Mamas (Spring,TX)

Meet sweet little Mamas, an 8-year-old, 8-pound salt-and-pepper Miniature Schnauzer with a heart full of love! Her family made the tough decision to surrender her when they realized they could no longer afford her care, but now Mamas is ready to find a new forever home where she can be cherished. Mamas is wonderful with children and gets along well with other gentle, non-alpha pups. She’s a true sweetheart who loves being pampered—she’s excellent during grooming and bath time and rides quietly and calmly in the car. Vet visits? No problem at all! One of Mamas’ favorite things in the world is curling up in her human’s lap for cozy snuggles. At night, she sleeps peacefully in her crate, making her a perfect companion for any household. If you’re looking for a loving, gentle little lady to brighten your days, ask for Mamas when you complete your application under the Adopt tab. She can’t wait to meet you! Adoption fee $300

Lincoln (Carrollton, TX)

Meet Lincoln, a handsome blue-eyed, 5-year-old, 18-pound Miniature Schnauzer with a stunning brown and cream merle coat! Recently surrendered to SRT, this charming guy is ready to find his forever home—and he’s got plenty of love and personality to share. Lincoln is a playful soul who absolutely adores games of fetch and tug-of-war. But when playtime winds down, nothing beats a good shoulder or neck rub—his favorite way to relax! At night, he’s the ultimate guardian, choosing to sleep at his foster’s feet to keep them safe and sound. This sun-loving pup can often be found soaking up rays, but he’s also quite the alert watchdog. He takes his job seriously and will let you know if he senses any “danger” (or what he thinks might be danger), so apartment living isn’t the best fit for him. Lincoln has a confident, alpha personality and would thrive as the only dog in the household. While he can get along with other dogs, he prefers being your one and only. He’s not a fan of dog parks, either—he likes his space! Stormy weather can be tough on Lincoln; rain, thunder, and lightning make him nervous, so he’ll need a cozy, safe spot to retreat to during storms. On the bright side, he loves going to the groomer and always behaves like a true gentleman—he likes to look his absolute best! Lincoln is crate-trained and knows how to use a doggy door. He’s also quite the smart cookie, mastering commands like sit, shake, and high five. And here’s the best part: every time you walk through the door, Lincoln will be there to greet you with a wagging tail and plenty of love to give. If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, and loving companion who will keep you on your toes (and your heart full), Lincoln just might be your perfect match! Ask for Lincoln when you complete your application under the Adopt tab. Adoption Fee $300

Jeremy (The Woodlands, TX)

Meet Jeremy 💛

Jeremy is an approximately 11-year-old, 13 lb.  Miniature Schnauzer who was found collapsed in a greenbelt, severely matted and malnourished. After no owners could be located, rescue stepped in to give this sweet senior a second chance. Jeremy has since received veterinary care, a dental cleaning, and a cardiology evaluation. Today, he’s healthy enough to focus on what matters most: learning that the world can be a safe place again. Jeremy is a gentle, sensitive soul who takes time to trust. A calm, patient, adult-only home will help him continue building confidence and settle in at his own pace. The wonderful news is that Jeremy has been making remarkable progress in foster care. In just a few weeks, he has gone from hiding in his bed most of the day to exploring the house, playing with toys, following his foster mom around, mastering the stairs, and confidently moving in and out through the sliding glass door. He’s even started joining the resident dog in neighborhood watch duties and reconnecting with his inner Schnauzer. 😄 Jeremy is also good with other dogs, house-trained and walks beautifully on a leash. While Jeremy still needs patience and understanding, we’re seeing more of his sweet, playful personality every day. For the right person, helping him continue this journey will be incredibly rewarding. If you think Jeremy might be the perfect addition to your family, ask for Jeremy when you complete your application under the Adopt tab. Adoption fee $200

Paloma (Houston, TX)

