Schiatzi (Haslet, TX)

Meet Schiatzi, a very handsome 11-year-old, 26-pound black-and-white Miniature Schnauzer with a big heart and an even bigger zest for life. He’s playful, happy, and ready to enjoy his golden years with a loving family. Years ago his family added another dog, which means Schiatzi gets along well with canine friends, though their presence can trigger a marking tendency in new spaces. With a patient, experienced home, Schiatzi is a charming indoors buddy who is house- and crate-trained and settles nicely into a calm routine. He isn’t currently around children and, although he used to chase cats, he’s not interested in doing that anymore. He can be a little scared at the vet and at the groomer, but with gentle handling he does fine and relaxes once he trusts you. Above all, Schiatzi loves attention, belly rubs, and the comforting ritual of a daily routine followed by cozy cuddle time. Schiatzi deserves a retirement home where he’s cherished and treasured every day. If you’re an adult, dog-savvy home ready to provide steady love and patience, Schiatzi could be the perfect companion.
