Darla

I’m Darla, a female, salt and pepper Miniature Schnauzer who is about ten months old and weighs sixteen pounds with cropped ears and a docked tail. I’m a very friendly girl who seems to get along with everyone I meet. SRT is finding out more about me and will update my bio as soon as they know more. My sister is Ruby but she is going to need to have liver shunt surgery and won’t be available for adoption for several months. I know I would like a companion animal as I’m going to miss Ruby. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Darla, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Zuzu

I’m Zuzu, a female grey and white Miniature Schnauzer mix who is about one year old and weighs nine pounds with natural ears and tail. I was recently rescued from a shelter and I was totally scared in there. I’ll admit that I am a bit shy so I think my best home would be one with older children who are gentle with me. I’m fine meeting other dogs and am quiet in my crate. I didn’t mind getting trimmed by the groomer, but I was really interested in exploring the room more than being on the table. I’ll have my baby making equipment disabled this week and will be ready for adoption. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application an put me, Zuzu, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Shiny – fostered in Bedford, TX

I’m Shiny a female, black Miniature Schnauzer who is about ten years old and weighs about eleven pounds. I have cropped ears and a docked tail. I was recently rescued from a shelter and am in a nice foster home. I have been to the vet and am getting a few minor issues addressed and soon will be as good as new. I’ll be seeing some extra treats as I’m a little underweight. There are two other schnauzers in my foster home and we all get along great. We like to lay around and take naps. I’m learning how to use the dog door and will master it soon so I can get a 100% on my house training score. I usually stand in front of the door waiting to be let outside. I’m fine sleeping in a wire crate, but the plastic ones scare me. I’m good walking on a leash, but sometimes, I really want to lead the way. I’m fine being groomed, just a little scared when those clippers get near my head. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application an put me, Shiny, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $100.

Abbe

I’m Abbe, a female, white Standard Schnauzer who is about five years old and weighs about thirty pounds. I have natural ears and tail. My mom decided she needed to surrender me because of her health issues. We were both pretty sad about that, but I know SRT will find me a great home. I’m house, crate and leash trained. I’ve been around children without any issues. I love other dogs and want to make friends with them. I haven’t been around cats yet, so not sure what they are. I’m playful, observant and a happy girl. I do well at both the groomers and the vet. What’s not to love about me? Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Abbe, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $300.

Peppermint – fostered in San Antonio

I’m Peppermint, a female, black and white Miniature Schnauzer mix who is about four years old and weighs about eleven pounds. I have natural ears and tail. My family’s circumstances changed and they thought I really need a home with a yard so I could go out and keep those squirrels away. I’m house, crate and leash trained. I’m good with other dogs and even cats. I love everyone I meet and have received excellent reports from the vet and the groomer. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Peppermint, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Gabby – fostered in Montgomery, TX

I’m Gabby, a female black and white Standard Schnauzer Mix who is about six months old and weighs twenty-six pounds. I have natural ears and tail. I’m staying with a nice foster family and am really having fun playing with my new friends. I’m really good at the vet’s office as I know they are there to help me. I’m calm and quiet the entire time. My foster mom thinks I’ll make someone an amazing family member. She said I’m a laid back smart curious girl. I also love to cuddle. I’m crate and leash trained and that house training certificate is almost signed. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application an put me, Gabby, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

** Adoption Pending ** Zoe Marie – fostered in San Antonio

I’m Zoe Marie, a female salt and pepper Miniature Schnauzer who is about six years old and weights about twenty-two pounds. I have natural ears and a docked tail. I was just rescued from a shelter so SRT will update my bio as they learn more about me. I have met some other dogs and did well with them. I like my human and want attention. I still need to go to the vet to get my baby making equipment disabled, but I’ll be ready soon. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application an put me, Zoe Marie, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $300.

Yuli

I’m Yuli, a female salt and pepper Miniature Schnauzer who is about a year old and weighs thirteen pounds with natural ears and tail. I was found during the Harvey floods and the people who found me tried to find my family. With no tags, no chip, no collar–no chance. I was turned into a shelter and was terrified there. You see, I’m very timid meeting new people. Once you take me for a walk though, we become fast friends. I spent some time with the groomer and I did great, even with my pedicure. I think I would prefer an all adult calm home since little ones would scare me and then they would bring their friends over too. My house training skills are being evaluated now and once SRT knows more about me, they will update my bio. So far I have been very quiet and fine meeting other dogs. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application an put me, Yuli, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Mollie Bea – fostered in San Antonio

I’m Mollie Bea, a female, black Miniature Schnauzer who is about seven years old and weighs about fifteen pounds. I have natural ears and a docked tail. I was just rescued and SRT is still learning about all of my great qualities. So far, I’ve shown that I’m good around other dogs and had no issues going to see the vet. The groomer thought I was excellent. SRT will update my bio once they know more about me. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Mollie Bea, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $300.

