My mom, Tina,  adopted me and sent this update. She has proven to be a top-notch digger. She tunneled out a few times last week. I’ve nicknamed her El Chapo lol. She has opened up and bonded so well with Ling. She loves carrots and pumpkin puree. She’s becoming more vocal and playful. I absolutely love her. At SRT, it really was All About Me! Hugs – Alaska

Wishes

I brought Wishes home on October 11, 2015. Along with Prissy, as she is very shy and had a hard beginning, so I thought she needed an upbeat, energetic friend. Wishes was that, and more. He loved absolutely everyone, except Max, the big, black German shepherd down the block!  He always had time for snuggles or snacks, even if it interfered with guarding the street from the window. Walk time was his favorite time of the day. The vet and the groomer, let’s go, unlike Prissy, she’d rather stay home. Two weeks after a visit to his loving vet, February 28, 2025 and a clean bill of health, he and Prissy and Daddy were attacked on a perfect afternoon and, being the defender of his family he was, he sacrificed himself to 3 attacking pit bulls so daddy could escape with Prissy. Mom’s heart, along with all the rest of the family’s is broken. Thanks to some great neighbors, he was found where the pits left him and taken to the vets where dad was able to go and be with him at the end and mom FaceTime and say goodbye. We miss our little guy who didn’t bark, but roo-roo’d, gave endless kisses and whose curly tail was always wagging. RIP Wishes

We sadly lost Chex due to multiple medical conditions affecting is bladder, spleen and liver. It was too much for this sweet boy to overcome. RIP in Chex.

I’m with my  mom, Lindsay, knew I would be a wonderful addition to the home, but Spatzle, the other schnauzer thought life was better with one schnauzer in the house. Mom hired a trainer so Spatzle wouldn’t feel threatened by a new pup in the home. He likes me now and things have been extraordinarily better and everyone is so happy and content.