🐾 Meet Paloma 🐾

Paloma is a 6-month-old, about 10 lbs. (we think) bundle of puppy joy who is ready to fill her future family’s home with laughter, love, and plenty of adorable antics!  Her vetting is scheduled for Friday, June 12th where she will receive all of her puppy shots and be chipped.  She will be ready for adoption after June 12th.  This sweet little fluffball is always on the move. Whether she’s zooming around the yard, exploring new toys, or chasing her canine friends, Paloma approaches life with curiosity and enthusiasm. She is learning how to play and has quickly discovered that running around with friends is one of her favorite activities. While she’s still a little shy when the bigger dogs decide to chase her back, her confidence grows a little more every day. Paloma is already learning some important puppy skills. She knows how to use a dog door and is doing well with frequent potty breaks outside. Like any young puppy, she will need a family that is patient and committed to continuing her potty training as she learns the rules of her new home. When playtime is over, Paloma transforms into a cuddly little sweetheart who is happy to curl up for a nap and recharge for her next adventure. If you’re looking for a happy, playful puppy to grow up alongside your family, Paloma may be the perfect addition. She is ready to bring endless smiles, puppy kisses, and unconditional love to the lucky family that adopts her. Apply today under the Adopt tab to meet Paloma and prepare to fall in love! Nessie (Houston, TX)

Meet Little Nessie — a tiny survivor with a huge heart.

Nessie was found wandering the streets of Houston during bitterly cold weather, and a kind Good Samaritan stepped in just in time to save her. This brave little girl is about eight years old and now weighs a healthy nine pounds after lots of good meals and love in foster care. Nessie appears to have a little schnauzer in her mix and has recovered beautifully after having a non-cancerous mass removed. She is now healthy, happy, and ready for her forever home. She gets along well with other dogs, enjoys playing with toys, and even has a playful puppy friend in foster care. However, Nessie would likely love being the center of attention where she can soak up all the cuddles she deserves. Nessie is house-trained, knows how to use a doggy door, and loves curling up in her foster mom’s lap for cozy naps. She is gentle, affectionate, and ready to leave survival mode behind for a life filled with love and comfort. If you are looking for a sweet little companion and loyal lap dog, Nessie may be your perfect match. Be sure to ask for Nessie when you complete your application under the Adopt tab.  Her adoption fee is $300

Alexandria (Houston, TX)

Alexandria is a sweet, gentle girl with a calm and loving personality. She was rescued from a Houston shelter in need of immediate medical attention. She had surgery to remove bladder stones and has made a full recovery. She’s about eleven years old and weighs about twenty-three pounds.  She enjoys her daily walks, always happy and well-behaved—she’s never had an accident in the house! Whether snoozing in her cozy crate or relaxing on the couch, she loves her downtime. She’s a mostly quiet girl, but she’ll let you know when she’s ready to go out by giving a little bark. She does not react to other dogs on walks; she’s very easygoing and confident. While Alexandria isn’t clingy, she thrives on gentle petting and affection. She’s been through a lot and is still adjusting to her new life, making her a special, resilient soul. A little mischievous at times, she can be quick to dash out an open door.  She’s a wonderful, low-key companion looking for her forever home! Click the Adopt tab, complete your application and ask for Alexandria as a pup of interest. Her adoption fee is $200

Aristotle (Corpus Christi, TX)

Aristotle is a 1-year-old, female standard schnauzer mix who is about 33 lbs. She is shy meeting new people, but allowed handling and to be given her vaccines. Aristotle has a foster in Corpus Christi and her bio will be updated once we know more about her.

