Blake

I’m Blake, I’m a white male schnauzer with a mystery mix of something else. I’m about four years old and weigh twenty-six pounds. I love other dogs and would enjoy a companion or I could just be your one and only. I’m good being bathed and groomed and riding in the car. I’m house, crate and leash trained. I should be good around children, though not tested yet. Once I’m in a foster home, SRT will update you on my other great qualities. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Jaffie, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Jaffie

I’m Jaffie, I’m a male salt and pepper Miniature Schnauzer who is about four years old and weighs about thirteen pounds. I have natural ears and a docked tail. I was recently rescued from a shelter and am getting settled in with  my new friends at SRT. I’m proud to say that I am house, crate and leash trained. My favorite place is cuddling in your lap or sleeping in the human bed. I’m not sure how I would do around small children, so for now, I should go to a home with children older than twelve. I would like to be your one and only as I don’t want to share you with another doggie. I only have two lower canine teeth. There’s some speculation that I was used for breeding and had all my teeth pulled. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Jaffie, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Dirk

I’m Dirk, I’m a male salt and pepper Miniature Schnauzer about eight years old and weigh about eleven pounds. I have natural ears and a docked tail. When I was rescued from the shelter, I had an injury to my back left leg and it really hurt. I couldn’t walk on it. Unfortunately my leg had to be amputated and I’ve found that I do quite well navigating the dog door and getting around just fine. I’m quiet in my crate at night and am house trained using the dog door. I get along with other dogs, but I would probably be fine as your only one too. I get my stitches out in another week, but I would love a foster home or forever home now. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Dirk, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $200.

Brody

“You’re not the only one who feels like this; feeling like you lose more than you win. Like life is just an endless hill you climb; You try and try but never arrive.” Well, I want to be done with that. I want to live like I’m loved! I’m Brody and I’m a black, male Miniature Schnauzer with natural ears and a docked tail. I’m about ten years  old and I weigh about thirteen pounds. People are making jokes about my ears and calling me radar. I don’t mind, I’ve been through worse. Much worse! I can take a little teasing! I’m doing much better now that I’m with SRT. I know I’m loved now. But I still want your forever home! I lost a lot of teeth during my dental cleaning…but a little soft food does wonders! I was good getting a bath and groom. It’s exciting – a guy likes to look his best when he’s looking for a forever home! I’m crate, house and leash trained, plus I’m a great car rider. I get along fine with other dogs, or I can be your one and only. Let’s both live like we’re loved! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Brody, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $100.

Layla

I’m Layla, I’m a white female Miniature Schnauzer mix, possibly with poodle. I’m about seven years old and weigh about twenty-one pounds with natural ears and tail. I was a little skittish at first meeting my foster mom, but I’m adjusting quickly. I’m getting lots of belly rubs. I’m crate and leash trained and I’m working hard on my house training and hope to get my certificate soon. I should be good with gentle children and would probably like another playmate to keep me company while you are away. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Layla, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $300.

Sophie Sue

“Too many passing dreams roll by like limousines. It’s hard to keep believing when they pass you by and by. But I’m going to move, keep walking!” Yea, I’m walking…right into your loving forever home! I’m Sophie Sue and I’m a female, black & silver Miniature Schnauzer with cropped ears and a docked tail. I’m about ten years old and I weigh about fourteen pounds. I had an eye injury and my owners took me to a kill shelter and asked them to euthanize me. Yea, no dream there…fortunately, SRT said to let that limousine roll right by! There’s a better ride for me ahead! SRT couldn’t save my eye, but they sure did try! I’m fully recovered now and ready for a retirement home. After all the limos that have passed by, I think I deserve it! Can I walk right in to your place?!  My foster family says I’m completely house trained and I’m crate trained too. I love riding in the car. I also love going for walks and I do well on a leash. I even know some basic commands like sit and stay. I have no issues with my two four-legged pals in the home. I also enjoy chasing the ball and exploring the yard. I want to keep moving. Make room on the couch, click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Sophie Sue, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $100.

