Rylee (Nederland, TX)

Meet the sweet and tender Rylee, a fragile little Poodle who, at just 5 to 7 years old, weighs a mere 7 emaciated pounds. This tiny soul was discovered lying alone in the street, barely clinging to life, before a compassionate Good Samaritan brought her to a local shelter. It was there that the unfortunate truth was revealed—the reality of her suffering was far worse than anyone could have imagined. Rylee is facing a battle for her life, grappling with multiple pelvic fractures likely caused by a vehicle that carelessly left her for dead. Her tiny body was matted and caked with dirt, her skin riddled with fleas, and teeming with intestinal parasites. As if that weren’t enough, she is also suffering from heartworm disease, a heart-wrenching indication of neglect and abandonment. After being rescued, Rylee received some much-needed love on the grooming table, where the knots and mats that had become her prison were gently removed. She had a soothing bath that helped wash away some of her suffering, preparing her for the medical care she so desperately needs. A devoted volunteer then transported her from Spring to Nederland, so Dr. Hanson could examine her fragile little body. Rylee is scheduled for surgery on Monday—a crucial step toward her recovery, and Dr. Hanson is hopeful that she can heal without suffering long-term issues. However, her surgery comes with a hefty price tag of $2,500, and that’s just the beginning. Afterward, Rylee will need to undergo spaying, dental work, and heartworm treatment, all essential to give her the chance at the happy life she so deserves. This tiny warrior needs us now more than ever, and your kindness can make a world of difference. Every donation, no matter how small, will bring Rylee one step closer to healing and a brighter future filled with love and warmth. Please consider supporting her journey; together, we can help Rylee reclaim her life. Thank you for your compassion!
