Kinsington – a puppy – fostered in the Dallas area

I’m Kinsington, I’m a female cream colored Miniature Schnauzer mix who is six months old and weighs twenty-four pounds. I am a playful puppy and enjoy playing with my boxer friend. I have no food aggression and am submissive to other dogs. I also have a toddler who I love very much. I haven’t been around cats, so don’t know anything about them. I am house and crate trained but haven’t spent much time walking on a leash. I know that I’ll learn it fast though.  I’ve been to the vet lots of times for my shots and and get an A rating from them. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Kinsington, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Mason

Mason - 2     Mason - Adopt     Mason - 1

I’m Mason and I’m a male, white Miniature Schnauzer with natural ears and a docked tail.  I’m about four years old and I weigh about eighteen pounds.  Perfect size.  Not too big, not too small! I lost my home due to Harvey and my pal Zena and I are looking for new homes.  We’d like to stay together if we can, but if there’s another dog, that will work too.  I also love all the other dogs that I’ve met.  We’re having such a good time together.  I’m not good around children as I’m a bit nervous and not sure what they are going to do. So a home without children is best.  I’m relatively quiet and I enjoy riding in the car.  On the go. Keep it moving.  I like to stay active!  I’m crate trained and I’m completely house trained too.  To get this handsome face in your home, all you have to do is click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Mason, as a dog of interest.  My adoption fee is $400.

Gigi

I’m Gigi, I’m a female black and silver Miniature Schnauzer who is about eighteen months old and weighs twenty pounds. I have natural ears and tail. My family took me to a shelter because they work all day and thought I needed more attention. Well honestly, I do love to play with other dogs and it was kind of boring at their place. Now I have foster brothers and we’re having a grand time playing. I’m a good car rider and good being groomed. I think I would do fine around children as I love everyone I meet. I’m house, crate and leash trained although I have to admit, the I do pull on the leash because there are so many interesting things to see. I’m the total package! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Gigi, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Adele – fostered in San Antonio

I’m Adele, a female black shih tzu who is about eighteen months old and weighs ten pounds. My family decided I was too much to take care of and gave me up. It’s a good thing as I am now able to walk since I have been groomed and bathed. I feel so much better as I could barely walk because of the horrible mats. I was good being groomed because I know they were helping me. I haven’t been around children and even though I am very sweet, I think I would do better with older children as I’m a bit timid.  I’m a little afraid of the other dogs in my foster home, but we are getting along fine.  Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Adele, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Keats

I’m Keats, I’m a male, salt & pepper Miniature Schnauzer  mix who is about a year old and weighs about thirteen pounds. I have natural ears and tail. I was found on the streets and rescued and no one has been able to find my former family. I had a haircut and was very brave even though those clippers scared me around my head. I’m good with other dogs and good being handled and picked up. I’d probably be fine around children, but haven’t been tested yet. Walking on a leash is a little new to me, but I know I’ll catch on quickly.  I’m new to SRT so they will update my bio once I’m in a foster home and they learn more about me.  Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Keats,   as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Chispa – a puppy

I’m Chispa, I’m a male, blonde terrier mix  who is about four months old and weighs about five pounds. I have natural ears and tail. I’m with my foster family now and am learning about house, crate and leash training. I’m a friendly guy who is a total lap dog. I get along great with other dogs but am learning very quickly to “rule the roost”. Not sure what that means, but it sounds good to me. I get along well with children, but I do jump up. I’m a very friendly, playful pup who is a bundle of energy. I bond quickly with people and would like my forever home. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Chispa, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Harvey James

I’m Harvey James, I’m a male, white Miniature Schnauzer who is about two years old and weighs about eighteen pounds. I have natural ears and tail. I was found on the streets and rescued by a good samaritan. I was so matted no one knew I was a beautiful schnauzer under all of that dirt and mats. I’ll be very handsome when my furnishings grow back. I’m good with other dogs and good being bathed. I was a little afraid of the clippers as you can imagine as I had never had a hair cut before. But I was brave and we got through it. I’m new to SRT so they will update my bio once I’m in a foster home and they learn more about me.  Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Harvey James, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Scully – fostered in San Antonio