** Adoption Pending ** Penny Lane (fostered in San Antonio)

“Here we go again; I will not give in. I’ve got a reason to fight. This is the dangerous life. But you make me feel invincible!” I’m with SRT and I feel like I’ve made it. But there’s one more step….finding you! I’m Penny Lane and I’m a female, black Schnauzer mix (possibly with poodle) with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about two years old and I weigh about nineteen pounds. I was on the streets for a year and that’s a dangerous life. But someone finally took me to the shelter. I was a little shy at first but the staff there were all so nice, I became fast friends with them. I’m in a foster home now and I’m loving this new life! It’s nice to be loved. Makes me feel invincible! I’m a little curious about this thing called a cat, but I think we can be friends too. I’m already friends with the large puppy here! We love to play! I’m working on my house training skills…someone will get you an update on that detail soon! I lost all my furnishings when I got myself all cleaned up but my new friends here assure me that I’ll be gorgeous again soon! You don’t need to wait for that! Just click the Adopt tab and put me, Penny Lane as your dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Hansen

“I’ve been hiding, afraid I’ve let you down. Inside, I doubt that you still love me.” I don’t have to hide anymore! I’ve broken from my past and I’m on the road to a loving place…your forever home! I’m Hansen and I’m a male, brown & tan Schnauzer mix with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about four years old and I weigh about twenty-two pounds. My foster mom said I should lose about five pounds. I’ll work on that…but I think you could still sneak me a treat now and then! I’m a super nice guy who’s very easy to handle, bath, groom and walk. Yep, I have some leash skills! I’m also house, crate trained and I’m quiet riding in the car. I also sleep quietly in my crate at night, but I would also sleep quietly next to you on the big bed. Maybe you can lift me up until I get that athletic body back! I’m also nice to my other four-legged friends too. As a matter of fact, my whole body wiggles in excitement when it’s play time. I would love a home so that I can share all of my good qualities. I don’t want to hid them anymore! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Hansen, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Rio (fostered in San Antonio)

“My mind’s painting pictures, trying to pull me back and trap me in the past. Oh, there’s a fire rising in me. It’s changing me and I’ll never be the same!” I left the past behind and now I’m only looking forward. I’ll never be the same and now I want you to be in my future! I’m Rio and I’m a male, white Schnauzer mix (probably with poodle) with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about four years old and I weigh about twenty-six pounds. I’m a friendly easy going boy, who seems to like everyone I meet. Even the vets don’t scare me! I’m a good travel companion and I know my manners. I’m house trained and crate trained too! I also walk well on a leash. I like my four-legged friends and I get along just fine with other dogs. I even do well with cats. “The less I trust you, the less I grow; The more you love me, the more I know! I don’t have to be afraid to show all of me. I’m going to love you with my whole heart!” My whole heart. My whole big body. All here for you! I’m Big Boy, I’m a male, salt & pepper Schnauzer Mix (maybe with some standard/giant) with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about eight months old and I weigh about forty-two pounds. I guess big and lovable wasn’t what my previous owners wanted….and they turned me into a kill shelter. Go figure. SRT stepped in, shows a little love and compassion and I respond in like kind! I’m a quiet, gentle guy and really don’t cause any trouble at all. I’m crate trained and I’m also house trained too. Yep – no problems there at all! I do need a little work on my leash training–I have places to go and things to see and want to get there fast and bring you along with me. Easily corrected with a little training. I’m good with other dogs and I should also be good with kids. I’m too big for them to hurt me and I’ll never hurt them! Let’s cuddle! Alpo – fostered in Dallas area

“The pages of history they tell me it’s true. That it’s never the perfect; it’s always the ones with the scars that you use. Use these broken wings!” I age and then they decide that they ‘can’t’ take care of me any longer. Yea. Sure. They thought I had broken wings….but with you, watch me soar! I’m Alpo, I’m a male salt & pepper Miniature Schnauzer with natural ears and a docked tail. I’m about nine years old and I weigh about fourteen pounds. As you might expect from the more mature, I got all the basics down pat! Yea, I’m crate trained and I’m house trained too! I like walks and I know how to behave on a leash. These kids these days have nothing on me! I’m also a very friendly, sweet & gentle boy. I love my other four-legged friends. I don’t need to make my voice heard all the time. I also don’t mind being picked up (while you scratch my ears…nothing is for free!). Let’s show everyone what kind of wings I really have. Pick the mature guy that knows the ropes! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Alpo, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $200.