Artu – fostered in Austin

I’m Artu a handsome male, black Miniature Schnauzer mix who is about two years old and weighs about twenty-seven pounds. I have natural ears and tail.  I recently had a haircut and while it was my first, I did extremely well, if I say so myself.  I’m a happy energetic boy and would like an active family, even one with children, a yard and other dogs.  My foster mom says I do great with her two dogs and love having friends around!  I know sit, down, and my name very well….I’m super smart and learn quickly.  I’m house trained (haven’t had a single accident w my foster mom) and haven’t chewed anything I’m not supposed to (trash, shoes). I even went for a swim in my foster moms pool and figured out how to get out right away!  I’m a huge cuddler, but also enjoy sleeping on my dog bed when asked!   I love playing with stuffed toys and chewing bully sticks.  Can’t wait to find my forever family! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Artu, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Nicco

I’m Nicco and I’m a male salt and pepper Miniature Schnauzer mix who is about four years old and weighs about fourteen pounds. I have natural ears and tail. My former owner thought nothing of leaving me outside all the time and she finally surrendered me to a neighbor who felt sorry for me. SRT has a professional trainer working with me so that I can gain confidence and not be so afraid of new people. Truth be told, I’m her very favorite. She loves me. I do need a home where there are no children as I can still get scared. Once I know you though, I’m a total cuddle bug. I’m house, crate and leash trained and am fine with other non-aggressive animals. Hope you like my professional pictures courtesy of Jennifer’s Hot Dogs (she loves me too). Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Nicco, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Hana

I’m Hana and I’m a female salt and pepper Miniature Schnauzer who is about seventeen months old and weighs eighteen pounds. I have natural ears and tail. I’m a friendly, quiet girl.  I’ve met a few of my foster’s pups and I was a little intimidated by them, but we are getting along just fine. I was also groomed and was very brave even with the clippers around my head. I haven’t been around any children at my foster home, but I think I would be great with them, as long as they are gentle with me. I love meeting new people and everyone gets kisses from me. My house training skills are being evaluated right now and so far, I’m getting a passing score. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Hana, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Pirate – fostered in Dallas area

I’m Pirate, I’m a male, black with tan Miniature Schnauzer mix (maybe with Yorkie) who is about a year old and weighs twelve pounds. I have natural ears and tail. I’m new to SRT, but so far have met several people and I liked them all and have even had lots of cuddles already. I got a haircut to remove all of those nasty mats and I was very brave and the volunteer thought I was excellent. I have a birth defect to my right front leg and SRT took me to the specialty vet and he examined my leg and took x-rays too. He said I have an abnormal gait, but he said I was a happy guy and not in pain so nothing was needed to be done. I’m read for adoption now. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Pirate, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

** Adoption Pending ** Midnight – fostered in San Antonio

I’m Midnight, I’m a male, black and white Miniature Schnauzer who is about two years old and weighs about twenty pounds. I have natural ears and a docked tail. I’m settling in nicely with my foster family who have two other dogs and we are all getting along fine. My foster mom will update my bio once she learns more about me. She did say that I was excellent being groomed and was great at the vet. I’m a pretty laid back kind of guy. I’ll be having some surgery soon and should be available for adoption by mid-November. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Midnight, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Smallz – fostered in Austin

I’m Smallz, a male, black Miniature Schnauzer mix who is about a year old and weigh about ten pounds. I have natural ears and tail. I was just recently rescued, but already am showing my foster family my great qualities. I would do best in a home with older children or an all adult one. Those fast hands make me very nervous. I’m also good around small dogs my size, but those big dogs scare me, especially when they run right at me. I’m a little shy when meeting new people, but once I know you I am extremely loving, playful and sweet. I also love to play with toys. I am house and crate trained. What more could you ask? Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application an put me, Smallz, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Mrs Chispa

I’m Mrs Chispa, I’m a female, salt and pepper Miniature Schnauzer who is about ten years old and weighs about sixteen pounds. I have natural ears and a docked tail. Unfortunately my home was flooded in Harvey and me and my mom have been staying with family. What’s even sadder, my mom is moving into a senior living center and I’m not allowed to go with her. I don’t understand because I’m a senior too. I’m house, crate and leash trained. I’m fine meeting other dogs and cats, but don’t care if I have a four-legged friend. I prefer being with my human and enjoy taking walks and playing with my toys. I’m a little shy meeting new people, but warm up quickly.  If you are interested in a well behaved, sweet girl, I’m it. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Mrs. Chispa, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $100.

