My  new family are so special to me. They didn’t need a  perfect young dog, but instead picked me. I’m a senior  who is a  bit  hard of  hearing and I  have bad disc in my back, but they didn’t care. I love to follow them around and curl up  and watch them from my  nice comfy bed. I’m doing so  much better after being attacked by that mean dog. My new mom is Melissa and she’s a veterinarian and I’ll get  free health  care for the rest of my l ife. I made it to my  new home in New Jersey and the  best news of all–they have squirrels here too and I love chasing them. My new dad said I’m sweet, affectionate, playful, laid back, and exceptionally house trained. My parents are theatre people  so they  come  home late a night and  I let them sleep  in the next morning and don’t disturb them and that makes the especially  happy.  At SRT, it really was All About  Me! COVID 19 didn’t stop my new family from adopting me. I have a whole family to play with me and cuddle. My dad, Donald, says  I’m amazing  and just perfect. I made it to my new home in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and in quarantine with my mom, Judy. I’ve been told I need to be a Steeler’s fan–it’s a big thing up here. I’m so lucky to have my mom, who is helping me overcome my fear of well just about everything. We go on nice walks and I  enjoy cuddling with  mom on the couch. At SRT, it really was All About Me! Honestly I  was petrified when  SRT first rescued me from the shelter. I was so  scared, I couldn’t even walk in a leash, I just  went flat on the  ground. But you know what, a really  nice  foster  family took me in and I  learned that people can be sweet.  Now I  have my forever family.  I  go on walks now every  day with my new family  and love them.  At  SRT, it really was  All  About  Me! I may have  been a  stray in Houston, but  my travels weren’t over. I’m now living  with my new  family  in  Harrisburg,  PA. Wow  what a  change in  scenery. Mom and Dad said I’m actually a godsend being the ultimate stress reliever in  these times. I  get to  go on several walks a day  when it’s nice out  and  of course practicing social distancing. I had a rough time before coming to SRT, but I was so lucky to  have a wonderful foster home with Carly and Jason who took  excellent care of me when I had surgery  to remove all of my  teeth. I  had some bone damage which the doctors now say to  leave  as is.  My new mom and dad don’t care that my tongue hangs out of  my  mouth without any  teeth to  keep it in.