I’m about one year old and I weigh about eighty-five pounds with natural ears and tail. I’m a good boy and my favorite place in the world is to be curled right up next to you! I like the little guys and gals! So big kids but little dogs. That’s me! I’d also be fine in an all-adult home. I’m both house trained and leash trained. Interested? Pepsi

“Everybody’s searching for it; Everybody’s reaching out; Trying to grab a hold of something real. You are the cure!” I need a cure for homelessness. I deserve a home. You’re the cure! I’m Pepsi and I’m a male, black & cream Schnauzer mix with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about one year old and I weigh about twenty-two pounds. I’m a super friendly dude and I seem to get along with everyone. Growing up in a loving home would be perfect for me…and perfect for you! I love giving kisses. I’m a good car rider too. I’m crate trained and working hard to put the finishing touches on my house training skills. I like to go on walks but I do pull on the leash a little….but that’s because there are so many interesting things to see. I like it when we pass other dogs. I like my other four-legged friends and I’m nice when we meet. SRT will keep you posted as they learn more about me. But what more is needed? You’re the cure! Will you be the one that makes me beloved! I’m Choby and I’m a male, white Miniature Schnauzer with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about three years old and I weigh about thirteen pounds. Where I came from, on the streets of Houston, ain’t no one being beloved down there! But some nice people rescued me and in stepped SRT. I’m feeling better already! I’m a really great guy and I’d make a good travel companion. I would just sit right by you on any kind of adventure! I’ve got a kind, gentle soul…and isn’t that the best kind of best friend? I’m like that with my other four-legged friends too. I’m a get along type!  I’m also crate trained and I’m house trained too. I love walks and I do great on a leash. I’m Lucy 2, a female, liver-colored Miniature Schnauzer with cropped ears and a docked tail. I’m about ten years old and  I weigh about ten pounds. My former owners didn’t want me any more and tried to adopt a puppy at the shelter when they turned me in. Flood or the fire. Remember? Geez. Luckily, SRT was there to save me. Daisy Mae – fostered in San Antonio

I’m about five years old and weigh about twelve pounds. I lost my family due to some human issues…but at least they brought me to SRT, where I’ll be safe. I’m a little skittish, so think I would do best in an all adult home (or at least a home with older children). I’m fine around other dogs, but really don’t need a pal to hang around with. I’m submissive around my four-legged friends. I’d just like a place to call my own. A place where I’m not alone. Your place! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Daisy Mae, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $300.

Anna – fostered in San Antonio

A safe and happy home. Yes please – I’ll take both! I’m Ana and I’m a female, salt & pepper Schnauzer mix with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about four years old and I weigh about fourteen pounds. My pup is Naveen and he was just adopted. I’m a shy girl and I wasn’t made for life on the streets. I was made for laps. And kisses. And love! I’m super sweet and very quiet. I think I’ll love being around kids…well, the nice and gentle kids. Those that are like me! SRT is working on my coat to bring me back to my gorgeous self. More will be known about my skills and personality when I find a foster. But why wait for that? Just look at this face! Take your mighty hand and click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Anna, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

I’m a very happy, affectionate and playful young dog. I just want a family of my own! I get along with everyone. I love my human friends and I love my four-legged friends too. For being a youngster, I’m unusually docile. And unusually sweet too I might add! I’m crate trained and I’m just about ready to get my house training certificate. My foster mom gives me a grade of 98%! That’s an A. But mom says we need perfection in this subject! OK then! If you’re ready for puppy, without all the ‘puppy’ then click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Elle Rose, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

I’ll be on your lap within five minutes. And let me tell you, it will be worth the five minute wait! I might even give you a little kiss! I love my four-legged friends and I get along just fine. I think cats will be OK too. I’m just pretty laid back in that regard. That demeanor will also make me good with kids who are gentle with me. Excited children might scare me at first. I’m house trained and crate trained too. In addition, I’m also good on a leash…so let’s get walking! Or let’s go in a car…I ride well too.  Now that I feel safe, my personality is really shining through. Nothing is gonna steal my joy! And, with you, I’m going to win the race! I’m Princess D and I’m a female, black Miniature Schnauzer with natural ears and a docked tail. I’m about four years old and I weigh about twenty-two pounds. I was amazed that my family moved out of the apartment and forgot to take me with them. I’m sure it was an oversight. I mean, I am a quiet girl. But still. Really? I’m glad to be with a group where I can get some water and a meal! I almost didn’t make it in that apartment! Despite my apartment experience, I do love people. Especially people who help me win the race! I’m really good with other dogs and I enjoy a fun romp in the yard. I also have house training skills! Everyone likes that! I had to get shaved down a bit…and I lost my beard too….but that will grow back and you’ll see the beauty that I am! But you don’t need to wait for that. I’m ready now! Just click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Princes D., as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

