Wily (Houston, TX)

At just 6 months old and 6.8 pounds, Wily may be tiny, but his personality is anything but! Just a few days ago, Wily was one big walking mat of hair. After his first spa day, he stole everyone’s heart by sitting like a perfect gentleman through his grooming. What a transformation! Now that he can see the world, Wily is making up for lost time. Wily is a happy, energetic little guy who loves toys, zoomies, exploring the backyard, and making new dog friends. Every day is a new adventure! Wily gets along wonderfully with other dogs, so a home with a playful canine companion would be a bonus. Most of all, he needs a family ready to embrace all the fun, laughter, and love that come with an active young puppy. Wily will be neutered on July 20 and will be ready for his forever home shortly afterward. Don’t wait, applications are being accepted now! This little guy is sure to bring endless smiles and keep his new family entertained for years to come. Could Wily be the missing piece of your family? Ask for Wily when you complete your application under the Adopt tab. Adoption fee $600

Fenway (Lake Charles, LA)

Fenway was traveling the rough streets of Houston until a Good Samaritan saved him from being hit by a car at a very busy intersection. He was not traveling with his papers, or collar and tag, and did not have a microchip. So far, his foster knows he is kid-friendly, even with toddlers, and loves to play with other pups. While he was initially good with the cat, he’s decided it is just so much fun to chase them. Unfortunately, the cat doesn’t agree that it’s fun. He has a playful, loving personality. Ask for Fenway when you complete your application under the Adopt tab. Adoption fee $400

Paloma & Pablo Pete (Houston, TX)

Meet Paloma & Pablo – Twice the Love, Twice the Fun! 🐾

Some siblings are simply meant to stay together, and Paloma and Pablo are one of those special pairs. Paloma, whose name means “dove” and symbolizes peace, is a beautiful the white pup with a gentle heart and endless affection. Her brother, Pablo, means “small” and “humble,” and while he may be little, his personality is larger than life! His tan-and-white coat, oversized ears, and perpetual smile make him impossible not to love. Together, they are the perfect balance—peace and playfulness, sweetness and silliness. At just 6 months old, these two are inseparable. They’re happiest when they’re together, whether they’re racing through the backyard via the dog door in full-speed zoomie mode, playing an endless game of chase, or stealing toys from each other just to start another round of fun. (Don’t worry—they always give them back… eventually!) When playtime is over, their favorite place is wherever you are. They adore people and are happiest curled up nearby after a busy day of adventures. Their perfect home is a family willing to continue teaching them all about being wonderful house dogs. Like most puppies, they’re still working on their potty training and will need consistent bathroom breaks.  They aren’t fans of being kenneled, but since they are still puppies, they can’t have free run of the house. They are not recommended for apartment living, as they may annoy the neighbors. These 2 are  special because they share a bond that’s impossible to miss. They look for each other first thing in the morning, play together all day, nap side-by-side, and find comfort simply knowing the other is nearby. They’ve already found their best friend in each other. Now they’re hoping to find the family they’ll love together for the rest of their lives. If you’re looking for one puppy, keep scrolling. But if you’ve ever dreamed of double the laughter, double the cuddles, and double the unconditional love, then Paloma and Pablo may just be your perfect match. After all… peace is even sweeter when you have someone to share it with. sk for Paloma and Pablo when you complete your application under the Adopt tab. Adoption fee $400 each

Macy Gray (Spring, TX)

Introducing Macy Gray, a 7-year-old, 11 lb Miniature Schnoodle who recently arrived to SRT. Her owner became very ill and wasn’t able to care for her any longer. What we know so far is that she’s good around other pups and being groomed and bathed. She absolutely loves to be with her human and in their lap is her happy place. Her house training is being evaluated. She is good in her crate at night though and keeps it nice and clean. As more is learned, her bio will be updated. Ask for Macy Gray as a pup of interest. Adoption fee $300

Hogkins (Spring, TX)

