SRT took me in and I spent some time getting groomed. I did fine with that–mostly just laid on the grooming table and even did good getting my inch long nails trimmed. I know long nails are the in thing now, but honestly it makes it hard for me to walk.  I’m good with other pups and appear to be house trained with a dog door and crate trained. I’m Mamba a black male Miniature Schnauzer mix who is about a year old and weighs about thirteen pounds with natural ears and tail. I just arrived to San Antonio from Odessa and am with a  nice foster family while SRT looks for my forever home. I was so matted, that I had to be shaved down, but don’t worry, my beard will grow back.  I was lucky though as I ended up at a really nice Foster Creek Vet and they took great care of me. I had to have surgery to remove a bladder stone and I’m feeling so much better. I’ll need to stay on some RX food so I don’t get any more stones in the future. I’m good with other pups and even cats. I’m Artoo Dogtoo, and I’m just about the cutest thing around. I’m a young fella, about three years old, and I weigh about 20 pounds. Maybe you could call me a Schnauzer-shaped cookie, with my salt and pepper fur and my cute little natural ears and tail? I’ve had a bit of a rough go of it, but I’m ready to find my new home and have some fun! You see, I was found in a shelter, not feeling so well. I had an upper respiratory infection, but lucky for me, the nice folks at the vet took me in and gave me the care I needed. They told me I was quiet and well-behaved, and that I got along with the other dogs there – I even liked the cat! It was scary at first, but then I met my foster parents, and they took good care of me while I waited to find you. I’ve been getting used to a home environment, and I think I’ve got the hang of it! I’ve learned to be crate trained, and I’m as quiet as can be while I’m in there. They tell me I’ve done a good job learning how to behave like a good housemate, and soon I’ll have this whole house training thing down, too.