Quantum (Bastrop, TX

This young 1-year-old male was found as stray with no luck finding the owners. He’s about 34 lbs and is friendly and good with people and other dogs. Finder reports that he has the sweetest disposition they’ve ever seen. He wants to play with their dogs and just wants love and affection. He’s easy to love. He needs a foster. He tested positive for heartworm disease and has been started on medication. He did great for his grooming. Best guess on breed is some type of poodle mix. Approved fosters, if you can help, email SRT@SchnauzerRescueTexas.me or to apply to foster/adopt complete an application at this link https://schnauzerrescuetexas.me/adopt

Cullen (Baytown, TX)

Meet Cullen — a gentle little soul with the sweetest eyes and a heart full of devotion.  Cullen is a 5-year-old Schnauzer/Yorkie mix (with maybe a little something extra special!) who weighs about 13 pounds. This adorable boy is the definition of a one-person dog. Once he bonds with his person, he becomes their tiny shadow, faithfully following his foster mom everywhere to make sure she’s safe. It’s his way of loving you. Cullen may be shy at first, but with someone he trusts, he is incredibly affectionate and loyal. He gets along wonderfully with other pups and enjoys the simple joys in life — going for walks, riding in the car, and relaxing nearby while his person goes about their day. Grooming time around his head can make him a little nervous, but this brave boy does his very best. He just needs a gentle, patient touch and reassurance that everything is okay. Sadly, Cullen is afraid of men. We don’t know what caused this fear, but because of it, we believe he would thrive in a calm, all-female home with a kind, patient woman who will give him the time and understanding he deserves. In return, Cullen will give you a loyalty and love that runs incredibly deep. Those soulful eyes are just waiting to look up at the person he can finally call his own. If you think Cullen could be the little companion you’ve been searching for: Click the Adopt tab,  complete your application, ask for Cullen as your pup of interest Cullen’s adoption fee is $300, and he’s ready to find the loving home he’s been waiting for.

Marshal (LaPorte, TX)

Meet Marshal, a handsome 6-year-old, 17-pound salt-and-pepper Miniature Schnauzer with a heart as gentle as his sweet soul. He was rescued from a shelter where he was suffering from terrible skin issues caused by fleas. Thankfully, those pesky pests are gone, and Marshal is now on medication that’s helping his skin heal beautifully. His fur will grow back soon, and he’ll be looking as dashing as ever! Marshal’s foster can’t say enough about what a sweetheart he is—the gentlest pup she’s had the pleasure to care for. He’s calm, easy-going, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Whether it’s a car ride or a vet visit, Marshal handles everything with quiet grace and patience. This friendly guy has warmed the hearts of everyone he’s met and is ready to find a loving forever home where he can continue to thrive and share his gentle spirit. If you’re looking for a calm, loving companion who will bring endless joy and sweetness into your life, Marshal might just be the perfect match!  Ask for Marshal when you complete your application under the Adopt tab. Adoption fee $300

Fudge (Magnolia, TX)

Meet Fudge, a charming 9-year-old, 18-pound black male Miniature Schnauzer who just arrived at SRT and is ready to steal your heart! Fudge’s journey hasn’t been easy—he came from a backyard breeder and sadly missed out on the love and care every Miniature Schnauzer deserves. When he was surrendered, he was covered in mats and had severe dental issues, a very nasty ear infection and a skin infection. Thanks to some loving medical care, including medication for his ear and skin and a recent neutering, Fudge is on the road to recovery. What’s truly amazing is his sweet and gentle spirit—despite years without grooming, he was incredibly patient during his 3 hour grooming session. He’s also a calm and quiet car rider, content in his crate, and gets along well with other dogs. Fudge is currently looking for a loving foster home while SRT searches for his forever retirement home—a place where he can finally enjoy the comfort, care, and affection he’s always deserved. If you think you could be the special person to open your heart to Fudge, be sure to ask for him when you complete your application under the Adopt tab. Let’s help Fudge find the peaceful, loving life he’s been waiting for! Adoption fee $200

Sades (Shenandoah, TX)

Meet little Sadie, a 3-year-old, underweight at 6 lb. Yorkshire Terrier who was found on the streets of Houston. How this little one survived is a miracle. Sadly she tested positive for heartworm disease and will go through treatment to get rid of those nasty worms. In the meantime, she’s with a wonderful foster family getting lots of TLC. She’s a little shy and tends to find a nice comfy dog bed or rest inside the crate with the open door. She’s a bit nervous around the other pups. She’s learning the world can be a safe place. She should be ready for adoption around the end of July