Hogkins is a handsome 7-year-old, 11-pound chocolate Miniature Schnauzer with the sweetest personality. This adorable little guy was found as a stray with no tags, no microchip, and no one searching for him. When he arrived, his skin and coat were in rough shape, but with a bath, good nutrition, and plenty of love, he’s already on the road to becoming the gorgeous boy he was always meant to be. His foster family can’t say enough wonderful things about him. Hogkins is affectionate, playful, and loves everyone he meets. He happily trots up to strangers for pets, snuggles in laps, plays well with other dogs, and is both potty and crate-trained. During the day, he’s especially devoted to his foster’s son, following him around and soaking up every bit of attention. Hogkins does have one little quirk. At night, he can become fearful around adult men. During the daytime, however, he has no issues at all and is happy to seek out affection from everyone. We don’t know what may have happened in his past to cause this nighttime fear, but with patience and understanding, he’s shown what a loving, trusting little companion he truly is. If you’re looking for a loyal cuddle buddy with a heart full of love, Hogkins may be the perfect addition to your family. Ask for Hogkins as your Pup of Interest when you complete your application under the Adopt tab. Adoption Fee: $300

Kaycee (Houston, TX)

Meet Kaycee, a sweet 8-year-old, 15-pound schnauzer mix with a heart full of resilience! Kaycee’s journey hasn’t been easy—her family surrendered her to a shelter after she got hurt jumping off their deck. They were sadly considering euthanasia because she couldn’t stand. But after a thorough vet check, we’re happy to share that Kaycee has no broken bones and is now up and walking just fine!  Following this hopeful news, SRT was contacted to help this brave girl find the loving care she deserves. Kaycee is a calm and gentle soul who gets along well with other dogs and enjoys a peaceful, low-key lifestyle. She’s a pro at grooming and bath time, and rides quietly in the car like a champ. Kaycee appears to be house and crate-trained, making her an easy addition to any home.  She is nervous around toddlers, so an all-adult home would be best for her. If you think you could be the special person to open your heart and home to Kaycee, be sure to ask for her when you complete your application under the Adopt tab. Let’s help Kaycee start the next beautiful chapter of her life! Her adoption fee is $300.

Kobi (Houston, TX)

Meet Kobi,  a 3-year-old, 16 lb. male Miniature Schnauzer who came from a hoarding situation in Houston when 80 dogs were pulled from one home. Kobi is dealing with some non-contagious skin issues and is currently being treated. He will need  a foster home that can show him what it is like to live in a normal home and get the love and attention he deserves. If you can help this boy and are an approved foster, contact SRT@SchnauzerRescueTexas.me or apply under the Adopt tab.

Pretty Lady (Houston, TX)

Meet Pretty Lady, a gentle 2-year-old sweetheart weighing 38 pounds who’s ready to find her forever home! Sadly, when her owner moved, they left her behind—but thanks to some kind-hearted Good Samaritans who fed her and reached out to us, SRT was able to rescue this amazing girl from the streets. Pretty Lady had a rough start, arriving with severe matting that required a full shave-down. But she handled her grooming session like a champ—calm, patient, and absolutely perfect during her bath and on the grooming table. At the vet, she was just as well-behaved, showing off her sweet and cooperative nature. This lovely lady has met several new pups and even a cat, all without a hint of drama—she’s truly a social butterfly! She seems to be house-trained and is overflowing with love and kindness. The only little quirk? She gets car sick, so car rides aren’t her favorite. But beyond that, she’s simply perfect. Pretty Lady is searching for a forever family who will cherish her and never leave her behind again. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to this incredible girl, be sure to ask for Pretty Lady when you complete your application under the Adopt tab.  Adoption fee $400

Stella Bella (Sugarland, TX)