** Adoption Pending ** Cora

I’m Cora, a female black and brown mixed breed who is 6 months old and weighs 13 lbs. Yes, I know I’m not a schnauzer, but a few people fell in love with me and decided I was too cute to be euthanized at the shelter. I love my foster mom and am having a blast playing with the foster 4-legged friends. I am an energetic girl who loves to investigate things and explore the outdoors. I do like to keep my foster mom in sight though to be sure she is safe. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Cora, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

** Adoption Pending ** Miles

I’m Miles, a male,  parti-color miniature schnauzer mix who is about 2 years old and weighs about 10 lbs with natural ears and tail. I was recently rescued from a kill shelter and I’ve been very scared. I’ve been warming up to my SRT friends and had a nice bath and haircut. Fleas and mats are now gone. I really need a foster home as I’m even a bit scared of other dogs. I think I would prefer an all adult home as I am so timid and not sure of things just yet. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Miles, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

** Adoption Pending ** Lincoln

I’m Lincoln, a male black miniature schnauzer mix about 2 years old and 22 lbs with natural ears and tail. I was recently rescued from a shelter in the Houston area. I’ve been in boarding since rescued, but my SRT friends can testify that I am a friendly guy who gets along well with others. I did excellent with my bath and being groomed too. I’d really like to be in a foster home so I can share my other talents with everyone. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Lincoln, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

** Adoption Pending ** Cutie

I’m Cutie, a female salt and pepper miniature schnauzer mix, about 2 years old and weigh 10 lbs with natural ears and tail. I had a nasty burn on my back and am unable to tell SRT what happened. But the good news is they took me to the vet right away and I was treated for it. Maybe hair won’t grow back but that’s OK, I’m still a lovable girl.  I love people and give everyone I meet a kiss. I am playful and would love a home where I have another pal to play with and to steal the toys. I’m house, crate and leash trained.  Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Cutie, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Brandon – fostered in Austin

I’m Brandon, a  male, salt & pepper Miniature Schnauzer, 13 years old, 22 pounds with natural ears and tail. I may be nearly blind and a senior,  but it doesn’t slow me down. I quickly memorized my foster home and I can outwalk the hardiest walker. I love playing tug-of-war, going on long walks to be petted and loved on. I’m a great watchdog and have a good sense of hearing. I really don’t like young puppies who are annoying and always jumping around on me. I don’t mind dogs who are calm like me. I’m Bruiser, a male, black and brown schnauzer mix, about 4 years old and 30 lbs with natural ears and tail. I’m feeling much better after recovering from that nasty ear infection. I’m a friendly boy who gets along with others, is good being bathed and groomed. My friends at SRT think I would be good with children as I’m so friendly. Toddlers may get knocked down, so a little older children would probably be best though.   Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Bruiser, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

** Adoption Pending ** Astrid – fostered in San Antonio area

I’m Astrid, a white female miniature schnauzer mix/terrier about 5 months old and weigh about 8 lbs with natural ears and tail. I’m a little timid of people, but once I know you, I’m a snuggling monster and love being held on your lap. Even though I’m 14 lbs., I really need to gain about 5 lbs so am loving all of the additional treats. I’m a super friendly boy and like everyone I meet–both 2-legged and 4-legged. I really didn’t care for my bath, but I was good about it. I was fine getting my pedicure and didn’t fuss at all. I’m crate trained, although I would prefer to be near you. SRT will update you more on my great qualities after I’ve been placed into a foster home. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Stevie, as a dog of interest. Perry – fostered in Austin

I’m Perry, a male black and white miniature schnauzer mix (maybe some shihtzu) about 3 years old and about 8 lbs with natural ears and tail. The shelter was a terrifying place and I was so glad to get out of there alive. I’m a timid boy, so would do best in an all adult home as the little ones would probably scare me. I do fine with other dogs and cats too. I’m a quiet boy but I like to make ferocious noises when I’m playing tug-o-war. It takes me a little time to warm up to new people, but once I do, I’m friends with you for life. My favorite place is curled up in your lap and my tail never stops wagging. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Perry, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400

