Tiny in size but enormous in spirit, Zuch is an adorable 8-month-old, 5-pound black-and-white parti Miniature Schnauzer with natural ears, a docked tail, and the heart of a true fighter. Zuch’s story could have ended in tragedy. After being thrown down a flight of stairs and then accidentally landed on by a child, this tiny puppy suffered two broken front legs. Because the extensive orthopedic surgery he needed was beyond what his owners could afford, they asked their veterinarian to euthanize him. Thankfully, the veterinary team knew this little boy deserved a chance. They contacted Schnauzer Rescue Texas, and everything changed. Zuch underwent complex surgery on July 14, where orthopedic specialists repaired both front legs using plates and pins. Now he’s resting comfortably and beginning the next phase of his journey—healing. His recovery is expected to take about five weeks, after which he’ll be ready to find the forever family he’s always deserved. Even after everything he’s been through, Zuch hasn’t let his difficult past define him. He’s a happy, loving little guy who simply wants to be close to his people. He gets along well with other dogs, handled grooming like a champ, and impressed everyone at both veterinary hospitals with his sweet, trusting nature. If all continues to go as planned, Zuch should be ready for adoption around mid-August. We know his perfect family is out there—one that will give him the love, safety, and lifetime of happiness he has always deserved. Sometimes the smallest dogs have the biggest hearts, and Zuch is living proof. Ask for Zuch as your Pup of Interest when you complete your application under the Adopt tab. Adoption Fee: $600