Camila Rose and Family (Pearland, TX)

Camila Rose and her family arrived from the Rio Grand Valley on May 28. The mom and pups were surrendered by their family who had planned to take them to a shelter where the pups would not have survived. After numerous baths, their fleas are gone and they are nice and clean. There are 3 girls in the litter in the top row with mom, and 3 boys in the bottom row. Puppies are Vanessa Rose, Daniela Rose, Nina Rose, Benny Rose, Sonny Rose and Pete Rose. Puppies have started eating slushy food and are active little 1 to 2 lb babies. Momma Camila is a sweet pup and is taking good care of her babies. We’ll update the babies and mom as they continue to thrive  In a few weeks, the puppies will be weaned from Camila and she will need a foster home. The pups will be ready for adoption when they are 8 weeks. SRT will finalize their vetting (including spays/neuters at the appropriate time) with one of their approved vets.

Isley (Cleveland, TX)

Meet Isley, a charming 10-year-old, 20-pound salt-and-pepper Miniature Schnauzer who just arrived at SRT and is ready to steal your heart! Isley’s journey hasn’t been easy—he came from a backyard breeder and sadly missed out on the love and care every Miniature Schnauzer deserves. When he was surrendered, he was covered in mats and had severe dental issues, with many of his teeth falling out. But don’t worry—Isley is now the proud owner of five strong teeth and is eating just fine! Thanks to some loving medical care, including medication for a mouth infection and a recent neutering, Isley is on the road to recovery. What’s truly amazing is his sweet and gentle spirit—despite years without grooming, he was incredibly patient during his grooming session. He’s also a calm and quiet car rider, content in his crate, and gets along well with other dogs.  Isley has never met a stranger and loves to be with family. He will happily take all the attention. He prefers being on his two back legs but we redirect him to keep four paws on the floor.  He is very chill, but 100% schnauzer. While the neighbor dogs bark at the fence line but Isley does not join. However, he does use his voice when in the kennel, but settles down quickly.  He really is just a chill dude and wants to spend every second with his family, regardless of who is available. If you think you could be the special person to open your heart to Isley, be sure to ask for him when you complete your application under the Adopt tab. Let’s help Isley find the peaceful, loving life he’s been waiting for! Adoption fee $200

PS:  Who knew there was a handsome salt & pepper schnauzer under all those mats!

Keva (San Antonio, TX)

Meet Keva, a charming 12-year-old, 12-pound female Miniature Schnauzer who has just joined the SRT family. Her story is one many seniors and their beloved pets share—her owner brought her home as a puppy in her 70s, but now in her 80s, she can no longer provide the care Keva deserves. With no family able to step in, Keva is looking for a loving retirement home where she can enjoy her golden years in comfort and happiness. Despite her age, Keva is still a playful spirit! She’s house-trained and leash-trained, making her a wonderful companion for leisurely strolls and cozy days at home. She’s a pro at grooming and visits to the vet, handling both with grace and ease. Keva has mostly been an only dog but seems to get along well with other pups. As for cats—well, she finds them quite entertaining, especially when they dash by! For this reason, she’d do best in a home without feline friends. She would thrive in an all-adult household or one with older children—no toddlers, please. Recently, Keva had a dental cleaning, so her smile is sparkling bright and healthy! If you’re ready to open your heart and home to this sweet senior lady who still has plenty of love and playfulness to share, be sure to ask for Keva when you complete your application under the Adopt tab. Adoption fee $200

My new mom, Christina, adopted me and has promised to send updates. At SRT, it really was All About Me! Hugs – Stuart

Coop (San Antonio, TX)