I’m Scully, I’m a female, black Miniature Schnauzer mix who is about six months old and weighs about six pounds. I have natural ears and tail. I’m with my foster family now and am learning about house, crate and leash training and am so close to getting my certificates. I love to play with both cats and dogs and think my best home would have another pet so we can chase each other.  I love my toys but I share with my friends. I also love to give kisses. I’ve been around small children and do very well. My foster mom wants you to know that I don’t shed. Don’t know why that’s important with all this other good stuff about me. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Scully, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Toad – a puppy

I’m Toad, a female black and white Miniature Schnauzer mix with probably some poodle mixed in. I’m three months old and weigh about six pounds with natural ears and tail. I have no idea why they gave me a name like Toad since I’m such a lovable little girl. I’m ready for my forever home and would love someone who is home a lot who can spend lots of time with me. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Toad, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Hansel

“Tell me you love me, come back and haunt me! Running in circles, chasing our tails. Coming back as we are.” I’m Hansel and I’m a male, black Schnauzer mix with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about five years old and I weigh about thirty-two pounds. My owner got sick and had to go into a nursing home. Since no one in the family could take me in, I ended up in a shelter. Luckily, SRT came and picked me up as the shelter was full. I’m crate trained and I’m house trained too! I love to go on walks and I do well on a leash. I would do best in a home with children over twelve or an all adult home. One of my favorite activities is to play with toys. My tail doesn’t stop wagging when I have a toy. I’m ready-made for a forever home. So click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Hansel, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $300.

Beau – fostered in Buda area

I’m Beau, I’m a male, salt and pepper Miniature Schnauzer who is about eight years old and weighs about sixteen pounds. I have natural ears and a docked tail. My family had babies and felt I would not be good around them, so they contacted SRT to help. I’m in a great foster home who doesn’t have children. They think I would do well with children who are over eight years old. I get alone fine with other dogs and am good being bathed and groomed. Some of my favorite activities are cuddling with you and helping my foster dad drive. I enjoy playing and relaxing with you. My foster dad thinks I’m very easy going and happy go lucky. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Beau, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $200.

** Adoption Pending ** Harvey – fostered in San Antonio

I’m Harvey, I’m a male, salt and pepper Miniature Schnauzer who is about seven years old and weighs about nineteen pounds. I have natural ears and a docked tail. I was found on the streets and rescued by a good samaritan who wasn’t able to find my family. They contacted SRT and now I’m in a great foster home. I was extremely matted, so it took awhile to get all of those mats off of me. They had to even shave off my beard as it was down to the skin. I’ll be very handsome when my furnishings grow back. I’m good with other dogs and even cats. I think I would do best in a home with children older than ten. The vets reported that I was extremely cooperative and well behaved. I’m a little shy at first, but am curious and love being with my foster family. I get to follow them everywhere. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Harvey, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $300.

Milton – a puppy

I’m Milton, I’m a male, black Miniature Schnauzer mix who is about nine weeks old and weighs about five pounds. I have natural ears and tail. I was just rescued from a shelter and am having lots of fun at my foster home. I love kids and am submissive with the other dogs. Since I’m a puppy, I love to play and cuddle of course. I would love a home with another playmate, but I also like snuggling with my older four-legged pal. My foster mom is helping me to get house trained and I’ve learned the dog door and I’m almost ready for my house training certificate. She’s also trying to teach me how to work the PC, but I found that quite boring and fell asleep. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Milton, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

I’m Kiki, an apricot female poodle with possibly something else mixed in. I’m about four years old and weighs about eleven pounds. I have natural ears and a natural tail. My former family had some financial issues and were unable to take care of me any longer so they turned to SRT for help.  I’m a total cuddle bug and love to sit with you. I’m a good car rider and excellent being bathed and groomed. I’m ready for my forever home. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Kiki, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

I know she is going to stop all those treats and get me into shape! I’m a total cuddle bug and love to sit with you. I am a bit shy at first and rowdy children will scare me, so I’d prefer a quiet home where we can just hang out together.  I’m completely house and crate trained. Although I am fine with other dogs, I really don’t need a companion animal. I’m a good car rider and excellent being bathed and groomed–even my nails. I’m ready for my forever home. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Peny, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $200.

