the injury was so old, they had to amputate my leg. Apparently, I didn’t need that leg because having just three hasn’t slowed me down at all! I’m hoping you see the bigger picture. Let’s make sure neither of us is lonely! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Linus, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $300.

Blake

“Never mind, I’ll find someone like you. Sometimes it lasts in love but sometimes it hurts instead.” I’ve experienced the hurt. Now I’d like to experience the kind of love that lasts! I’m Blake and I’m a male, white Schnauzer mix (with the mix part begin somewhat of a mystery) with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about four years old and I weigh twenty-six pounds. I love other dogs and I would really enjoy a companion. No companion? I’m flexible! I could just be your one and only! I’m good being bathed & groomed and I like riding in the car. I think I’d be great with kids but I haven’t been kid-tested yet. I am crate trained and house trained too. I also like walks and I do well on a leash. Once I’m in a foster home, SRT will update you on my other great qualities. You don’t need to wait for that. Just click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Blake, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Jaffie

“Go on now go! Walk out the door! Just turn around now, ’cause you’re not welcome anymore. I will survive!” That’s what I felt like saying to my last owners. Just go! I’ll survive…and I’ll survive in your loving forever home! I’m Jaffie and I’m a male, salt & pepper Miniature Schnauzer with natural ears and a docked tail. I’m about four years old and I weigh about thirteen pounds.  I was rescued from a shelter and am getting settled in with  my new friends at SRT. I survived! I’m a very sweet boy and my favorite place is cuddling in your lap or sleeping in the human bed. I’m not sure how I would do around small children, so for now, I should go to a home with children older than twelve. I would like to be your one and only as I don’t want to share you with another doggie. I only have two lower canine teeth. There’s some speculation that I was used for breeding and had all my teeth pulled. You see? They just had to go! I’m crate trained and house trained too. I like walks and do well on a leash. If you have some love (and maybe some soft food?!) then just click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Jaffie, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Layla

“Wouldn’t you think I’m the girl, the girl who has everything? Look at this trove, treasures untold. But who cares? I want more.” I’m not material. I want love! I want you! Then I’d have everything! I’m Layla and I’m a female, white Schnauzer mix (possibly with poodle) with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about seven years old and I weigh about twenty-one pounds. I was a little skittish at first meeting my foster mom, but I adjusted quickly. It was just a lot of moving around all at once. Once I started getting belly rubs, well, I knew this would be just fine!. I’m crate trained and I’m working hard on my house training skills. I hope to get my certificate soon! I’m also good on a leash…so let’s go walking! I should be good with gentle children and would probably like another playmate to keep me company while you are away. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Layla, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $300.

Hooper

I’m Hooper, I’m a male salt and pepper Miniature Schnauzer who isa bout seven months old and weighs fourteen pounds. I have natural ears and tail. My family just turned me into a shelter and I have no clue as to why. They told the shelter that I was good with children, like to play with a frisbee, am a social butterfly and love to be in your lap. I’m house and crate trained. My SRT friends think I would do best with older children though, because I still playbite. I know that isn’t good and with the right instruction, I will stop it. I’m not great on a leash either. I really like to pull when I want to get there faster than my human. I’m ready for my true forever family. One that won’t decide to give me up! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Hooper, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Oso – foster in New Braunfels

“I’ve chased all the good stuff, all the bad stuff; Stuff the world calls living, but that ain’t living! I know it all ends the same if you ain’t in it!” What would life be without you? I need you! I’m Oso, and I’m a male, black Schnauzer mix (maybe with a little giant mixed in) with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about one year old and I weigh about eighty-five pounds with natural ears and tail. I’m a good boy and my favorite place in the world is to be curled right up next to you! I like kids but I like them older. The little ones make me nervous; I’m a big guy and I never want to bowl someone over! I get along with other dogs as long as I’m the biggest in the room! I like the little guys and gals! So big kids but little dogs. That’s me! I’d also be fine in an all-adult home. I’m both house trained and leash trained. Interested? Then click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Oso, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