Hardy Boy

I’m Hardy Boy, a male black and white miniature schnauzer mix about 12 years old and I weigh about 27 lbs with natural ears and tail. My family surrendered me to a local kill shelter because they were moving to a place that didn’t allow pets. Wow, I thought they would have checked that out first before signing a lease. I was with them for 10 years and they told the folks at the shelter that I was house and crate trained and a highly social boy who loves everyone he meets–even cats. I’m good with children and love to play with another dog. With all of these good qualities, wouldn’t you love to adopt me. Click the  ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Hardy Boy, as a dog of interest! My adoption fee is $100.

I’m Harold a male black schnauzer mix who is about 3 years old and weighs about 8 lbs. I’m very timid meeting new people, but once I have a leash on and go for a walk with you, I’m your best friend.  My foster family think I’m a “love bug” because I always want to snuggle.  I’m completely house trained and like my 4-legged sister, Dixie. I was very brave with my grooming and bath. Once I’m your friend, I will remember you always. Since I’m so timid, I would prefer a home with older children as the little ones may scare me. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Harold, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Shelby Rue

I’m Shelby Rue, a female, black Schnauzer mix, 3 years old and 10 lbs. with  natural ears and tail. I’m a very sweet girl who loves people. I’ve heard about therapy dogs and I think I would be great at it because I love to be held and to stay right with my human.  I’m house and crate trained.  I really don’t need a companion animal , but I’m OK with another 4-legged friend. I was good with my bath and haircut too. If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Shelby Rue, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Boy Bear

“Oh, it doesn’t matter what they say in the papers, ’cause it’s always been the same old scene.  There’s a new band in town but you can’t get the sound from a story in a magazine;  Aimed at your average teen.  Everybody’s talkin’ ’bout the new sound, funny, but it’s still rock and roll to me!”  Times are a changing.  These young kids have a new word for just about everything…like it’s something really new.  But most things just stay the same. Kind of like a man and his dog.  That never goes out of style.  Companionship.  There’s just not other words that describe it!  I’m Boy Bear…if you say it fast, it sounds like Boyds Bear!  I’m a kidder.  I’m a male Miniature Schnauzer mix with natural ears and a docked tail.  I’m about eight years old and I weigh about fourteen pounds.  My previous owner died and, well, keeping up with a dog and his needs wasn’t easy in the end.  I like the human friends I’ve met but I would do better around older children. I’m generally fine with other dogs.  I am crate trained and I’m house trained too. I’ve got a lot of love I can share!  I just completed cataract surgery. One bad eye had to be removed but I’m like a new man with my other eye! I can see again. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Boy Bear, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $200.

Truman

My name is Truman and I’m a male, liver-parti Miniature Schnauzer with natural ears and a docked tail. I’m about eight years old and I weigh about ten pounds. I have a friendly, outgoing personality and I’ll just walk right up and greet anyone I see. I’ve got a great temperment and I think I’d be great with older kids.  I’m easy to handle and I do great on a leash! I’m crate trained and I’m house trained too! I’ve interacted with other four-legged friends and I do well playing with others. I’d love a home where we hang out and spend time together. I’ve missed that in a relationship! O forever home! I’ve just completed cataract surgery and I’m doing well. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Truman, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $200.

Parker

I’m Parker a male, black & brown Schnauzer mix, 3 years old, 13 pounds with natural ears and tail. I’m a happy guy who enjoys playing with other dogs, but I sometimes like to bully the smaller ones–in a nice way. I’m a little exuberant when meeting new people, so my foster mom thinks children who are 10 years and older would be best for me. I only have one eye, but that doesn’t slow me down at all. Most of all, I love being in your lap and getting that wonderful ear rub. If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Parker, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400

Diamond

I’m Diamond a female, brown (with silver highlights) Schnauzer Mix, 2 years old, 22 pounds with natural ears and tail. I would prefer a home with children who are over 10 years old as the younger ones make me a bit nervous. I enjoy playing with other dogs and having  a companion dog who likes to play too would be awesome. Grooming and vet visits are scary for me, but I try to be brave and not move at all.  I’m learning from my foster home, that humans can be kind. It will take me a little more time to be convinced, but I’m getting there. If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Diamond, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400