If you’re looking for a devoted companion who will shower you with love, Stella Bella is ready to steal your heart! This beautiful 8-year-old white Miniature Schnauzer weighs just 13 pounds and was surrendered when her owner could no longer care for her. Despite the changes in her life, Stella Bella remains a happy, affectionate little girl who is eager to bond with her new family. Stella Bella is the definition of a “velcro dog.” She loves giving kisses and wants to be wherever her person is—whether that’s curled up beside you on the couch, sharing your favorite chair, or snuggled up in bed at night. If you’ve been hoping for a loyal best friend who will be your constant companion, Stella Bella is your girl. She gets along well with other dogs but prefers not to share her toys. This smart little lady knows what belongs to her and isn’t shy about protecting her treasures! She’s also house-trained and uses a dog door like a pro. Stella Bella has so much love left to give and is ready to spend her golden years in a home where she’ll be cherished as a beloved family member. Think Stella Bella might be the perfect fit for your family? Complete an application under the Adopt tab and be sure to ask for Stella Bella. She can’t wait to meet you! Adoption fee is $300

Woofer (Houston, TX)

At just 9 pounds, Woofer is a pint-sized bundle of charm looking for a second chance. This adorable 7-year-old Miniature Poodle mix found himself surrendered to a crowded shelter, but he hasn’t let that dim his happy spirit. Woofer is a friendly little guy who gets along well with other dogs and loves being around people. During his grooming session, he kept himself entertained by watching the other pups and wagging his tail nonstop. His cheerful personality is hard to resist! This sweet boy enjoys staying close to his human and thrives on companionship. Because he becomes vocal when left alone, he would do best in a home rather than an apartment setting. If you’re looking for a loyal shadow who wants to be part of your daily life, Woofer may be the perfect match. Woofer is currently seeking a foster home while he completes his veterinary care, which is scheduled by the end of June. He will be neutered and receive a dental cleaning, leaving him with a healthy smile and sparkling white teeth. We are also continuing to evaluate his house-training progress. Could Woofer be the companion you’ve been searching for? Click the Adopt tab and ask for Woofer! Adoption Fee: $300

Jeremy (The Woodlands, TX)

Meet Jeremy 💛

Jeremy is an approximately 11-year-old Miniature Schnauzer who was found collapsed in a greenbelt, severely matted and malnourished. After no owners could be located, rescue stepped in to give this sweet senior a second chance. Jeremy has since received veterinary care, a dental cleaning, and a cardiology evaluation. Today, he’s healthy enough to focus on what matters most: learning that the world can be a safe place again. Jeremy is a gentle, sensitive soul who takes time to trust. A calm, patient, adult-only home will help him continue building confidence and settle in at his own pace. The wonderful news is that Jeremy has been making remarkable progress in foster care. In just a few weeks, he has gone from hiding in his bed most of the day to exploring the house, playing with toys, following his foster mom around, mastering the stairs, and confidently moving in and out through the sliding glass door. He’s even started joining the resident dog in neighborhood watch duties and reconnecting with his inner Schnauzer. 😄Jeremy is also good with other dogs, house-trained, and walks beautifully on a leash. While Jeremy still needs patience and understanding, we’re seeing more of his sweet, playful personality every day. For the right person, helping him continue this journey will be incredibly rewarding. If you think Jeremy might be the perfect addition to your family, ask for Jeremy when you complete your application under the Adopt tab. Adoption fee $200

Linden is a beautiful 2-year-old, 27-pound Schnauzer wannabe who recently got her second chance after being rescued from a shelter. Now all she needs is a loving foster home while Schnauzer Rescue Texas searches for the perfect forever family. This happy girl has already impressed her foster with her sweet, easygoing personality. She’s playful and gets along well with other dogs, enjoys car rides, and was a star during her bath and grooming. Linden has been quiet and well-mannered in her crate, leading us to believe she’s already crate-trained. She appears to be both house and crate-trained. As Linden settles into foster care, we’ll continue learning more about her unique personality and update her bio along the way. We have a feeling this lovable girl is going to steal a lot of hearts! If you think Linden could be the missing piece of your family, ask for Linden as your Pup of Interest when you complete your application under the Adopt tab. Adoption Fee: $400

Nessie (Houston, TX)

Meet Little Nessie — a tiny survivor with a huge heart.