** Adoption Pending ** Pepsi (being fostered in Spicewood, TX)

“Everybody’s searching for it; Everybody’s reaching out; Trying to grab a hold of something real. You are the cure!” I need a cure for homelessness. I deserve a home. You’re the cure! I’m Pepsi and I’m a male, black & cream Schnauzer mix with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about one year old and I weigh about twenty-two pounds. I’m a super friendly dude and I seem to get along with everyone. Growing up in a loving home would be perfect for me…and perfect for you! I love giving kisses. I’m a good car rider too. I’m crate trained and working hard to put the finishing touches on my house training skills. I like to go on walks but I do pull on the leash a little….but that’s because there are so many interesting things to see. I like it when we pass other dogs. I like my other four-legged friends and I’m nice when we meet. I’m even good around cats. SRT will keep you posted as they learn more about me. But what more is needed? You’re the cure! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Pepsi, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

** Adoption Pending ** Choby

Will you be the one that makes me beloved! I’m Choby and I’m a male, white Miniature Schnauzer with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about three years old and I weigh about thirteen pounds. Where I came from, on the streets of Houston, ain’t no one being beloved down there! But some nice people rescued me and in stepped SRT. I’m feeling better already! I’m a really great guy and I’d make a good travel companion. I would just sit right by you on any kind of adventure! I’ve got a kind, gentle soul…and isn’t that the best kind of best friend? I’m like that with my other four-legged friends too. I’m a get along type!  I’m also crate trained and I’m house trained too. I love walks and I do great on a leash. I have a slight limp, probably from an old injury…but that doesn’t slow me down one bit! I know what you’re thinking…makes you wonder how I guy like me isn’t already in a home. Like I said…I wasn’t beloved! Change that! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Choby, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

But you’re never too old for a loving forever home! I’m Chewy and I’m a male, black Miniature Schnauzer with cropped ears and a docked tail. I’m about ten years old and I weigh about fourteen pounds.  I had a home once…but the problem wasn’t me. It was them! I’m a very sweet guy and I love my human friends. I’d be great with kids! I also like my four-legged friends. Treat a guy nice and you have my attention! I’m crate trained and I’m house trained too! Anna (being fostered in San Antonio)

“It’s easy to sing when there’s nothing to bring me down. But what will I say when I’m held to the flame like I am right now? I know you’re able and I know you can; Save through the fire with your mighty hand!” A mighty hand. A safe and happy home. Yes please – I’ll take both! I’m Ana and I’m a female, salt & pepper Miniature Schnauzer with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about four years old and I weigh about fourteen pounds. My pup is Naveen and he was just adopted. I’m a shy girl and I wasn’t made for life on the streets. I was made for laps. And kisses. And love! I’m super sweet and very quiet. I think I’ll love being around kids…well, the nice and gentle kids. Those that are like me! SRT is working on my coat to bring me back to my gorgeous self. I think cats will be OK too. I’m just pretty laid back in that regard. That demeanor will also make me good with kids who are gentle with me. Excited children might scare me at first. I’m house trained and crate trained too. In addition, I’m also good on a leash…so let’s get walking! Brandon – fostered in Kempner, TX

I’m Brandon, a  male, salt & pepper Miniature Schnauzer, 13 years old, 22 pounds with natural ears and tail. I may be nearly blind and a senior,  but it doesn’t slow me down. I quickly memorized my foster home and I can outwalk the hardiest walker. I love playing tug-of-war, going on long walks to be petted and loved on. I’m a great watchdog and have a good sense of hearing. I really don’t like young puppies who are annoying and always jumping around on me. I don’t mind dogs who are calm like me. I’m also fine with cats — they don’t bother me at all!  If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Brandon, as a dog of interest. Contact SRT for my adoption fee.

Bruiser

I’m Bruiser, a male, black and brown schnauzer mix, about 4 years old and 30 lbs with natural ears and tail. I’m feeling much better after recovering from that nasty ear infection. I’m a friendly boy who gets along with others, is good being bathed and groomed. My friends at SRT think I would be good with children as I’m so friendly. Toddlers may get knocked down, so a little older children would probably be best though.   Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Bruiser, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Boo

I’m Boo, a female, black and tan schnauzer/terrier mix less than a year old and weighing 30 lbs with natural ears and tail. I was rescued from a shelter in Corpus Christi and am now in Houston. I’m house and crate trained and believe I’ll be good around children as I am young, playful and sweet. I get along fine with other dogs and have been good with everyone I’ve met so far. I am quite the jumper, so will need a home with a secure fence. I’m also a little afraid of men–I’m sure I’ll get over it when I know I’ll be safe in their care. SRT will update my bio once they know more about me. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Boo, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Blacky – fostered in Temple, TX

