Bella Doodle Dandy (Houston, TX)

I’m Bella Doodle Dandy a three year old white and red Aussie/Poodle mix who weighs about thirty three pounds. I just arrived to SRT and my foster describes me as very intelligent and an absolute sweetheart. I’m great on a leash, house trained and a friendly girl who goes with the flow. I don’t mind the cat or little dogs, but can be an alpha toward other larger female dogs. I’ve been around children and do fine with them. I would make a great family pet and I don’t  need a companion pup. I do become protective of my human and I have a high prey drive so probably best not to live with chickens or guinea pigs (or other rodents).  Click the Adopt tab, complete your application and ask for me, Bella Doodle Dandy, as a pup of interest. My adoption fee is $400

Pony (Tomball, TX)

I’m Pony, a male Miniature Poodle mix who is about one year old and weighs about fourteen pounds with natural ears and tail. I was living in Houston with 20 other pups and 7 cats. Our owner died and we were desperately in need of new homes.  I’m a bit timid but still like to be by your side. My foster mom describes me as sweet and loving and I do warm up quickly to new people. I like to lay beside my human on the couch and I sometimes help to clean the house.  I’m house and crate trained even though the crate isn’t my happy place. I love to play with a ball and other toys and am a curious boy. I’m good with kids, cats and dogs. Click the Adopt tab, complete your application and ask for me, Pony, as a pup of interest. My adoption fee is $400

Leto (Tomball, TX)

I’m Leto, a male Miniature Poodle mix who is about eighteen months old and weighs about eleven pounds with natural ears and tail who is full of love and affection. I was living in Houston with 20 other pups and 7 cats. Our owner died and we were desperately in need for new homes. My foster says I’m very loving and snuggly. She’s right, I just want to be with my human and am happy to do what you want. I’m house trained and crate trained and good with other dogs, cats and kids. The crate isn’t my favorite place, but sometimes I have to go in and wait for my human to come back. I love toys and to play fetch with a ball. I’ll stick by your side and be your loyal companion. Click the Adopt tab, complete your application and ask for me, Leto, as a pup of interest. My adoption fee is $400

** Adoption Pending ** Goose Berry (Houston, TX)

I’m Goose Berry, a male black lovely mix of Giant Schnauzer/Standard Poodle and maybe something else fine, like a Lab  who is about a year old and weighs about sixty-five pounds with natural ears and tail. I was rescued from a local shelter by a nice family who wanted to save my life but then realized that I was a big boy which means I need lots of space. I’m house, crate and leash trained — even though I do pull a bit. I have plenty of playful and protective energy to burn. If you’re ready for an adventure, I’m your guy.  At only a year old, I’m still a youngster, which means we can have lots of fun together! I’m a big fella, so I’m looking for a family who can keep up with my size – little ones may get knocked over because of my big paws and big hugs! I’ve been told I’m very smart, and my family says I’m sweet and loving, but you’ll have to come and meet me to see if it’s true! If you’re looking for a furry friend who’s athletic, playful, and lots of fun, then look no further! I used to go to daycare and had a great time with the other pups. My humans say I’m sweet, smart, playful and just love attention. No issues at either the vet or groomer. Click the Adopt tab, complete your application and ask for Goose Berry, as a pup of interest. My adoption fee is $400

Imogene (Richardson, TX)

Meet Imogene! She’s a lovely five year old female schnauzer mix who weighs about thirty pounds. She’s loyal and affectionate with her humans. Unfortunately she is fearful of toddlers, so needs an all adult home. She does fine with other dogs, hasn’t ever met a cat and enjoys playing with her humans and going on walks.  She’s house and leash trained. She’s looking for a forever home where she can be the center of attention and receive all the love and care she deserves. Click the Adopt tab, complete your application and ask for Imogene, as a pup of interest. Her adoption fee is $300

Howard (Cypress, TX)