I love to gather my toys and keep them around me. Although I am fine with other dogs, I really don’t need a companion animal. I love to cuddle on your lap and hang out with you. I’m a good car rider and excellent being bathed and groomed. I’m ready for my forever home. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Zoe, as a dog of interest. I have natural ears and tail. My early life wasn’t great and because of that I’m fearful of strangers. I tend to bark at all new people. I do enjoy playing with other dogs though. My foster mom has a six year old granddaughter and we get along great. I tend to be protective of her and my foster mom who gives me belly rubs and lets me sleep in the big bed. I’m much less fearful than when first rescued out of that shelter and I’m learning to trust people again.  Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Sebastian, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

I’m about eight years old and I weigh about sixty pounds. I was recently rescued from a shelter and am relaxing at my foster home. I’ve been around children without any problems. Cooper Cass

“The sun comes up, it’s a new day dawning! Whatever may pass and whatever lies before me, let me be singing when the evening comes!” I’m Cooper Cass and I’m a male, salt & pepper Schnauzer mix with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about two years old and I weigh about fourteen pounds. I love to sing  your praises (no, I’m not a barker) but at the moment, I’m a little timid meeting new people. But I warm up quickly and then I’ll sing you a tune…while I give you a little dog lick! I’m crate trained and, yep, I’m house trained too. I’m leash trained as well…so I’m ready to go on some nice walks. I enjoy a nice swim in the pool, so if you have a pool, you’ll need to watch me as I’ll be headed there to cool off.  I have the skills. I’m good with other dogs and love a romp around the yard. I love my toys and enjoy a good game of fetch. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Cooper Cass, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Peach

“But now the rains weep o’er his hall with no one there to hear. Yes, not the rains weep o’er his hall and not a soul to hear.” Yea, they’re going to miss me. They didn’t know it but I was a peach! SRT knew it. I’m Peach and I’m a black & white female schnauzer mix with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about four years old and I weigh about twenty-two pounds. I was rescued – just in the nick of time – from a local shelter. I am friendly to everyone I meet…both two-legged and four-legged friends alike! I had a haircut, could have been my first, and I was very good. My groomer gave me an A+. I do need a foster home so that they can verify that I am house trained. I am a good car rider and I walk nicely on a leash. I’m ready for my forever home. You don’t want to miss this peach! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Peach, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Bumper

“Something has changed within me; Something is not the same. It’s time to trust my instincts! It’s time to try defying gravity!” I’m Bumper and I’m a female, black Miniature Schnauzer with cropped ears and a docked tail. I’m about nine years old and weighs about fourteen pounds. I got the name Bumper because I had cataracts and had a little trouble getting around. But SRT took me to an opthamologist and I had cataract surgery and can see! I love playing with my toys. My foster mom thinks I’m very sweet and adorable. I get along with other dogs and it is nice to have someone to show me the way. I’m good being bathed & groomed and I got an A+ from the vet on my behavior. I rarely bark unless you have a barker in the home. Then I’ll bark to support them. Yea, it’s what we do. Defying gravity is interesting but my perfect home would be one where I can cuddle on your lap! Your lap, no bumps! Perfect! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Bumper, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $200.

Oso – fostered in New Braunfels

I’m about one year old and I weigh about eighty-five pounds with natural ears and tail. I’m a good boy and my favorite place in the world is to be curled right up next to you! I like kids but I like them older. The little ones make me nervous; I’m a big guy and I never want to bowl someone over! I get along with other dogs as long as I’m the biggest in the room! I like the little guys and gals! So big kids but little dogs. That’s me! I’d also be fine in an all-adult home. I’m both house trained and leash trained. Interested? I’m Brandon, a  male, salt & pepper Miniature Schnauzer, 13 years old, 22 pounds with natural ears and tail. I may be nearly blind and a senior,  but it doesn’t slow me down. I quickly memorized my foster home and I can outwalk the hardiest walker. I love playing tug-of-war, going on long walks to be petted and loved on. I’m a great watchdog and have a good sense of hearing. I really don’t like young puppies who are annoying and always jumping around on me. I don’t mind dogs who are calm like me. I’m also fine with cats — they don’t bother me at all!  If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Brandon, as a dog of interest. Contact SRT for my adoption fee.