Introducing Cooper a 9-year-old, 18 lb bundle of fun. He was rescued from a bad situation; however, the family has a cat and Cooper thinks they are fun to bark at and chase. They decided he wasn’t in the best home and contacted SRT to find him a home without a cat.  He’s a total lapdog and is fine with other dogs. As you can see, he enjoys toys and playtime. He’s crate and leash-trained. As more is learned about this little doll, we’ll update his bio. Ask for Cooper when you complete your application under the Adopt tab. Adoption fee $200

Pawsome (Dallas, TX)

Welcome Pawsome to SRT! This sweet 18-month-old, 20-pound salt-and-pepper Miniature Schnauzer arrived at the shelter in rough shape—completely matted and neglected by his family. They surrendered him, saying they had a cat and just didn’t have time for him anymore. Thankfully, a kind-hearted shelter worker gave him a much-needed shave-down, revealing the handsome boy underneath. Pawsome’s former owners shared that he lived with young children and absolutely adores kids! Reported that he is house and crate trained. While he didn’t get along well with the cat, he is loving and playful with other dogs. He can be a bit shy and skittish around strangers, and loud noises like the vacuum can startle him, but with patience and love, he’s sure to blossom. One thing’s for sure—Pawsome LOVES tennis balls and playtime is one of his favorite things! He’s currently settling in with a foster family who will be learning more about his personality and updating his story soon. If you’re looking for a gentle, playful companion who just needs a little extra TLC, Pawsome might be the perfect match! Ask for Pawsome when you complete your adoption application under the Adopt tab. Adoption fee $400

Zoey (Dallas, TX)

Meet Zoey, a sweet 1-year-old, 10-pound salt-and-pepper Miniature Schnauzer with a big personality! Zoey was surrendered by her family, but she’s ready to find a new home where she can truly shine. This affectionate little girl absolutely adores kids (even though her former owner’s child threw her off a bunkbed to another child breaking her leg. Her leg has healed now thankfully. No more tossing her around! Zoey does have a strong streak—she’s a resource guarder who prefers to keep her toys and food all to herself. Because of this, she needs an experienced dog owner who understands how to create a safe and balanced environment for everyone in the home. She’s both house and crate-trained and is thriving with her foster family, who have other pups and children. While she’s calm and cooperative at the vet, grooming can be a bit scary for her—those clippers make her nervous! With patience and gentle guidance, she’s learning to feel more comfortable. Zoey is looking for a confident, loving person who knows what it means to be the alpha in the home and can help her blossom into the best version of herself. If you think you’re the perfect match for this spirited sweetheart, be sure to ask for Zoey when you complete your application under the Adopt tab. Her adoption fee is $400.

** Adoption Pending ** Kaycee (Houston, TX)

Meet Kaycee, a sweet 8-year-old, 15-pound schnauzer mix with a heart full of resilience! Kaycee’s journey hasn’t been easy—her family surrendered her to a shelter after she got hurt jumping off their deck. They were sadly considering euthanasia because she couldn’t stand. But after a thorough vet check, we’re happy to share that Kaycee has no broken bones and is now up and walking just fine!  Following this hopeful news, SRT was contacted to help this brave girl find the loving care she deserves. Kaycee is a calm and gentle soul who gets along well with other dogs and enjoys a peaceful, low-key lifestyle. She’s a pro at grooming and bath time, and rides quietly in the car like a champ. Kaycee appears to be house and crate-trained, making her an easy addition to any home.  If you think you could be the special person to open your heart and home to Kaycee, be sure to ask for her when you complete your application under the Adopt tab. Marwin (Houston, TX)

Marwin, a 2-year-old, 17 lb Miniature Schnauzer was rescued from a shelter. Marwin is very affectionate and eager for the role of your new sidekick.  He may be a little shy at first, but warms up quickly with snuggles & ear scratches.   He loves to play with his stuffed animals and will catch a ball as well.  He’s already very good on a leash and will help you locate any sneaky squirrels in the vicinity.  He is not reactive to bikers or joggers out on walks, but is not a fan of loud trucks (who is). He has a super silky coat and the sweetest human-like brown eyes that will make you want to cuddle him up and give him a million nicknames.  He is very adaptable and fits in quickly to a new routine.  He loves play wrestling with his foster brother and is curious to meet other dogs and cats. We are not sure if he’s good with kids, but he is very affectionate with new people and can’t wait to find his forever home to start this new chapter of his life. Sadly, he was found to have heartworms after not receiving preventative care from his previous owners. The good news is that heartworms are very treatable, especially at his young age, and our vet expects him to make a full and speedy recovery.  Ask for him when you complete your application under the Adopt tab. Adoption fee $400