I’m Blacky a male, black Miniature Schnauzer mix about seven years old, weighing about ten pounds with natural ears and tail. I’m the friendliest guy you would ever want to meet. I’m house and crate trained and would love to show off more of my talents, once I can get out of boarding. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Blacky, as a dog of interest. ** Adoption Pending ** Keaton

I’m Keaton, a male black with white miniature schnauzer mix, about 3 years old and weighing about 22 lbs with natural ears and tail. I had a few things that had to be taken care of when I came into rescue, but I’m feeling so so much better now. I love people and am so happy when someone comes by to say hello. I’m also good with other dogs and enjoy a good romp. I’m house, crate and leash trained and good being bathed and groomed. I’ve also been tested around children and did very well. I got an A. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Keaton, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400

Perry – fostered in Austin

I’m Perry, a male black and white miniature schnauzer mix (maybe some shihtzu) about 3 years old and about 8 lbs with natural ears and tail. The shelter was a terrifying place and I was so glad to get out of there alive. I’m a timid boy, so would do best in an all adult home as the little ones would probably scare me. I do fine with other dogs and cats too. I’m a quiet boy but I like to make ferocious noises when I’m playing tug-o-war. It takes me a little time to warm up to new people, but once I do, I’m friends with you for life. My favorite place is curled up in your lap and my tail never stops wagging. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Perry, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400

Hardy Boy

I’m Hardy Boy, a male black and white miniature schnauzer mix about 12 years old and I weigh about 27 lbs with natural ears and tail. My family surrendered me to a local kill shelter because they were moving to a place that didn’t allow pets. Wow, I thought they would have checked that out first before signing a lease. I was with them for 10 years and they told the folks at the shelter that I was house and crate trained and a highly social boy who loves everyone he meets–even cats. I’m good with children and love to play with another dog. With all of these good qualities, wouldn’t you love to adopt me. Click the  ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Hardy Boy, as a dog of interest! My adoption fee is $100.

El Chavo (fostered in Austin area)

I’m El Chavo a male black and tan miniature schnauzer mix about 4 years old and weigh about 26 lbs with natural ears and tail. I was found on a back road and taken in by some nice people. They took care of me while trying to find my owners. They never did and now I’m in need of a home. I’m a bit shy meeting new people. I have been tested around a baby and I was just fine. I like other dogs and am house trained. If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, El Chavo, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Frazier – fostered in Dallas area

I’m Frazier a male salt and pepper schnauzer, about 7 years old and weighing 35 lbs, with natural ears and tail. I’m house and crate trained and love my humans, both big and small. I love them so much, I want to protect them from any danger and become protective. I’m a good watch dog and will alert to any visitors. If interested in adopting me, click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Frazier, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $300.

Shelby Rue

I’m Shelby Rue, a female, black Schnauzer mix, 3 years old and 10 lbs. with  natural ears and tail. I’m a very sweet girl who loves people. I’ve heard about therapy dogs and I think I would be great at it because I love to be held and to stay right with my human.  I’m house and crate trained.  I really don’t need a companion animal , but I’m OK with another 4-legged friend. I was good with my bath and haircut too. If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Shelby Rue, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Boy Bear

“Oh, it doesn’t matter what they say in the papers, ’cause it’s always been the same old scene.  There’s a new band in town but you can’t get the sound from a story in a magazine;  Aimed at your average teen.  Everybody’s talkin’ ’bout the new sound, funny, but it’s still rock and roll to me!”  Times are a changing.  These young kids have a new word for just about everything…like it’s something really new.  But most things just stay the same. Kind of like a man and his dog.  That never goes out of style.  Companionship.  There’s just not other words that describe it!  I’m Boy Bear…if you say it fast, it sounds like Boyds Bear!  I’m a kidder.  I’m a male Miniature Schnauzer mix with natural ears and a docked tail.  I’m about eight years old and I weigh about fourteen pounds.  My previous owner died and, well, keeping up with a dog and his needs wasn’t easy in the end.  I like the human friends I’ve met but I would do better around older children. I’m generally fine with other dogs.  I am crate trained and I’m house trained too. I’ve got a lot of love I can share!  I just completed cataract surgery. One bad eye had to be removed but I’m like a new man with my other eye! I can see again. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Boy Bear, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $200.