** Adoption Pending ** Lizzie

I’m Lizzie, I’m a female, black Miniature Schnauzer mix who is about two years old and weighs twenty-four pounds. I have natural ears and tail. My foster mom has been able to learn what a happy playful girl I am. I love playing with other dogs, but when they get tired of my attention, I back off. I know not everyone likes to play like I do. I think I would like an active family and although I haven’t been tested around children, I think I would like them too. Probably not the little toddlers as I may knock them over. My SRT foster will update you on my other great qualities very soon.  Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application an put me, Lizzie, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Peaches – fostered in Dallas

I’m Peaches, I’m a female, salt and pepper Miniature Schnauzer who is about nine years old and weighs about fourteen pounds. I have natural ears and a docked tail. Even though I did have a microchip and the shelter contacted my family, they didn’t come to get me. My SRT foster can’t believe it because he knows that I am good with children, other dogs, house, crate and leash trained. Don’t understand why they didn’t come for me, but obviously I am better where I am now. I do have cataracts in both eyes, but have learned my temporary home very quickly and get around fine. If you are interested in a well behaved, sweet girl, I’m it. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application an put me, Peaches, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $200.

Soldier

I’m Soldier, I’m a male salt and pepper Miniature Schnauzer who is about five years old and weighs about fifteen pounds. I have natural ears and tail. I’m a bit of an alpha male and do much better with female four-legged friends. As you can see, I like my toys and keep myself entertained with them. I’m house, crate and leash trained.  I was great being groomed. My foster mom also doesn’t think I should go to a family with small children.  I’m a little shy meeting new people, but I warm up quickly. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application an put me, Soldier, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $300.

Banndit – fostered in San Antonio

I’m Banndit, I’m a male, salt and pepper Miniature Schnauzer mix who is about four years old and weighs about thirteen pounds. I’m settling in nicely with my foster family who have two other dogs and we are all getting along fine. I really like playing with another dog. I’ve already shown that I am house, crate and leash trained. I’m a little shy and timid when first meeting new people, but once I know you, I’m your forever friend. I love to be held and will want to keep an eye on you at all times, just to be sure you are safe. I’m ready for adoption and waiting on my perfect home. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application an put me, Banndit, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Shatzi – fostered in Austin

I’m Shatzi, I’m a female salt and pepper Miniature Schnauzer who is about twelve years old and weighs fourteen pounds. I have cropped ears and a docked tail. My family turned me into a shelter because of some “domestic issues”. That’s all I know is that I wasn’t being taken care of anyway, so I’m better off now. I do have some neck pain and am getting some crate rest to allow that to heal. I would do best in an all adult home or with older children because of the issue with my neck. I’m usually friendly with other dogs, unless they are aggressive toward me and then my schnauzerness comes out. Getting groomed right now is difficult because of my pain and I’m very anxious about being hurt. I know I’ll do better when I am feeling better. My foster mom says I’m really sweet and spunky. She says I want to be the Queen Bee. That’s a good thing, right? I’m a low key girl, well behaved, house and crate trained and love going on walks. Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Shatzi, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $100.

Smiley (fostered in Austin)

“The valleys that I wander turn to mountains that I can climb! There ain’t nothing gonna steal my joy!” I already know – just being around you is going to push me to new heights! Let’s get started! I’m Smiley I’m a male, black Schnauzer mix with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about two years old and I weigh about eleven pounds. I’m a little shy, but I warm up quickly. I’ll be on your lap within five minutes. And let me tell you, it will be worth the five minute wait! I might even give you a little kiss! I love my four-legged friends and I get along just fine. I think cats will be OK too. I’m just pretty laid back in that regard. That demeanor will also make me good with kids who are gentle with me. Excited children might scare me at first. I’m house trained and crate trained too. In addition, I’m also good on a leash…so let’s get walking! Or let’s go in a car…I ride well too.  Now that I feel safe, my personality is really shining through. Nothing is gonna steal my joy! Click the  ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Smiley, as a dog of interest! My adoption fee is $400.

El Chavo (fostered in Austin area)

I’m El Chavo a male black and tan miniature schnauzer mix about 4 years old and weigh about 26 lbs with natural ears and tail. I was found on a back road and taken in by some nice people. They took care of me while trying to find my owners. They never did and now I’m in need of a home. I’m a bit shy meeting new people. I have been tested around a baby and I was just fine. I like other dogs and am house trained. If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, El Chavo, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Jake….From State Farm!

