** Adoption Pending ** Trapper (Houston, TX)

Y’all, my name is Trapper. I’m a three-year-old, sixteen-pound boy, and I have been through some rough times! I’d feel a whole of better if someone could foster me.  Recently, my sibling and I made a daring escape from our extremely neglectful owners. We felt the breeze in our hair and could taste the freedom until that unfortunate moment, when we ran right into animal control. Hunkered down at BARC, we braved the unknown and prayed our terrible family would be too lazy to come get us. We had a doggie bone cheer when our prayers came true until my sibling got adopted. Scared and alone, I almost gave up hope, but then SRT came and liberated me. I have since been bathed, buzzed down (my coat is beautiful, but unfortunately, I was a matted mess), given prevention, and a great meal. I’ve since been neutered and have all of my vaccines.  I was a champ throughout all that and am getting along super well with other dogs. Unfortunately, I need to kick some pesky heartworms before I have a clean bill of health. SRT covers this, but I need a foster to help.  If you can foster (or want to foster to adopt) me and have yet to apply you can do so at www.schnauzerrescuetexas.me. Approved fosters can reach out to srt@schnauzerrescuetexas.me and let the coordinators know you are willing.