I’m Howard, a male black Miniature Poodle mix (probably shih tzu so I’m a Shipoo) who is about a year old and weighs about ten pounds with natural ears and tail. I was rescued from a shelter and they told SRT I had been hit by a car with some minor injuries, like road rash and debrided tail wound. SRT immediately got me to a vet and they realized it was much more serious. I had a torn diaphragm and had emergency surgery to save my life. Happily the docs fixed me right up and even though I had a very large incision to make those repairs, I’ve had a non-eventful recovery. I love making new friends, whether they are human or canine. In fact, my foster parents say I’m great with other dogs and even cats! I love playing, running around, and exploring. I’m quite the little adventurer! I’m also a fan of a good cuddle and some peaceful downtime. Even though I had a bit of a rocky start in life, I’m now healthy, happy, and raring to go! I am ready to find my forever home. Could it be with you? Click the Adopt tab, complete your application and ask for me, Howard, as a pup of interest. My adoption fee is $400

Wifi (Tomball, TX)

I’m Wifi, a female Yorkshire Terrier mix who is about a year old and weighs about ten pounds with natural ears and tail. I was found and turned into a shelter and happily SRT pulled me and got me to a wonderful foster family. I’m a happy, playful active little girl. I absolutely love love love toys and laps. So far I haven’t met a stranger either human or canine and love to make new friends.  I’m  affectionate, playful, funny, friendly, and athletic – the whole package! I’m working hard on getting my house training certificate and am almost there. Click the Adopt tab, complete your application and ask for me, Wifi, as a pup of interest. My adoption fee is $400

Poet (Sugarland, TX)

I’m Poet, an adorable female black and white Miniature Schnauzer mix who is about a year old and weighs about twenty-four pounds with natural ears and tail. I was found as a stray and the nice people who helped me couldn’t find my owners. You see, I left home without my tags and papers. So, off to SRT I went when they said they would help find me a wonderful new home. I do have a tag and a microchip now. I’m an energetic and fun-loving girl who loves to play with other dogs, but I also am a total cuddle bug and will happily curl up on the couch with you. I’m house and crate trained now that I’m clean and flea-free, my coat is getting very health.  I’m an all-around great pup who will bring joy and laughter to your life.  Click the Adopt tab, complete your application and ask for me, Poet, as a pup of interest. My adoption fee is $400

Wynonna (Spring, TX)

I’m Wynonna a female red Miniature Poodle who is about four months old and weighs about seven pounds with natural ears and tail. So the story about how I ended up with SRT is that I was a Christmas gift for the kids. My family moved recently and left me behind in the yard. Luckily a neighbor got me before I starved to death. I’m a bit underweight, but I’m getting three squares a day and and will soon be just fine. Even though my first family wasn’t a good start to my life, I’m a happy girl who likes to play with toys and other dogs. I have the most fun running as fast as I can around the yard. I’m also good at cuddling with my humans. I had to be shaved down as I was very matted and I did great with my grooming and my bath. My house training is being evaluated. I’ve been quiet in the house, but I really don’t like to be left in the crate. I tend to bark for quite some time–so no apartment living for me. Click the Adopt tab, complete your application and ask for me, Wynonna as a pup of interest. My adoption fee is $600

Sgt Peppers (Dallas, TX)

I’m Sgt Peppers, a male salt and pepper Miniature Schnauzer who is about three years old and weighs about fifteen pounds with cropped ears and a docked tail. My owner had to surrender me to SRT because she had some family issues that required all of her attention. She wanted me to go to a great home. My new foster family knows that I’m  house, crate and leash trained and that I love children. I’m a bit nervous meeting new dogs and I really could care less about cats. I’m good being groomed and getting belly rubs.  Click the Adopt tab, complete your application and ask for me, Sgt Peppers, as a pup of interest. My adoption fee is $400

Moon (Katy, TX)