“What are you wearing, Jake from State Farm?”  “Uh…khakis.”  Ha ha! I love that commercial. I wear black khakis! I’m Jake and I’m a male, black Schnauzer Mix with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about four years old and I weigh just ten pounds. I’m totally blind. I’m just going to get that one out there from the start. But, you might be surprised what all I can do! I’m a good and friendly boy. I play well with others but I like my space when it’s feeding time. When you can’t see who might be trying to sneak a bite of your food, you get a little protective of it! I like a few toys and sometimes I try to play with the other dogs with toys. I can’t say that I’m house trained but I’ve had very few accidents at my foster mom’s home. I do well once I navigate where the door is and when I’m taken out at regular intervals. Team approach! I’m not really big on the whole crate thing. I love being outside and enjoy the wind in my face. I do like walks but I’m going to need some help with that leash. Every walk is a new experience. Close your eyes when you walk…and you’ll see what I mean! If you have some patience and love, that’s all I need to be happy! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Jake – From State Farm, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.

Homer – fostered in Loft, TX

I’m Homer, a male, black Miniature Schnauzer, 9 years old, 35 pounds with natural ears and a docked tail. My life hasn’t been that easy and so I’m glad I was rescued by SRT. I’ve put on 12 lbs since I was pulled from that shelter and am just right now. My coat was also in bad shape, but with the medicated baths and medication, it is coming back and I know it will be shiny again. I prefer an all adult home where I can spend my senior years relaxing. I’m good with grooming and my bath and enjoy feeling clean!  If interested in adopting,  click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Homer, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $200.

Huey

“Grandma got run over by a reindeer, walking home from our house Christmas eve.” I didn’t get run over by a reindeer, I just had a little respiratory infection. But that’s behind me so let’s get on that sleigh together! I’m Huey and I’m a male, salt & pepper Schnauzer mix (likely a Schnoodle – part Poodle / part Schnauzer) with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about eight years old and I weigh about nineteen pounds. I’m leash trained and I’m also crate trained (but not a big fan of it to be honest). But I’m house trained too…so what’s the point?! I’m a good boy, pretty quiet, and I’m sweet and friendly…though a little timid at first. Once I see how you treat dogs and that I won’t be hurt, I’ll be your best pal! I’m not a real big fan of baths. Maybe I hadn’t had one in a while….I thought I was being attacked by aliens! I’ll keep you updated on my skills and personality. Don’t need to know more? Then click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Huey, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $200

Sabre – fostered in Kempner

srt-sabre-m     srt-sabre-j     srt-sabre-l

“Sing choirs of angels, sing in exultation! Glory in the highest! Oh come let us adore him!” I’ve dreamed of being in a home where someone adores me. It’s the way a dog is supposed to live! I adore you and you adore me! I’m Sabre and I’m a male, white Miniature Schnauzer with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m about ten years old and I weigh about twenty-two pounds. I’m a very sweet boy and friendly with my owners. I’m also a bit typical of an older gentleman…a little set in my ways! I don’t really like to be picked up. I don’t like people messing with my face. I do like being outside when it’s nice and I’ll bark to let you know that it’s time for me to come in. Not the other way around you see! The ideal family for me would be a senior couple that just wants a good boy who lets you know that he adores you! I’m leash trained and I do enjoy going for walks. I’m also crate trained and I’m house trained too. I have good manners you know! I’ve played with other dogs and I do fine with them. I can have a friend or not have a friend. Older gents can be a bit indifferent in that way! Look at this face. Look at the adoration! Pick me! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application and put me, Sabre, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $100.

Lucky Lou

“Now I wait for a break in the silence ’cause it’s all that you left. Just me and these four walls again.” On my own. Hit by a car. Multiple broken bones and fractures and an internal injury too. You might think that it’s just too tall of an order. But SRT, like they always do, came to save the day! I’ve had my surgery and am looking for a forever home. I’m Lucky Lou – and I am lucky! I’m a male, black Shihtzu/poodle mix with natural ears and a natural tail. I’m just one year old and I weigh about eleven pounds. I have a wonderful, loving temperament and I’m really good at giving kisses! I love kids and I have experience. They get kisses too! I’m good with other dogs and I’m partial to small dogs or those just slightly bigger than me. I don’t do as well around big dogs. I bark at them like I’m the one in charge! I sleep in my crate all night! Unfortunately, the injuries from my meeting with the car have left me with permanent damage to some nerve endings and I’m a little incontinent.  I’m OK with a belly band and I sleep on a pad in my crate. I have such a sweet personality and I’m such a good boy. I just need that one home where my one issue isn’t a deal breaker. Maybe it’s you! Click the ‘Adopt’ tab, complete your adoption application an put me, Lucky Lou, as a dog of interest. My adoption fee is $400.
