My owner was senior and no longer able to care for me so a nice lady got me and contacted SRT to find me the perfect home. I am a friendly boy and have just arrived to SRT so they don’t know a lot about me yet. I am good with other dogs and with grooming and bathing. If you are looking for a companion like me, please consider adopting me so I can have the loving home I deserve. Queso (Spring, TX)

My name is Queso and I am a young female Miniature Schnauzer mix with natural ears and tail who weighs about eleven pounds and is about two years old.  I was found on the streets down in the valley and was with a boxer who unfortunately was hit and killed by a car. Luckily I was saved from the same fate and the finder contacted SRT to find my perfect new home. I’m underweight and am getting extra groceries at my foster home. I did get groomed and bathed and was very good. I follow my foster mom around and love attention. I’m good with other pups and have been quiet in my crate.  If you are looking for a companion like me, please consider adopting me so I can have the loving home I deserve. Crismas Dior (Spring, TX)

I’m Crismas Dior a male liver and sable Miniature Schnauzer who is about a year old and weighs about eighteen pounds with natural ears and a docked tail. My mom has some health issues and is moving out of state, so she contacted SRT to find me a great home.  I’m a friendly guy who enjoys playing with other pups. I am a bit leash reactive and love to bark at other dogs on my walks. I have a playful loving personality and am good at both the groomer and the vet. I’m scheduled for something called a snip surgery and after that will be ready for adoption. Click the Adopt tab, complete your application and ask for me, Crismas Dior, as a pup of interest. My adoption fee is $400

Goose Berry (Houston, TX)

I’m Goose Berry, a male black Giant Schnauzer/Standard Poodle/Lab mix (maybe) who is about a year old and weighs about sixty pounds with natural ears and tail. I was rescued from a  local shelter by a nice family who wanted to save my life. I’m house, crate and leash trained and very friendly towards humans. I love kids too, but since I’m so big and tend to still jump, probably best to have older kids so I don’t knock the littles over. I get to go to daycare and have a great time with the other pups. I’m also good around cats. My humans say I’m sweet, smart, playful and just love attention. No issues at either the vet or groomer. Click the Adopt tab, complete your application and ask for Goose Berry, as a pup of interest. My adoption fee is $400

Kenna (Spring, TX)

I’m Kenna, a female white and blonde Miniature Schnauzer mix who is about eleven pounds and eighteen months old with natural ears and tail.  SRT was contacted by the shelter where I ended up because I was injured. They took me to the orthopedic surgeon and I had something called a femoral head osteotomy. Big words for removing the head of my one femur since it was broken. I also had a very large hernia repaired and the vet was amazed I survived my collision with whatever hit me. I can’t remember, but it was more than likely a car. I’m recovering well and getting lots of cuddle time with my foster. Sadly, I also tested positive for heartworm disease and will start treatment at the end of November and should be ready for adoption in time for Christmas. I’m house and crate trained and am a quiet girl who loves kids and playing with my stuffed animals.  My name should have been lapdog because I LOVE being held by my foster and taking naps. Click the Adopt tab, complete your application and ask for me, Kenna, as a pup of interest.  My adoption fee is $400

Tooties (Houston, TX)

I’m Tooties, a female white Miniature Schnauzer mix who is about a year old and weighs about eight pounds with natural ears and tail. I was surrendered by my family because of a move and I was so scared at first with the change. Now, I’m doing fine with my foster and even got a bath and a haircut. I have some hair loss due to flea dermatitis but I’ve had prevention now and am headed to the vet for my vaccines and heartworm testing. Once my health status is known, my bio will be updated. I’m fine with other pups  and was fine being groomed. Click the Adopt tab, complete your application and ask for me, Tooties, as a pup of interest. My adoption fee is $400

Clementine (San Antonio, TX)

I’m Clementine, a female salt and pepper Miniature Schnauzer who is about five years old and weighs about eighteen pounds with natural ears and tail. I was found as a stray way down south and was happy to end up with a foster with SRT. I did test positive for heartworm disease and have been treated and ready for adoption. I’m house and crate trained (my safe place) and mostly a quiet low key kind of girl. I’m good around children and other dogs. My favorite human is the house is the nine year old human sister–we enjoy playing together. I haven’t been around cats, but my foster mom doesn’t think I would chase them or even care they are there.  I would do well in a calm environment as I get anxious when there’s a lot of loud noises. Another calm canine in the home would be nice as I learn what it’s like to live in a home and to be well loved and cared for.  I like to stay close to my humans, but I’m hand shy. I do love to go on walks and am well behaved around other leashed pups. My foster mom says I’m a sensitive soul. Click the Adopt tab, complete your application and ask for me, Clementine, as a pup of interest. My adoption fee is $300

Abias (Spring, TX)