Mylo (Spring, TX)

I’m Mylo, a male white Miniature Poodle mix who is about three years old and weighs about eleven pounds with natural ears and tail. I was surrendered to SRT by my family as they had some changes in their situation and weren’t able to keep me any longer. There were children in my home and I did fine with them. But, to be honest, I can be a little nervous when being grabbed, so probably not a good idea to go to a family with  young kids. I was badly matted when I came to SRT as the “professional” groomer said I had to be sedated to finish my grooming. Well, my SRT volunteer did get me groomed. It wasn’t a fun time for me as I had to wear a muzzle, but we got thru it. I can now see out of my eyes! I’m actually not bad and if kept from being matted, I would probably do much better next time. Now the good stuff. I’m good with other pups, am house, crate trained and leash trained. I do like to be with my humans and am calm and tend to just nap. However, when I’m left alone, I voice my displeasure by barking, so no apartment living for me. Click the Adopt tab, complete your application and ask for me, Mylo, as a pup of interest. My adoption fee is $400

Boggie (Cypress, TX)

Boggie, is an adorable 4-year-old, 14 lb. schnauzer mix who came to SRT after he wandered into a random garage and made himself comfortable. He spent the night with his finder, who contacted us to take him into rescue. Boggie traveled without his papers, collar, tags or microchip. We’ve had no luck finding his owners, but in truth, he was badly matted and covered in fleas. He appears to be house-trained and has done well with other pups. He comes when called, but suspect he is an escape artist so will need a secure fenced yard. He did great with both his bath and grooming. Ask for Boggie when you complete your application under the Adopt tab. Adoption fee $400

Indy (Sugarland, TX)

Indy is an adorable doodle who is about 6 months-old and weighs about twenty-two pounds. Indy was pulled from a shelter after he was picked up as a stray. So far we know that he’s great with other pups and being groomed. His bio will be updated once his foster learns more about him. Ask for Indy when you complete your application under the Adopt tab. Adoption fee $600

Fenway (Houston, TX)

Fenway was traveling the rough streets of Houston until a Good Samaritan saved him from being hit by a car at a very busy intersection. He was not traveling with his papers, or collar and tag, and did not have a microchip. He’s headed to the vet for an exam, vaccines, and heartworm testing. So far, his foster knows he is kid-friendly, even with toddlers, and loves to play with other pups. He’s even good with the cat. He has a playful, loving personality. Once we know more about any health conditions, we’ll update his bio. Stay tuned for updates.

Pretty Lady (Houston, TX)

Meet Pretty Lady, a gentle 2-year-old sweetheart weighing 38 pounds who’s ready to find her forever home! Sadly, when her owner moved, they left her behind—but thanks to some kind-hearted Good Samaritans who fed her and reached out to us, SRT was able to rescue this amazing girl from the streets. Pretty Lady had a rough start, arriving with severe matting that required a full shave-down. But she handled her grooming session like a champ—calm, patient, and absolutely perfect during her bath and on the grooming table. At the vet, she was just as well-behaved, showing off her sweet and cooperative nature. This lovely lady has met several new pups and even a cat, all without a hint of drama—she’s truly a social butterfly! She seems to be house-trained and is overflowing with love and kindness. The only little quirk? She gets car sick, so car rides aren’t her favorite. But beyond that, she’s simply perfect. Pretty Lady is searching for a forever family who will cherish her and never leave her behind again. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to this incredible girl, be sure to ask for Pretty Lady when you complete your application under the Adopt tab.  Adoption fee $400

Escobar (Houston, TX)

Welcome Escobar to SRT. This boy is very playful,  loves toys, is fully house trained, good on a leash, perpetually wagging tail nub. He’s  great dog and will be headed to the vet this week to get checked out and all of his vaccines and heartworm test. Stay tuned for updates.

