Say hello to sweet Karlie, an 8-pound bundle of courage with a story that will tug at your heartstrings. This little girl was left to roam the streets, and tragically, she was hit by a car. Did her previous owners rush her to the vet? Sadly, no. They waited two long weeks before surrendering her to a shelter — where her future took a hopeful turn. When rescue stepped in, they found Karlie unable to walk on her back right leg. Time had passed, and her bones were healing—but not the way they should. Without hesitation, SRT whisked her off to an orthopedic surgeon who performed surgery, implanting a plate and pins to set her leg right. Now, just two weeks post-surgery, Karlie is already showing amazing progress! She’s eager to play and keep up with the other pups, but she still has six more weeks of healing ahead. Though she’s a busy little girl with lots of energy, she also loves snuggling up close with her humans. Karlie is looking for a loving foster home where she can rest, recover, and get all the care she needs until she’s ready for adoption.
