Meet Nils 💙

Nils is 10-year old, 20 lb white Miniature Schnauzer who is the perfect mix of playful spirit and sweet companionship. He was rescued from a backyard breeder in horrible shape, but despite that history, this young man has a lively heart, but a beautifully calm way about him that makes him such an easy pup to adore. If you’re looking for a true Velcro dog, Nils is absolutely your guy. He loves being near his human at all times—following you from room to room like your most loyal little shadow and making sure at least one paw is touching you whenever possible. His love language? Physical affection. Belly rubs are at the top of his favorites list, and he’ll happily soak up every bit of love you’re willing to give. Click the Adopt tab asking for Nils as a pup of interest. Dozer (Spring, TX)

   

Meet Dozer – A Brave Little Fighter Looking for a Healing Haven!

Say hello to Dozer, a handsome cream and apricot Miniature Poodle mix (with maybe a dash of Schnauzer!) who’s about one year old and weighs around 18 pounds. Dozer’s journey hasn’t been easy—he was found after being hit by a car, and when he arrived at the shelter, he couldn’t even stand. But this resilient boy didn’t give up! After just a few days, he was able to stand and take a few wobbly steps. X-rays showed that Dozer has a broken vertebra, but thankfully, his spinal cord wasn’t affected. He’s now on strict crate rest for about six weeks to let his back heal properly. Depending on how he progresses, he might need surgery to remove some bone fragments, but for now, he’s focused on recovery. When SRT rescued him, Dozer was extremely matted and in desperate need of some TLC. He spent hours on the grooming table getting all those mats carefully removed and enjoyed a much-needed bath. Through it all, Dozer was the sweetest, most patient pup—calm, compliant, and full of gentle spirit. Dozer has met several other dogs and gets along well with them. Right now, he’s looking for a special foster home where he can rest comfortably, take it easy, but still get gentle walks to keep his muscles strong during recovery. Could you be the kind heart to help Dozer heal and thrive? Our little girl is doing so great! We renamed her Isabella (formerly Alanna). She gets along great with our boys, has my husband TOTALLYwrapped around her little paw, and all the vets and techs at our veterinarian’s office fell in love with her when we took her for her first pup check-up with them! In fact, all of our friends and family who’ve met her have fallen in love. She is silly, affectionate, smart and above everything else – brave! She’s truly fearless, which causes Lance and I heart failure from time to time. LOL…. We are SO very blessed to have her as part of our family. We love her with all our hearts! Say hello to Lily Valerie, a spunky senior with so much love to give. She’s a lively 10-year-old, 14-lb Miniature Schnauzer who’s proving that age is just a number! This sweet girl has a zest for life — and a deep love for plush toys and tennis balls. If it squeaks or rolls, Lily’s ready to play! Lily came to SRT after her former owner couldn’t afford the medical care she needed. Once our vet team stepped in and started her on medications, the transformation was incredible — she’s full of pep and personality again! Here’s what makes Lily such a gem: She’s great on leash and loves walks (and car rides too!). She recently strolled around The Pearl and soaked up every bit of attention — she loved being admired! She eats well and takes her meds like a champ (especially when peanut butter is involved). Lily is a cuddle queen — she wants to be on your lap and will happily remind you if you forget! She’s likely house-trained, and would thrive with someone who works or stays home and can give her the love she craves. Lily Valerie may be a “senior,” but she’s playful, affectionate, and ready to fill your home with joy. Bodie (Spring, TX)

       

Meet Little Bodie 🤍 — a tiny soul with a big heart. Bodie was found as a stray, and although he does have a microchip, every effort to reunite him with his owner—including phone calls and even a home visit—sadly led nowhere. Bodie is a toy poodle weighing a whopping three pounds and is estimated to be somewhere between six and ten years old. His microchip lists him as six, while the vet believes he may be closer to ten. He has mature cataracts and will be seeing an ophthalmologist once his overall health improves. The good news is that he is heartworm negative. Currently, Bodie is being treated for anemia, and once that’s resolved, he will be neutered. Despite everything he’s been through, he’s an absolute sweetheart. He does wonderfully with other dogs, is great during grooming, and lives for cuddling with his human. This adorable little fluff ball just wants warmth, comfort, and love. Bodie deserves a soft place to land and a forever home filled with patience and affection. His bio will be updated as his health continues to improve—but one thing is already certain: he’s incredibly special.