Kutter

I’m Kutter, a male, black & silver Miniature Schnauzer, 2 years old, 16 pounds with natural ears and tail. I love everyone I meet and my tail never stops wagging. I used to live outdoors all the time and love being inside with my foster family. I would do fine with children, but since I’m so happy to see them, it would best they are over 5 years old so I don’t knock them down with my happy greeting. I was scared at the groomer, but was very brave and they said I was excellent. If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Kutter, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400

Timmy

I’m Timmy a male, tan (with reddish highlights), 3 years old, 10 pound terrier mix. I would do best in a home with children who are 12 years or older.  I enjoy playing with 4-legged pals and do well with both boys and girls. I don’t need to be groomed often, but when I do, I’m fine getting spruced up. My favorite thing in the world is cuddling with you and the second thing is sleeping under the covers.  If that’s not your thing, I’m OK with sleeping in my crate too.  If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Timmy, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400

Mila

img_0066

I’m Mila a female, black Schnauzer mix, a year old , 45 pounds with natural ears and tail. I’m house trained and good around children–even toddlers. I would prefer to be an only dog as I don’t like to share my toys or food! I’m good with grooming and bathing. Since I’m a mix, I don’t need to be groomed as often so less expense. That’s a good thing, right? If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Mila, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400

Jake….From State Farm!

“What are you wearing, Jake from State Farm?”  “Uh…khakis.”  Ha ha! I love that commercial. I wear black khakis! I’m Jake and I’m a male, black Schnauzer Mix with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about four years old and I weigh just ten pounds. I’m totally blind. I’m just going to get that one out there from the start. But, you might be surprised what all I can do! I’m a good and friendly boy. I play well with others but I like my space when it’s feeding time. When you can’t see who might be trying to sneak a bite of your food, you get a little protective of it! I like a few toys and sometimes I try to play with the other dogs with toys. I can’t say that I’m house trained but I’ve had very few accidents at my foster mom’s home. I do well once I navigate where the door is and when I’m taken out at regular intervals. Team approach! I’m not really big on the whole crate thing. I love being outside and enjoy the wind in my face. I do like walks but I’m going to need some help with that leash. Every walk is a new experience. Close your eyes when you walk…and you’ll see what I mean! If you have some patience and love, that’s all I need to be happy! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Jake – From State Farm, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Corbin (fostered in Dallas area)

I’m Corbin a male, tri-color schnauzer mix, 18 months old, 16 pounds with a natural tail and ears. I’m a little shy when meeting new people and will dance around wanting to meet you, but still a little hesitant. My tail never stops wagging though. I like other dogs and would do best with older children as I think the younger ones would scare me. I’m house and crate trained and I’m working on my leash training now. I love sitting on the couch next to my foster mom and giving her kisses. I also like to gather toys. Mom says I’m a love! If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Corbin, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Ruffles (fostered in San Antonio)

I’m Ruffles, a female, black Schnauzer Mix, 6 years old, 21 pounds with natural ears and a docked tail. My foster mom said I’m the best foster ever. She’s selling her house and said no more fosters, except for me. I can stay. I’m quiet and enjoy playing with my foster brother. I so enjoy hanging out with my foster family and they  let me curl up on the couch with them and even on their tempurpedic! I’m completely housetrained, good around children. Since I’m not a purebred, I do shed a little, but the trade off is less expense on grooming! I do have to admit that I’m not a fan of cats. They are so much fun to chase, but they don’t seem to like it. If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Ruffles, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $300.

Thumper

I’m Thumper, a male, white Schnauzer/Poodle Mix, 10 years old, 21 pounds, with natural ears and docked tail. I’m great with other dogs, but I don’t really need a playmate. At my age, a ride in the car or laying in the sun on a nice day works just fine. I’m house trained and enjoy sitting next to you while you watch tv or just hang out. If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Thumper, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $100.

Homer – fostered in Loft, TX

I’m Homer, a male, black Miniature Schnauzer, 9 years old, 35 pounds with natural ears and a docked tail. My life hasn’t been that easy and so I’m glad I was rescued by SRT. I’ve put on 12 lbs since I was pulled from that shelter and am just right now. My coat was also in bad shape, but with the medicated baths and medication, it is coming back and I know it will be shiny again. I prefer an all adult home where I can spend my senior years relaxing. I’m good with grooming and my bath and enjoy feeling clean!  If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Homer, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $200.