I’m Moon, a male white Miniature Poodle mix who is about a year old and weighs a skinny fifteen pounds with natural ears and tail. I was living in Houston with 20 other pups and 6 cats. Our owner died and we were desperately in need for new homes. SRT collected six of us and took us straight to the vet. We were all a little dirty and definitely need to see the vet to get our vaccines and to be fixed and treated for any issues. I’m with a wonderful foster family who are giving me lots of TLC. As you can imagine, I’m a little shy and skittish, but luckily they have another pup so I have made anew friend. I’ve had numerous baths and am now a nice white color.  As more is learned about me, my bio will be updated. Click the Adopt tab, complete your application and ask for me, Moon, as a pup of interest. My adoption fee is $400

Winston Duke (San Antonio, TX)

I’m Winston Duke a male salt and pepper Miniature Schnauzer who is about eight years old and weighs about twenty-six (hefty) pounds with natural ears and a docked tail. My mom contacted SRT to help find me a new home as she was no longer able to financially take care of me. I’m house and leash trained and love to play with other dogs. I’m good with kids too. I do fine with grooming and at the vet. My foster mom says I’m a total sweetheart and so easy. Click the Adopt tab, complete your application and ask for me, Winston Duke, as a pup of interest. My adoption fee is $300

Xandra (LaPorte, TX)

I’m Xandra, a female chocolate and cream merleMiniature Schnauzer who is about five years old and weighs about fourteen pounds with natural and a docked tail. I’m good with other dogs, being groomed and bathed.  I’m crate and leash trained and my house training certificate should be in the mail very soon. I’m a skittish girl, so I think my forever home should be an all adult one as I think the little kids would scare me too much. Once I know I can trust my human, I love to cuddle with them.  Click the Adopt tab, complete your application and ask for me, Xandra, as a  pup of interest. My adoption fee is $300

Beckett (Spring, TX)

I’m Beckett a chocolate male Schnauzer mix who is about three years old and weighs about twenty-four pounds with natural ears and tail. I was rescued by a Good Samaritan when I was probably dumped, but no one really knows. I’m a skittish boy but I did fine with my grooming, except I didn’t like those clippers around my head. I’m doing a little chilling right now, learning what it’s like to be clean and warm. I’ve been around several pups and am doing well with them. I was a little nervous at first. As more is learned about me, my bio will be updated. Click the Adopt tab, complete your application and ask for me, Beckett, as a pup of interest. My adoption fee is $400

Artoo Dogtoo (Katy, TX)

I’m Artoo Dogtoo, and I’m just about the cutest thing around. I’m a young fella, about three years old, and I weigh about 20 pounds. Maybe you could call me a Schnauzer-shaped cookie, with my salt and pepper fur and my cute little natural ears and tail? I’ve had a bit of a rough go of it, but I’m ready to find my new home and have some fun! You see, I was found in a shelter, not feeling so well. I had an upper respiratory infection, but lucky for me, the nice folks at the vet took me in and gave me the care I needed. They told me I was quiet and well-behaved, and that I got along with the other dogs there – I even liked the cat! It was scary at first, but then I met my foster parents, and they took good care of me while I waited to find you. I’ve been getting used to a home environment, and I think I’ve got the hang of it! I’ve learned to be crate trained, and I’m as quiet as can be while I’m in there. They tell me I’ve done a good job learning how to behave like a good housemate, and soon I’ll have this whole house training thing down, too. They even let me hang out with some other dogs, and I enjoy playtime and toys. I was groomed and did fine, even though I would wiggle some and lay down on the table. Belly rubs are the best! If interested in meeting me, click the Adopt tab, complete your application and ask for me, Artoo Dogtoo as a pup of interest. My adoption fee is $400

Satin (Houston, TX)

I’m Satin, a female salt and pepper Miniature Schnauzer who is about two years old and weighs about thirteen pounds with natural ears and a docked tail.  I probably wouldn’t do well in an apartment as I tend to bark when I hear strange noises. Sometimes just some stuff on TV. I’m good with children over eight years old, but the young toddlers do scare me, so I’d prefer not to share a home with them. I’m house and crate trained and good being groomed and handled.  Click the Adopt tab, complete your application and ask for me, Satin, as a pup of interest. My adoption fee is $400