Truman

“O Christmas tree! Not only in the summertime, but even in winter is they prime! O Christmas tree! How are they leaves so verdant!” It doesn’t matter to me if it’s summertime or wintertime – I’m always there as your affectionate, loyal friend. O Truman! My name is Truman and I’m a male, liver-parti Miniature Schnauzer with natural ears and a docked tail. I’m about eight years old and I weigh about ten pounds. I have a friendly, outgoing personality and I’ll just walk right up and greet anyone I see. I’ve got a great temperment and I think I’d be great with older kids.  I’m easy to handle and I do great on a leash! I’m crate trained and I’m house trained too! I’ve interacted with other four-legged friends and I do well playing with others. I’d love a home where we hang out and spend time together. I’ve missed that in a relationship! O forever home! I’ve just completed cataract surgery and I’m doing well. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Truman, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $200.

Parker

I’m Parker a male, black & brown Schnauzer mix, 3 years old, 18 pounds with natural ears and tail. I’m a happy guy who enjoys playing with other dogs, but I sometimes like to bully the smaller ones–in a nice way. I’m a little exuberant when meeting new people, so my foster mom thinks children who are 10 years and older would be best for me. I only have one eye, but that doesn’t slow me down at all. Most of all, I love being in your lap and getting that wonderful ear rub. If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Parker, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400

Mila

I’m Mila a female, black Schnauzer mix, about one year old  and weighing about 45 pounds with natural ears and tail. I’m house trained and good around children–even toddlers. I would prefer to be an only dog as I don’t like to share my toys or food with other dogs! I am learning to play with other dogs now and finding it isn’t so scary.  I’m good with grooming and bathing. Since I’m a mix, I don’t need to be groomed as often so less expense. That’s a good thing, right? If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Mila, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400

Jake….From State Farm!

“What are you wearing, Jake from State Farm?”  “Uh…khakis.”  Ha ha! I love that commercial. I wear black khakis! I’m Jake and I’m a male, black Schnauzer Mix with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about four years old and I weigh just ten pounds. I’m totally blind. I’m just going to get that one out there from the start. But, you might be surprised what all I can do! I’m a good and friendly boy. I play well with others but I like my space when it’s feeding time. When you can’t see who might be trying to sneak a bite of your food, you get a little protective of it! I like a few toys and sometimes I try to play with the other dogs with toys. I can’t say that I’m house trained but I’ve had very few accidents at my foster mom’s home. I do well once I navigate where the door is and when I’m taken out at regular intervals. Team approach! I’m not really big on the whole crate thing. I love being outside and enjoy the wind in my face. I do like walks but I’m going to need some help with that leash. Every walk is a new experience. Close your eyes when you walk…and you’ll see what I mean! If you have some patience and love, that’s all I need to be happy! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Jake – From State Farm, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Corbin (fostered in Dallas area)

I’m Corbin a male, tri-color schnauzer mix, 18 months old, 16 pounds with a natural tail and ears. I’m a little shy when meeting new people and will dance around wanting to meet you, but still a little hesitant. My tail never stops wagging though. I like other dogs and would do best with older children as I think the younger ones would scare me. I’m house and crate trained and I’m working on my leash training now. I love sitting on the couch next to my foster mom and giving her kisses. I also like to gather toys. Mom says I’m a love! If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Corbin, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

** Adoption Pending ** Thumper

I’m Thumper, a male, white Schnauzer/Poodle Mix, 10 years old, 21 pounds, with natural ears and docked tail. I’m great with other dogs, but I don’t really need a playmate. At my age, a ride in the car or laying in the sun on a nice day works just fine. I’m house trained and enjoy sitting next to you while you watch tv or just hang out. If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Thumper, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $100.

Homer – fostered in Loft, TX

I’m Homer, a male, black Miniature Schnauzer, 9 years old, 35 pounds with natural ears and a docked tail. My life hasn’t been that easy and so I’m glad I was rescued by SRT. I’ve put on 12 lbs since I was pulled from that shelter and am just right now. My coat was also in bad shape, but with the medicated baths and medication, it is coming back and I know it will be shiny again. I prefer an all adult home where I can spend my senior years relaxing. I’m good with grooming and my bath and enjoy feeling clean!  If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Homer, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $200.