Nessie was found wandering the streets of Houston during bitterly cold weather, and a kind Good Samaritan stepped in just in time to save her. This brave little girl is about eight years old and now weighs a healthy nine pounds after lots of good meals and love in foster care. Nessie appears to have a little schnauzer in her mix and has recovered beautifully after having a non-cancerous mass removed. She is now healthy, happy, and ready for her forever home. She gets along well with other dogs, enjoys playing with toys, and even has a playful puppy friend in foster care. However, Nessie would likely love being the center of attention where she can soak up all the cuddles she deserves. Nessie is house-trained, knows how to use a doggy door, and loves curling up in her foster mom’s lap for cozy naps. She is gentle, affectionate, and ready to leave survival mode behind for a life filled with love and comfort. If you are looking for a sweet little companion and loyal lap dog, Nessie may be your perfect match. Be sure to ask for Nessie when you complete your application under the Adopt tab.  Her adoption fee is $300

Alexandria (Houston, TX)

Alexandria is a sweet, gentle girl with a calm and loving personality. She was rescued from a Houston shelter in need of immediate medical attention. She had surgery to remove bladder stones and has made a full recovery. She’s about eleven years old and weighs about twenty-three pounds.  She enjoys her daily walks, always happy and well-behaved—she’s never had an accident in the house! Whether snoozing in her cozy crate or relaxing on the couch, she loves her downtime. She’s a mostly quiet girl, but she’ll let you know when she’s ready to go out by giving a little bark. She does not react to other dogs on walks; she’s very easygoing and confident. While Alexandria isn’t clingy, she thrives on gentle petting and affection. She’s been through a lot and is still adjusting to her new life, making her a special, resilient soul. A little mischievous at times, she can be quick to dash out an open door.  She’s a wonderful, low-key companion looking for her forever home! Click the Adopt tab, complete your application and ask for Alexandria as a pup of interest. Her adoption fee is $200

Cullen (Baytown, TX)

Meet Cullen — a gentle little soul with the sweetest eyes and a heart full of devotion.  Cullen is a 5-year-old Schnauzer/Yorkie mix (with maybe a little something extra special!) who weighs about 13 pounds. This adorable boy is the definition of a one-person dog. Once he bonds with his person, he becomes their tiny shadow, faithfully following his foster mom everywhere to make sure she’s safe. It’s his way of loving you. Cullen may be shy at first, but with someone he trusts, he is incredibly affectionate and loyal. He gets along wonderfully with other pups and enjoys the simple joys in life — going for walks, riding in the car, and relaxing nearby while his person goes about their day. Grooming time around his head can make him a little nervous, but this brave boy does his very best. He just needs a gentle, patient touch and reassurance that everything is okay. Sadly, Cullen is afraid of men. We don’t know what caused this fear, but because of it, we believe he would thrive in a calm, all-female home with a kind, patient woman who will give him the time and understanding he deserves. In return, Cullen will give you a loyalty and love that runs incredibly deep. Those soulful eyes are just waiting to look up at the person he can finally call his own. If you think Cullen could be the little companion you’ve been searching for: Click the Adopt tab,  complete your application, ask for Cullen as your pup of interest Cullen’s adoption fee is $300, and he’s ready to find the loving home he’s been waiting for.

Keva (San Antonio, TX)

Meet Keva, a charming 12-year-old, 12-pound female Miniature Schnauzer who has just joined the SRT family. Her story is one many seniors and their beloved pets share—her owner brought her home as a puppy in her 70s, but now in her 80s, she can no longer provide the care Keva deserves. With no family able to step in, Keva is looking for a loving retirement home where she can enjoy her golden years in comfort and happiness. Despite her age, Keva is still a playful spirit! She’s house-trained and leash-trained, making her a wonderful companion for leisurely strolls and cozy days at home. She’s a pro at grooming and visits to the vet, handling both with grace and ease. Keva has mostly been an only dog but seems to get along well with other pups. As for cats—well, she finds them quite entertaining, especially when they dash by! For this reason, she’d do best in a home without feline friends. She would thrive in an all-adult household or one with older children—no toddlers, please. Recently, Keva had a dental cleaning, so her smile is sparkling bright and healthy! If you’re ready to open your heart and home to this sweet senior lady who still has plenty of love and playfulness to share, be sure to ask for Keva when you complete your application under the Adopt tab. Adoption fee $200