Perry – fostered in Austin

I’m Perry, a male black and white miniature schnauzer mix (maybe some shihtzu) about 3 years old and about 8 lbs with natural ears and tail. The shelter was a terrifying place and I was so glad to get out of there alive. I’m a timid boy, so would do best in an all adult home as the little ones would probably scare me. I do fine with other dogs and cats too. I’m a quiet boy but I like to make ferocious noises when I’m playing tug-o-war. It takes me a little time to warm up to new people, but once I do, I’m friends with you for life. My favorite place is curled up in your lap and my tail never stops wagging. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Perry, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400

Boy Bear

IMG_1786 (1)     IMG_1780 (1)     IMG_1773 (1)

“Oh, it doesn’t matter what they say in the papers, ’cause it’s always been the same old scene.  There’s a new band in town but you can’t get the sound from a story in a magazine;  Aimed at your average teen.  Everybody’s talkin’ ’bout the new sound, funny, but it’s still rock and roll to me!”  Times are a changing.  These young kids have a new word for just about everything…like it’s something really new.  But most things just stay the same. Kind of like a man and his dog.  That never goes out of style.  Companionship.  There’s just not other words that describe it!  I’m Boy Bear…if you say it fast, it sounds like Boyds Bear!  I’m a kidder.  I’m a male Miniature Schnauzer mix with natural ears and a docked tail.  I’m about eight years old and I weigh about fourteen pounds.  My previous owner died and, well, keeping up with a dog and his needs wasn’t easy in the end.  I like the human friends I’ve met but I would do better around older children. I’m generally fine with other dogs.  I am crate trained and I’m house trained too. I’ve got a lot of love I can share!  I just completed cataract surgery. One bad eye had to be removed but I’m like a new man with my other eye! I can see again. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Boy Bear, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $200.

Jake….From State Farm!

“What are you wearing, Jake from State Farm?”  “Uh…khakis.”  Ha ha! I love that commercial. I wear black khakis! I’m Jake and I’m a male, black Schnauzer Mix with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about four years old and I weigh just ten pounds. I’m totally blind. I’m just going to get that one out there from the start. But, you might be surprised what all I can do! I’m a good and friendly boy. I play well with others but I like my space when it’s feeding time. When you can’t see who might be trying to sneak a bite of your food, you get a little protective of it! I like a few toys and sometimes I try to play with the other dogs with toys. I can’t say that I’m house trained but I’ve had very few accidents at my foster mom’s home. I do well once I navigate where the door is and when I’m taken out at regular intervals. Team approach! I’m not really big on the whole crate thing. I love being outside and enjoy the wind in my face. I do like walks but I’m going to need some help with that leash. Every walk is a new experience. Close your eyes when you walk…and you’ll see what I mean! If you have some patience and love, that’s all I need to be happy! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Jake – From State Farm, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Homer – fostered in Loft, TX

I’m Homer, a male, black Miniature Schnauzer, 9 years old, 35 pounds with natural ears and a docked tail. My life hasn’t been that easy and so I’m glad I was rescued by SRT. I’ve put on 12 lbs since I was pulled from that shelter and am just right now. My coat was also in bad shape, but with the medicated baths and medication, it is coming back and I know it will be shiny again. I prefer an all adult home where I can spend my senior years relaxing. I’m good with grooming and my bath and enjoy feeling clean!  If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Homer, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $200.

Huey

“Grandma got run over by a reindeer, walking home from our house Christmas eve.” I didn’t get run over by a reindeer, I just had a little respiratory infection. But that’s behind me so let’s get on that sleigh together! I’m Huey and I’m a male, salt & pepper Schnauzer mix (likely a Schnoodle – part Poodle / part Schnauzer) with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about eight years old and I weigh about nineteen pounds. I’m leash trained and I’m also crate trained (but not a big fan of it to be honest). But I’m house trained too…so what’s the point?! I’m a good boy, pretty quiet, and I’m sweet and friendly…though a little timid at first. Once I see how you treat dogs and that I won’t be hurt, I’ll be your best pal! I’m not a real big fan of baths. Maybe I hadn’t had one in a while….I thought I was being attacked by aliens! I’ll keep you updated on my skills and personality. Don’t need to know more? Then click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Huey, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $200