I’m Abias, a female black Miniature Schnauzer who is about three years old and weighs about ten pounds with natural ears and a docked tail. I was found as a stray and the finder had no luck in finding my former owners. They turned to SRT to help me and I’m now in Houston and have been to the vet and am ready for my forever home. I’m a sweet girl and a good car rider. I do fine around other pups. I’m a pretty calm girl and enjoys snuggling. Click the Adopt tab, complete your application and ask for me, Abias, as a pup of interest. My adoption fee is $400

Harley Gil (Amarillo, TX) — applications closed

I’m Harley Gil, a male liver and cream Miniature Schnauzer who is about eight years old and weighs about twenty pounds with natural ears and a docked tail. My owner was a senior and he’s no longer able to care for me. Family members contacted SRT to find me a wonderful home. I house and leash trained and am wonderful with children. I love to play with toys and other pups. I’ve been exposed to cats in my temporary home and I do fine them interesting, but we haven’t been allowed to play. I get high marks at both the groomers and vet. I’m described as having a sweet personality with a submissive easy going way about me. Click the Adopt tab, complete your application and ask for me, Harley Gil, as a pup of interest. My adoption fee is $300

Tatiana (San Antonio, TX)

I’m Tatiana a black female Miniature Schnauzer mix who is about six years old and weighs about ten pounds with natural ears and tail. I was rescued from a shelter way down in south Texas. I had what is called a microphthalmia which is a malformed eye and the dog doctor thought it should be removed as it looked like it was causing me pain. I had that surgery and also got fixed and a nice dental. I’m recovering very well and doing great with my foster family. My temporary foster has been wonderful and I get to curl up in laps and get lots of pets. They describe me as super easy and chill. My house training certificate has been signed. Click the Adopt tab, complete your application and ask for me, Tatiana, as a pup of interest. My adoption fee is $300

Xandra (LaPorte, TX)

I’m Xandra, a female chocolate and cream merleMiniature Schnauzer who is about five years old and weighs about fourteen pounds with natural and a docked tail. I’m good with other dogs, being groomed and bathed.  I’m crate and leash trained and my house training certificate should be in the mail very soon. I’m a skittish girl, so I think my forever home should be an all adult one as I think the little kids would scare me too much. Once I know I can trust my human, I love to cuddle with them.  Click the Adopt tab, complete your application and ask for me, Xandra, as a  pup of interest. My adoption fee is $300

Gerald (Montgomery, TX)

I’m Gerald a male white and brown Miniature Schnauzer who is about ten years old and weighs about twenty-one pounds with natural ears and tail. Sadly in my senior years I ended up in a shelter and was definitely in need of some TLC. I scored a great foster home and have been getting lots of snuggle time and enjoy hanging out with my foster dad watching the games. My foster family describe me as a sweet and gentle guy. My hobbies include sleeping through the night, morning naps, snuggles, afternoon naps, and exploring the back yard with my foster dog siblings. Although I’m nearly blind, I’m a curious guy and sometimes run into things, but I’m a quick learner though so I know to  avoid known hazards like stairs. I’m house trained as long as you listen when I tell you it is time for an outdoor break. I’m getting a dental and “fixed” and will be ready for adoption. Click the Adopt tab, complete your application and ask for me, Gerald, as a pup of interest.

Abby (Spring, TX)

I’m Abby, a female black and white Miniature Schnauzer mix who is about ten years old and weighs about twenty-eight pounds (yes I’m on a diet) with natural ears and tail. I was found on the hot streets of Gainesville dodging cars and a nice lady picked me up. I love to play and would probably do well with children. However, I never learned to take treats nicely, so best if I’m not with young children. I get along fine perfectly fine with other pups –even do well with ones that don’t like dogs. I’m good being groomed and at the vet. She describes me as wonderful. I’m not timid or shy and will share attention. I enjoy running in the yard. I’m house and leash trained and well behaved. Apartment living probably wouldn’t work for me as I tend to bark some when left in a crate when my foster leaves. But if left loose in the house, I’m quiet and I’m not destructive so no need for the crate.  Click the Adopt tab, complete your application and ask for me, Abby, as a pup of interest. My adoption fee is $200

Kylie (Spring, TX)

I’m Kylie, a female salt and pepper Miniature Schnauzer who is about ten years (or more)and who weighs about sixteen pounds with natural ears and docked tail. I was surrendered to SRT and taken to the vet. I’m a very sweet girl who does fine with other dogs and being groomed. I’m quiet and calm and since I’m a senior girl, just need a comfy bed so I can nap. I am blind and deaf, but do learn the house and get around ok. I was anemic and will be retested in a few weeks, but in the meantime, I just need a retirement home so I can live out my days in comfort. I nice soft doggie bed is perfect.