Coop (San Antonio, TX)

Introducing Cooper a 9-year-old, 18 lb bundle of fun. He was rescued from a bad situation; however, the family has a cat and Cooper thinks they are fun to bark at and chase. They decided he wasn’t in the best home and contacted SRT to find him a home without a cat.  He’s a total lapdog and is fine with other dogs. As you can see, he enjoys toys and playtime. He’s crate and leash-trained. As more is learned about this little doll, we’ll update his bio. Ask for Cooper when you complete your application under the Adopt tab. Adoption fee $200

Mylo (Spring, TX)

I’m Mylo, a male white Miniature Poodle mix who is about three years old and weighs about eleven pounds with natural ears and tail. I was surrendered to SRT by my family as they had some changes in their situation and weren’t able to keep me any longer. There were children in my home and I did fine with them. But, to be honest, I can be a little nervous when being grabbed, so probably not a good idea to go to a family with  young kids. I was badly matted when I came to SRT as the “professional” groomer said I had to be sedated to finish my grooming. Well, my SRT volunteer did get me groomed. It wasn’t a fun time for me as I had to wear a muzzle, but we got thru it. I can now see out of my eyes! I’m actually not bad and if kept from being matted, I would probably do much better next time. Now the good stuff. I’m good with other pups, am house, crate trained and leash trained. I do like to be with my humans and am calm and tend to just nap. However, when I’m left alone, I voice my displeasure by barking, so no apartment living for me. Click the Adopt tab, complete your application and ask for me, Mylo, as a pup of interest. My adoption fee is $400

Boggie (Cypress, TX)

Boggie, is an adorable 4-year-old, 14 lb. schnauzer mix who came to SRT after he wandered into a random garage and made himself comfortable. He spent the night with his finder, who contacted us to take him into rescue. Boggie traveled without his papers, collar, tags or microchip. We’ve had no luck finding his owners, but in truth, he was badly matted and covered in fleas. He appears to be house-trained and has done well with other pups. He comes when called, but suspect he is an escape artist so will need a secure fenced yard. He did great with both his bath and grooming. Ask for Boggie when you complete your application under the Adopt tab. Adoption fee $400

** Adoption Pending ** Indy

Indy is an adorable doodle who is about 6 months-old and weighs about twenty-two pounds. Indy was pulled from a shelter after he was picked up as a stray. So far we know that he’s great with other pups and being groomed. His bio will be updated once his foster learns more about him. Ask for Indy when you complete your application under the Adopt tab. Adoption fee $600

** Adoption Pending ** Lily Valerie (San Antonio, TX)

Say hello to Lily Valerie, a spunky senior with so much love to give. She’s a lively 10-year-old, 14-lb Miniature Schnauzer who’s proving that age is just a number! This sweet girl has a zest for life — and a deep love for plush toys and tennis balls. If it squeaks or rolls, Lily’s ready to play! Lily came to SRT after her former owner couldn’t afford the medical care she needed. Once our vet team stepped in and started her on medications, the transformation was incredible — she’s full of pep and personality again! Here’s what makes Lily such a gem: She’s great on leash and loves walks (and car rides too!). She recently strolled around The Pearl and soaked up every bit of attention — she loved being admired! She eats well and takes her meds like a champ (especially when peanut butter is involved). Lily is a cuddle queen — she wants to be on your lap and will happily remind you if you forget! She’s likely house-trained, and would thrive with someone who works or stays home and can give her the love she craves. Lily Valerie may be a “senior,” but she’s playful, affectionate, and ready to fill your home with joy. She’s waiting for that special someone who will cherish her golden years as much as she’ll adore you. Click the Adopt tab,  complete your application, and ask for Lily Valerie — your loyal, loving lap buddy for life! Her adoption fee is $200
