I’m Lake a female white and black Miniature Schnauzer mix who is about eighteen months old and weighs about seventeen pounds with natural ears and tail. So here’s the deal on how I ended up with SRT. I got hit by a car–I know I know I should have looked both ways. Anyway, a Good Samaritan grabbed me and took me to another rescue group, but the couldn’t help so they asked SRT to take me. I immediately got a ride to the VERGI 24/7 ER hospital where I spent a few days getting lots of pain meds and x-rays. Turns out I have multiple fractures to my ilium and pelvis. My next trip was to Neighborhood Vet Center in Nederland so Dr. Hanson could do surgery on the ilium. I’m now with a foster and will be getting lots of crate rest while I heal. I’m standing already and wagging my tail. Stay tuned for updates as I get better and my fur comes back in!