Sherman Bandera (San Antonio, TX)

I’m Sherman Bandera, a senior male salt and pepper Miniature Schnauzer who weighs about twenty pounds with natural ears and a docked tail. I was just rescued from a shelter and am with a foster. I’ll be headed to the vet soon to get checked out, neutered and whatever else I might need. I’m a friendly boy and good with other pups. As more is learned about me, my bio will be updated. Click the Adopt tab, complete your application and ask for me, Sherman Bandera, as a pup of interest. My adoption fee is $200

Clementine (San Antonio, TX)

I’m Clementine, a female salt and pepper Miniature Schnauzer who is about five years old and weighs about eighteen pounds with natural ears and tail. I was found as a stray way down south and was happy to end up with a foster with SRT. I did test positive for heartworm disease and have been treated and ready for adoption. I’m house and crate trained (my safe place) and mostly a quiet low key kind of girl. I’m good around children and other dogs. My favorite human is the house is the nine year old human sister–we enjoy playing together. I haven’t been around cats, but my foster mom doesn’t think I would chase them or even care they are there.  I would do well in a calm environment as I get anxious when there’s a lot of loud noises. Another calm canine in the home would be nice as I learn what it’s like to live in a home and to be well loved and cared for.  I like to stay close to my humans, but I’m hand shy. I do love to go on walks and am well behaved around other leashed pups. My foster mom says I’m a sensitive soul. Click the Adopt tab, complete your application and ask for me, Clementine, as a pup of interest. My adoption fee is $300

Gerald (Montgomery, TX)

I’m Gerald a male white and brown Miniature Schnauzer who is about ten years old and weighs about twenty-one pounds with natural ears and tail. Sadly in my senior years I ended up in a shelter and was definitely in need of some TLC. I scored a great foster home and have been getting lots of snuggle time and enjoy hanging out with my foster dad watching the games. My foster family describe me as a sweet and gentle guy. My hobbies include sleeping through the night, morning naps, snuggles, afternoon naps, and exploring the back yard with my foster dog siblings. Although I’m nearly blind, I’m a curious guy and sometimes run into things, but I’m a quick learner though so I know to  avoid known hazards like stairs. I’m house trained as long as you listen when I tell you it is time for an outdoor break. I’m getting a dental and “fixed” and will be ready for adoption. Click the Adopt tab, complete your application and ask for me, Gerald, as a pup of interest.

Abby (LaPorte, TX)

I’m Abby, a female black and white Miniature Schnauzer mix who is about ten years old and weighs about twenty-eight pounds (yes I’m on a diet) with natural ears and tail. I was found on the hot streets of Gainesville dodging cars and a nice lady picked me up. I love to play and would probably do well with children. However, I never learned to take treats nicely, so best if I’m not with young children. I get along fine perfectly fine with other pups –even do well with ones that don’t like dogs. I’m good being groomed and at the vet. She describes me as wonderful. I’m not timid or shy and will share attention. I enjoy running in the yard. I’m house and leash trained and well behaved. Apartment living probably wouldn’t work for me as I tend to bark some when left in a crate when my foster leaves. But if left loose in the house, I’m quiet and I’m not destructive so no need for the crate.  Click the Adopt tab, complete your application and ask for me, Abby, as a pup of interest. My adoption fee is $200

Kylie (Spring, TX)

I’m Kylie, a female salt and pepper Miniature Schnauzer who is about ten years (or more)and who weighs about sixteen pounds with natural ears and docked tail. I was surrendered to SRT and taken to the vet. I’m a very sweet girl who does fine with other dogs and being groomed. I’m quiet and calm and since I’m a senior girl, just need a comfy bed so I can nap. I am blind and deaf, but do learn the house and get around ok. I was anemic and will be retested in a few weeks, but in the meantime, I just need a retirement home so I can live out my days in comfort. I nice soft doggie bed is perfect.