Huey

“Grandma got run over by a reindeer, walking home from our house Christmas eve.” I didn’t get run over by a reindeer, I just had a little respiratory infection. But that’s behind me so let’s get on that sleigh together! I’m Huey and I’m a male, salt & pepper Schnauzer mix (likely a Schnoodle – part Poodle / part Schnauzer) with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about eight years old and I weigh about nineteen pounds. I’m leash trained and I’m also crate trained (but not a big fan of it to be honest). But I’m house trained too…so what’s the point?! I’m a good boy, pretty quiet, and I’m sweet and friendly…though a little timid at first. Once I see how you treat dogs and that I won’t be hurt, I’ll be your best pal! I’m not a real big fan of baths. Maybe I hadn’t had one in a while….I thought I was being attacked by aliens! I’ll keep you updated on my skills and personality. Don’t need to know more? Then click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Huey, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $200

Sabre

srt-sabre-m     srt-sabre-j     srt-sabre-l

“Sing choirs of angels, sing in exultation! Glory in the highest! Oh come let us adore him!” I’ve dreamed of being in a home where someone adores me. It’s the way a dog is supposed to live! I adore you and you adore me! I’m Sabre and I’m a male, white Miniature Schnauzer with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about ten years old and I weigh about twenty-two pounds. I’m a very sweet boy and friendly with my owners. I’m also a bit typical of an older gentleman…a little set in my ways! I don’t really like to be picked up. I don’t like people messing with my face. I do like being outside when it’s nice and I’ll bark to let you know that it’s time for me to come in. Not the other way around you see! The ideal family for me would be a senior couple that just wants a good boy who lets you know that he adores you! I’m leash trained and I do enjoy going for walks. I’m also crate trained and I’m house trained too. I have good manners you know! I’ve played with other dogs and I do fine with them. I can have a friend or not have a friend. Older gents can be a bit indifferent in that way! Look at this face. Look at the adoration! Pick me! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Sabre, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $100.

Lucky Lou

“Now I wait for a break in the silence ’cause it’s all that you left. Just me and these four walls again.” On my own. Hit by a car. Multiple broken bones and fractures and an internal injury too. You might think that it’s just too tall of an order. But SRT, like they always do, came to save the day! I’ve had my surgery and am looking for a forever home. I’m Lucky Lou – and I am lucky! I’m a male, black Shihtzu/poodle mix with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m just one year old and I weigh about eleven pounds. I have a wonderful, loving temperament and I’m really good at giving kisses! I love kids and I have experience. They get kisses too! I’m good with other dogs and I’m partial to small dogs or those just slightly bigger than me. I don’t do as well around big dogs. I bark at them like I’m the one in charge! I sleep in my crate all night! Unfortunately, the injuries from my meeting with the car have left me with permanent damage to some nerve endings and I’m a little incontinent.  I’m OK with a belly band and I sleep on a pad in my crate. I have such a sweet personality and I’m such a good boy. I just need that one home where my one issue isn’t a deal breaker. Maybe it’s you! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application an put me, Lucky Lou, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Jackson Joe

“You can do the impossible, because you have been through the unimaginable.” Christina Rasmussen. A guy my age, still trying to find that perfect home. I always had my son with me, but he’s recently passed. No one should outlive their children…it’s just not right. And it’s heartbreaking. But maybe I can find a home and live out my life in peace, knowing that I was loved. That’s why I’m looking to you! I’m Jackson Joe, people call me J J, and I’m a male, black & silver Schnauzer with natural ears and a docked tail. I’m 14 years old and I weigh about 17 pounds. Given my age, I’d probably be best in an all-adult home. I’d love it if someone were around during the day. I’d sure like some company…and not just at night. I get along with other dogs at playtime but inside my home, I’m an only dog kind of guy. I need to be your only four-legged friend. I’ve got good house skills…I’m crate trained and I’m house trained too! I still like walks and I’m good on a leash. There are many pluses to being mature! I’m just a sweet guy whose friendly and needs a little love in his life. That’s where you come in! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Jackson Joe, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $50.
