** My New Family ** Alanna now Isabella

Our little girl is doing so great! We renamed her Isabella (formerly Alanna). She gets along great with our boys, has my husband TOTALLYwrapped around her little paw, and all the vets and techs at our veterinarian’s office fell in love with her when we took her for her first pup check-up with them! In fact, all of our friends and family who’ve met her have fallen in love. She is silly, affectionate, smart and above everything else – brave! She’s truly fearless, which causes Lance and I heart failure from time to time. LOL…. We are SO very blessed to have her as part of our family. We love her with all our hearts! At SRT, it really was All About Alanna!

** Adoption Pending ** Lily Valerie (San Antonio, TX)

Say hello to Lily Valerie, a spunky senior with so much love to give. She’s a lively 10-year-old, 14-lb Miniature Schnauzer who’s proving that age is just a number! This sweet girl has a zest for life — and a deep love for plush toys and tennis balls. If it squeaks or rolls, Lily’s ready to play! Lily came to SRT after her former owner couldn’t afford the medical care she needed. Once our vet team stepped in and started her on medications, the transformation was incredible — she’s full of pep and personality again! Here’s what makes Lily such a gem: She’s great on leash and loves walks (and car rides too!). She recently strolled around The Pearl and soaked up every bit of attention — she loved being admired! She eats well and takes her meds like a champ (especially when peanut butter is involved). Lily is a cuddle queen — she wants to be on your lap and will happily remind you if you forget! She’s likely house-trained, and would thrive with someone who works or stays home and can give her the love she craves. Lily Valerie may be a “senior,” but she’s playful, affectionate, and ready to fill your home with joy. She’s waiting for that special someone who will cherish her golden years as much as she’ll adore you. Click the Adopt tab,  complete your application, and ask for Lily Valerie — your loyal, loving lap buddy for life! Her adoption fee is $200

Chuckie (Glendale, NY)

Meet Chuckie  — a five-year-old, 25-pound liver and cream Miniature Schnauzer with movie-star looks and a personality to match. Chuckie is currently in New York state and, through no fault of his own, needs a new home. His owner is facing significant personal challenges and wants nothing more than to ensure Chuckie lands in the very best situation possible. This is a loving decision made with his happiness in mind. The good news? Chuckie is neutered, house-trained, and walks nicely on a leash. He does well with other dogs, though he tends to carry himself like a confident little gentleman — perhaps because he knows how handsome he is.  Cats are an unknown, and children make him nervous, so a calm, adult home would suit him best. At the groomer, Chuckie can be a bit shy and shaky at first, but with soothing words and a few treats, he relaxes. He’s been seeing the same groomer for three years, which speaks volumes about his consistency and care. His veterinarian follows fear-free practices, and Chuckie now does great at visits — no muzzle needed. His ideal home? One where someone is around most of the time — perhaps retired or working from home — so he can enjoy companionship, routine, and reassurance. Chuckie thrives when he feels secure and connected to his person. If you’re looking for a loyal, devoted companion who just wants stability and love, Chuckie may be your perfect match. Ask for Chuckie when you complete your application under the Adopt tab.

Bodie (Spring, TX)

Meet Little Bodie 🤍 — a tiny soul with a big heart. Bodie was found as a stray, and although he does have a microchip, every effort to reunite him with his owner—including phone calls and even a home visit—sadly led nowhere. Bodie is a toy poodle weighing a whopping three pounds and is estimated to be somewhere between six and ten years old. His microchip lists him as six, while the vet believes he may be closer to ten. He has mature cataracts and will be seeing an ophthalmologist once his overall health improves. The good news is that he is heartworm negative. Currently, Bodie is being treated for anemia, and once that’s resolved, he will be neutered. Despite everything he’s been through, he’s an absolute sweetheart. He does wonderfully with other dogs, is great during grooming, and lives for cuddling with his human. This adorable little fluff ball just wants warmth, comfort, and love. Bodie deserves a soft place to land and a forever home filled with patience and affection. His bio will be updated as his health continues to improve—but one thing is already certain: he’s incredibly special.

Snookie here, my family sent this update to SRT. Snookie is the absolute sweetest addition to our family. We love her so much already! She’s doing so well on a leash, and we’re training her for lots of walks around town. She’s a social butterfly! House training is a work in progress but it’s going well.  My husband works from home, so she has had very little time all alone, and when she does, she’s not a fan! She’s also lost 2 baby teeth and is feeling very spunky and chewy while she’s teething. We can’t get over how fun her personality is!  At SRT, it really was All About Me! Hugs – Snookie