Sadly, Mochi’s family didn’t provide him heartworm prevention and although SRT treated him, his condition was too far advanced and he passed. RIP Mochi

Bowen (Houston, TX)

Meet Bowen, an adorable 11-pound bundle of fluff who’s probably mostly poodle with a little extra special something mixed in! Since leaving the scary shelter behind, Bowen has truly blossomed into the sweet, loving boy he was always meant to be. He’s a total snuggle bug and will happily become your loyal shadow—if you’re searching for a true lap dog, Bowen is your perfect match. Bonus: he absolutely loves curling up in a cozy Tempur-Pedic bed right alongside his humans! Bowen does have a few charming quirks. He’s a bit shy and nervous around strangers, especially on walks, where he might bark and then quickly hide behind his foster’s legs. Because of this, apartment living isn’t the best fit for him. But don’t worry—he adores other dogs and would be happiest with a furry playmate to romp with in a yard where he can burn off all that puppy energy. He’s both house trained and crate trained (though the crate isn’t his favorite spot), and through it all, Bowen remains one happy, joyful little guy. If you think Bowen could be the perfect addition to your family, just click on the Adopt tab, complete your application, and ask for this lovable pup by name. His adoption fee is $400.  Let Bowen bring endless love and laughter into your life!

Tessie (Houston, TX)

Meet Tessi 💕
Tessi is a 10-year old, twenty pound white Miniature Schnauzer who is a sweet, gentle little lady. She asks for very little and gives a lot of quiet companionship in return.  She came from a backyard breeder and was definitely neglected. Sadly, she has tested positive for heartworm disease, so she will need to go through treatment and won’t be available for adoption until mid July. Despite all of that, she has a calm, peaceful demeanor and is the kind of pup who’s simply happy being near you without demanding constant attention. If you’re looking for an easygoing companion who enjoys a cozy spot and a calm home, Tessi may be your girl. She’s quiet, well-mannered, and seems content with the simple things—comfort, safety, and a little love. Tessi would be a wonderful fit for someone wanting a lower-maintenance companion with a tender soul.  Her sweet spirit shines right through it. She deserves a soft landing with someone who sees how special she is and wants to help her feel her very best. Click the Adopt tab, complete your application asking for Tessie. Adoption fee $200

** Adoption Pending ** Bronco

Meet Bronco, a lovable 6-year-old, 12-pound mini Schnauzer who’s on the path to a new beginning! Rescued from a shelter along with several other pups believed to have been dumped by a backyard breeder, Bronco’s journey hasn’t been easy. He came into rescue battling a skin infection caused by the filthy conditions he endured, but his skin has healed beautifully, and his fur is looking 100% better—what a trooper!  Bronco also tested positive for heartworm disease, but don’t worry—he’s gone through treatment, and he’s handled it like a champ. This sweet boy is great with other pups, quiet and well-behaved in the house, and calm during medicated baths, grooming, and vet visits. Bronco is  ready to bring love and gratitude into your life—are you the one to help him start his next chapter? Ask for Bronco when you complete your application under the Adopt tab. ** Adoption Pending ** Swiffer

