Welcome Pawsome to SRT! This sweet 18-month-old, 20-pound salt-and-pepper Miniature Schnauzer arrived at the shelter in rough shape—completely matted and neglected by his family. They surrendered him, saying they had a cat and just didn’t have time for him anymore. Thankfully, a kind-hearted shelter worker gave him a much-needed shave-down, revealing the handsome boy underneath. Pawsome’s former owners shared that he lived with young children and absolutely adores kids! Reported that he is house and crate trained. While he didn’t get along well with the cat, he is loving and playful with other dogs. He can be a bit shy and skittish around strangers, and loud noises like the vacuum can startle him, but with patience and love, he’s sure to blossom. One thing’s for sure—Pawsome LOVES tennis balls and playtime is one of his favorite things! He’s currently settling in with a foster family who will be learning more about his personality and updating his story soon. If you’re looking for a gentle, playful companion who just needs a little extra TLC, Pawsome might be the perfect match!