Huey

“Grandma got run over by a reindeer, walking home from our house Christmas eve.” I didn’t get run over by a reindeer, I just had a little respiratory infection. But that’s behind me so let’s get on that sleigh together! I’m Huey and I’m a male, salt & pepper Schnauzer mix (likely a Schnoodle – part Poodle / part Schnauzer) with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about eight years old and I weigh about nineteen pounds. I’m leash trained and I’m also crate trained (but not a big fan of it to be honest). But I’m house trained too…so what’s the point?! I’m a good boy, pretty quiet, and I’m sweet and friendly…though a little timid at first. Once I see how you treat dogs and that I won’t be hurt, I’ll be your best pal! I’m not a real big fan of baths. Maybe I hadn’t had one in a while….I thought I was being attacked by aliens! I’ll keep you updated on my skills and personality. Don’t need to know more? Then click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Huey, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $200

Sabre

srt-sabre-m     srt-sabre-j     srt-sabre-l

“Sing choirs of angels, sing in exultation! Glory in the highest! Oh come let us adore him!” I’ve dreamed of being in a home where someone adores me. It’s the way a dog is supposed to live! I adore you and you adore me! I’m Sabre and I’m a male, white Miniature Schnauzer with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about ten years old and I weigh about twenty-two pounds. I’m a very sweet boy and friendly with my owners. I’m also a bit typical of an older gentleman…a little set in my ways! I don’t really like to be picked up. I don’t like people messing with my face. I do like being outside when it’s nice and I’ll bark to let you know that it’s time for me to come in. Not the other way around you see! The ideal family for me would be a senior couple that just wants a good boy who lets you know that he adores you! I’m leash trained and I do enjoy going for walks. I’m also crate trained and I’m house trained too. I have good manners you know! I’ve played with other dogs and I do fine with them. I can have a friend or not have a friend. Older gents can be a bit indifferent in that way! Look at this face. Look at the adoration! Pick me! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Sabre, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $100.

Lucky Lou

“Now I wait for a break in the silence ’cause it’s all that you left. Just me and these four walls again.” On my own. Hit by a car. Multiple broken bones and fractures and an internal injury too. You might think that it’s just too tall of an order. But SRT, like they always do, came to save the day! I’ve had my surgery and am looking for a forever home. I’m Lucky Lou – and I am lucky! I’m a male, black Shihtzu/poodle mix with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m just one year old and I weigh about eleven pounds. I have a wonderful, loving temperament and I’m really good at giving kisses! I love kids and I have experience. They get kisses too! I’m good with other dogs and I’m partial to small dogs or those just slightly bigger than me. I don’t do as well around big dogs. I bark at them like I’m the one in charge! I sleep in my crate all night! Unfortunately, the injuries from my meeting with the car have left me with permanent damage to some nerve endings and I’m a little incontinent.  I’m OK with a belly band and I sleep on a pad in my crate. I have such a sweet personality and I’m such a good boy. I just need that one home where my one issue isn’t a deal breaker. Maybe it’s you! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application an put me, Lucky Lou, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Jackson Joe

“You can do the impossible, because you have been through the unimaginable.” Christina Rasmussen. A guy my age, still trying to find that perfect home. I always had my son with me, but he’s recently passed. No one should outlive their children…it’s just not right. And it’s heartbreaking. But maybe I can find a home and live out my life in peace, knowing that I was loved. That’s why I’m looking to you! I’m Jackson Joe, people call me J J, and I’m a male, black & silver Schnauzer with natural ears and a docked tail. I’m 14 years old and I weigh about 17 pounds. Given my age, I’d probably be best in an all-adult home. I’d love it if someone were around during the day. I’d sure like some company…and not just at night. I get along with other dogs at playtime but inside my home, I’m an only dog kind of guy. I need to be your only four-legged friend. I’ve got good house skills…I’m crate trained and I’m house trained too! I still like walks and I’m good on a leash. There are many pluses to being mature! I’m just a sweet guy whose friendly and needs a little love in his life. That’s where you come in! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Jackson Joe, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $50.