Meet Swiffer, a charming 5-year-old, 11-pound liver-colored Miniature Schnauzer with a heart as big as his personality! Swiffer’s family had to make the tough decision to surrender him because they couldn’t afford his care, but now he’s ready for a fresh start filled with love and happiness. Swiffer is house-trained and leash-trained, making him a wonderful companion for everyday life. While Swiffer is a little shy at first, he quickly bonds to new people. Per his former owners, he’s great with kids, gentle and patient, and gets along beautifully with other dogs—and even cats! Though his last grooming was a bit rough, requiring a full shave-down due to severe matting, Swiffer took it all in stride. He lost his signature Schnauzer beard and eyebrows, but don’t worry—they’ll grow back soon, and he’ll be looking dapper again in no time. He was nervous at the vet getting his vaccines and heartworm test, but with gentle talking, he did fine. The photos show both his fluffy past and his current look—just imagine the handsome pup he’ll be once his fur grows back! If you’re ready to welcome a sweet, resilient buddy into your life, ask for Swiffer when you complete your application under the Adopt tab. He can’t wait to meet you! Adoption fee $300

Livy (Humble, TX)

Livy is a brave and sweet 3-year-old terrier weighing just 18 lbs, who’s had a tough start to life living on the streets. Every day, a kind-hearted Good Samaritan spotted her while heading to work and couldn’t bear the thought of her getting hurt in the busy area. After patiently gaining her trust with food and water, they finally caught Livy and brought her safely to Schnauzer Rescue Texas. Since arriving, Livy has been to the vet and, as expected, was diagnosed with heartworm disease and some skin issues from flea infestations and life outdoors. But don’t worry—she’s had several refreshing baths and is now sparkling clean! She’s started on medication for both her skin and heartworms, and she’s on the road to recovery with a full treatment plan ahead. Livy is a little shy at first but absolutely melts when you give her belly rubs—her favorite! She gets along well with other dogs and seems to be crate trained, making her a wonderful companion in the making. Livy will be ready for adoption around the beginning of July, and she can’t wait to find a loving home where she can feel safe, cherished, and part of the family. Stay tuned for this sweet girl’s next chapter—and if you think you could be the perfect match for Livy, keep an eye out for updates! 💕🐾

** Adoption Pending ** Nils (Houston, TX)

Meet Nils 💙

Nils is 10-year old, 20 lb white Miniature Schnauzer who is the perfect mix of playful spirit and sweet companionship. He was rescued from a backyard breeder in horrible shape, but despite that history, this young man has a lively heart, but a beautifully calm way about him that makes him such an easy pup to adore. If you’re looking for a true Velcro dog, Nils is absolutely your guy. He loves being near his human at all times—following you from room to room like your most loyal little shadow and making sure at least one paw is touching you whenever possible. His love language? Physical affection. Belly rubs are at the top of his favorites list, and he’ll happily soak up every bit of love you’re willing to give. Click the Adopt tab asking for Nils as a pup of interest. Adoption fee $200

Dozer (Spring, TX)

Meet Dozer – A Brave Little Fighter Looking for a Healing Haven!

Say hello to Dozer, a handsome cream and apricot Miniature Poodle mix (with maybe a dash of Schnauzer!) who’s about one year old and weighs around 18 pounds. Dozer’s journey hasn’t been easy—he was found after being hit by a car, and when he arrived at the shelter, he couldn’t even stand. But this resilient boy didn’t give up! After just a few days, he was able to stand and take a few wobbly steps. X-rays showed that Dozer has a broken vertebra, but thankfully, his spinal cord wasn’t affected. He’s now on strict crate rest for about six weeks to let his back heal properly. Depending on how he progresses, he might need surgery to remove some bone fragments, but for now, he’s focused on recovery. When SRT rescued him, Dozer was extremely matted and in desperate need of some TLC. He spent hours on the grooming table getting all those mats carefully removed and enjoyed a much-needed bath. Through it all, Dozer was the sweetest, most patient pup—calm, compliant, and full of gentle spirit. Dozer has met several other dogs and gets along well with them. Right now, he’s looking for a special foster home where he can rest comfortably, take it easy, but still get gentle walks to keep his muscles strong during recovery. Could you be the kind heart to help Dozer heal and thrive? If you have a calm space and lots of love to give, Dozer would be forever grateful! Apply to foster/adopt Dozer under the Adopt tab. When ready, his adoption fee is $400