Sabre – fostered in Kempner

“Sing choirs of angels, sing in exultation! Glory in the highest! Oh come let us adore him!” I’ve dreamed of being in a home where someone adores me. It’s the way a dog is supposed to live! I adore you and you adore me! I’m Sabre and I’m a male, white Miniature Schnauzer with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about ten years old and I weigh about twenty-two pounds. I’m a very sweet boy and friendly with my owners. I’m also a bit typical of an older gentleman…a little set in my ways! I don’t really like to be picked up. I don’t like people messing with my face. I do like being outside when it’s nice and I’ll bark to let you know that it’s time for me to come in. Not the other way around you see! The ideal family for me would be a senior couple that just wants a good boy who lets you know that he adores you! I’m leash trained and I do enjoy going for walks. I’m also crate trained and I’m house trained too. I have good manners you know! I’ve played with other dogs and I do fine with them. I can have a friend or not have a friend. Older gents can be a bit indifferent in that way! Look at this face. Look at the adoration! Pick me! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Sabre, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $100.

Lucky Lou

“Now I wait for a break in the silence ’cause it’s all that you left. Just me and these four walls again.” On my own. Hit by a car. Multiple broken bones and fractures and an internal injury too. You might think that it’s just too tall of an order. But SRT, like they always do, came to save the day! I’ve had my surgery and am looking for a forever home. I’m Lucky Lou – and I am lucky! I’m a male, black Shihtzu/poodle mix with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m just one year old and I weigh about eleven pounds. I have a wonderful, loving temperament and I’m really good at giving kisses! I love kids and I have experience. They get kisses too! I’m good with other dogs and I’m partial to small dogs or those just slightly bigger than me. I don’t do as well around big dogs. I bark at them like I’m the one in charge! I sleep in my crate all night! Unfortunately, the injuries from my meeting with the car have left me with permanent damage to some nerve endings and I’m a little incontinent.  I’m OK with a belly band and I sleep on a pad in my crate. I have such a sweet personality and I’m such a good boy. I just need that one home where my one issue isn’t a deal breaker. Maybe it’s you! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application an put me, Lucky Lou, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

I’m Zena, I’m a female white Miniature Schnauzer who is about two years old and weighs about eighteen pounds with natural ears and tail. My house was flooded in the Harvey storm and Mason and I have been staying with other family members, but unfortunately they can’t keep us. My dad is moving out of state and said he can’t take us with him. Makes me so sad. I am a sweet, playful girl and like to play with another dog and also to cuddle with you. I am house trained and ready for my new home. These are some older pictures of me, but updated ones will be on here soon.  Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Zena, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Miller

“You’re one step away from surrender; One step away from coming home and one step from arms wide open! You’re not alone – you’re one step away!” One more step – that’s all I needed. And when I saw it’s all I need! And it’s the step on the door front of your loving forever home! I’m Miller and I’m a male, salt & pepper Miniature Schnauzer with natural ears and a long docked tail. I’m about five years old and I weigh about seventeen pounds. I’m a good boy. And a good looking boy too I might add! I’m glad that I’ve got folks paying attention to me and helping me look and feel my best! I’m a very friendly and easy going kind of guy. I love my human friends, but I need a home without young children. They make me very nervous. I’m actually a lady’s man and my perfect home would be with a lady.  I like walks and I’m good on a leash. I’m crate trained and house trained.  Overall, I’m just a happy go lucky sort. And I’d like to take that loving personality right into your forever home! Let’s take the first step! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Miller, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $300.

Jackson Joe

“You can do the impossible, because you have been through the unimaginable.” Christina Rasmussen. A guy my age, still trying to find that perfect home. I always had my son with me, but he’s recently passed. No one should outlive their children…it’s just not right. And it’s heartbreaking. But maybe I can find a home and live out my life in peace, knowing that I was loved. That’s why I’m looking to you! I’m Jackson Joe, people call me J J, and I’m a male, black & silver Schnauzer with natural ears and a docked tail. I’m 14 years old and I weigh about 17 pounds. Given my age, I’d probably be best in an all-adult home. I’d love it if someone were around during the day. I’d sure like some company…and not just at night. I get along with other dogs at playtime but inside my home, I’m an only dog kind of guy. I need to be your only four-legged friend. I’ve got good house skills…I’m crate trained and I’m house trained too! I still like walks and I’m good on a leash. There are many pluses to being mature! I’m just a sweet guy whose friendly and needs a little love in his life. That’s where you come in! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Jackson Joe, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $50.
