Hope (Spring, TX)

Welcome, Hope, a seven-month-old, seven-pound male Miniature Schnauzer. Hope came to SRT from a breeder when he was diagnosed with a liver shunt. He had a CT scan, which confirmed the liver shunt. The cost of this test is$1800.  He had surgery on 2/9/26 to repair the shunt, which was $2,300. Unfortunately, his incision opened, and he had to go to the emergency vet on 2/14 to be restitched at a cost of $2099.  He will go back to the vet in a few weeks to have another bile acid test run to see how his liver is adjusting. He’s been doing great, though and acting like a puppy–zoomies are a favorite thing and playing with other pups. Hope is house and crate-trained and is great being bathed and groomed. Donations for his care are appreciated via ZELLE (Schnauzer & Friends Rescue)  or VENMO (Schnauzer Rescue of  Texas) using SRT@SchauzerRescueTexas.me
